As the saying goes, in books were sumptuous houses and graceful ladies.

The plan was set, but Lu Mo was still a bit unskilled when it came to carrying it out.

The first failure was in the morning.

Though no one else was aware of it, it had taken a long time for one person and one system to think things through.

Alas, one was the motherland's flower, who grew up under the red flag, and the other had seen too much in life but was still cruel.

When the system used its soft and cute childish voice to say, “Then how about you treat Ling like this and that, then this way, and finally do this and that. What do you think?”, Lu Mo couldn’t help but curl up his toes.

It instilled a kind of pain, a pain that came from simply listening.

Lu Mo frowned: “I don’t think I should.”

The system was annoyed: [Why not?]

“What I want is the scum value, not his life,” Lu Mo said, not in a good mood. “Besides, it seems you don’t understand sustainable development. Let’s say all of a sudden Ling is killed. What good is it for me to kill the chicken just to get the eggs?”

The system whispered bb: [You’re underestimating the endurance of an S-grade female.]

There were only a few races in existence that could physically travel through the universe.

That was the reason why they were standing where they were today.

With its powerful functions, the system browsed through ten TB’s worth of literature on physical and psychological abuse in only three seconds, and finally thought of a good plan for Lu Mo.

[Instead of actually physically harming the female, you can still hold him under the fear of being monitored and keep him worrying about a punishment that could come at any moment—he will undoubtedly become a psycho.]

And psychopaths were unlikely to have the control to stop themselves from hurting other people.

Lu Mo nodded with enthusiasm: “Please choose the most beautiful street lamp for me.”

[Don’t worry.] The system was geared up. [I’ll pick it out well for you since it’s your first time.]

Good!

Males on barren stars were rare to come across. Most of the shop owner’s customers had peculiar tastes. Whether it was something for their own pleasure or for others, he had it all. It was currently very hard to meet a male zerg so he was elated.

He felt that those weirdos had finally met the right zerg and therefore had the chance to prosper.

With just a quick glance, one could see that the grade of the accompanying female was definitely A-grade or even S-grade.

The silver-haired female clutched his arms and leaned against the window. His long legs overlapped, and his long hair swayed at his waist when he lowered his head.

He simply stood there quietly, yet the boss felt that his whole body was trembling, and his skin was getting goosebumps.

He dared not look any more, and turned his eyes away in a hurry.

The male looked familiar. There were only a few males on the planet, and Lu Mo was the richest of them—the most important thing was that the money was his own.

But…..

He used to look gloomy; now he looked standoffish.

Lu Mo’s gaze, which swept over the things arranged on the shelves and window-display, was drawn to the cold metal gadgets under some dim lighting.

He took hold of one of them casually and approached Ling while he fiddled with it in his hand.

“Ling, do you know what this is?”

An indifferent and cruel smile appeared on the male zerg’s face, “As long as you wear this around your neck, even if you’re a galaxy away, I’ll be able to find you.”

Ling’s pupils shrank.

The distance from here and the Imperial Star was exactly one galaxy.

[Ding, the target’s killing intent value has skyrocketed to 10%. Congratulations on the scum value’s increase of 100 points!]

“Oh, and this,” Lu Mo’s fingertips twisted about a small, transparent glass bead,“This thing will monitor you all day. No matter what you do, I’ll be able to see it with just a glance.”

[Ding, the target’s killing intent value has soared to 50%. Congratulations on the scum value’s increase of 500 points!]

“And there’s more!” said Lu Mo cheerfully, picking up a plain-looking remote control. “If I insert this controller into your central nervous system, I’ll be able to control everything you do—”

“So what do you think? Which one do you like?”

[Ding, the target’s killing intent value has soared to 99%. Congratulations on the scum value’s increase of 1000 points!]

The aforementioned blood-curdling killing intent had practically solidified into a physical entity; a particularly menacing scent of blood wafted into the air.

The shop owner was already kneeling down due to the pressure.

He was a B-grade female, just about one of the apex female zergs on this barren planet, yet he had never felt such a terrifying killing intent before.

It was like an invisible hand was wrapped around his throat, making it impossible for him to breathe; like cold cement that had been poured to keep him in place, making it so he was unable to escape.

Despite all of that, the male was still talking to himself, as if he hadn’t noticed anything.

Noticing the outline of bared fangs that were behind the male zerg, the shop owner closed his eyes in despair.

He wouldn’t be surprised if, in the next moment, he and the shop were reduced to ashes! What was wrong with Young Master Lu’s brain?!

Lu Mo had never felt so excited before. The adrenaline made his heart palpitate violently, making him feel almost high.

He looked at Ling’s murderous eyes, and his whole body felt so refreshed, as if he had been electrified.

He had been diligent following the path of a villain for three years.

Three years. Do you know what he had been doing for the last three years?

Every morning he knelt at the head of his bed and begged God to absolve him of his sins; every day, he would recite every execution method silently in his mind, imagining the manners in which he would probably die.

However, no one wants to bring him to justice! There wasn’t even a single accusation thrown his way!

No matter how much Lu Mo hinted at or clearly expressed his wants for punishment, he would only get the other party’s grateful or joyful eyes in exchange.

If that continued, his socialist values were going to become worse!

Ling was definitely a messenger of justice sent by Heaven to save him. Lu Mo lowered his eyes, concealing the relief and peace of mind in them, and raised Ling’s chin like an uncompromising villain,  a devilish smile painted on his face:

“Look, what is this?”

Ling’s eyelashes trembled.

He had fallen into an inextricable nightmare.

The nightmare had been with him for decades, and often whispered into his ears, “Kill them …… Kill them …… and you will be free from pain.

“What did you do wrong? Should you be treated like this?”

After his encounter with Lu Mo, the nightmare temporarily receded and he was finally at peace.

He was surprised to find that his vision wasn’t always filled with the color of blood anymore. Everything he used to see was always blurred, like an old film that had countless spots blemishing it.

It turned out, it was possible to see so clearly.

If he could, he would even stay on this barren planet for the rest of his life. Even if it was like being a shark trapped in a glass tank, he wouldn’t want to leave.

“Why……”

He heard his own voice broken, dry, and hoarse: “Why do you want to do this?”

Lu Mo showed a look of surprise, as if he had heard some joke, and replied contemptuously: “I really don’t know what you have to miss about Song Jianshu.”

In his open palm was a delicate badge: “He’s, ah, useless enough to lose this to me.”

It was a certain residence permit exclusively for  the Imperial Star.

Ling stared at Lu Mo’s fair palms in a daze, as if a storm had passed through his chaotic mind, rolling everything into a mess.

Didn’t this… mean to push him away?

A cat that had been wandering for many years had no sense of security, even if you reassured it time and time again. As soon as you opened the door, even if it was sleeping, it would awaken from its dreams.

Are you leaving?

Are you going to throw me out?

How long would it take for such a scarred heart to heal?

Perhaps, only by keeping it in an airtight cage would it feel at ease.

The male raised his chin with an expression of irresistible majesty, “Do you think just that is enough? I have never allowed omissions in what I have said. You will never be able to escape from me.”

It was obviously a distorted and weird sentence, but Ling felt that his empty heart had been filled in an instant.

Please say more.

Please look at me all the time.

Ling shuddered and bit his index finger, feeling that something uncontrollable was going to overflow.

The last glimmer of his already crumbling clarity was completely swallowed up at that moment.

I really am sick and hopeless.

In the puzzled eyes of the male zerg, Ling held Lu Mo’s hand and said, “I see, Master.”

[Ding, the target’s killing intent value has been reduced to 0%, please make persistent efforts next time!]

Lu Mo: Eh???

No, there is no such thing.

It shouldn’t be.

Something’s not right.

Lu Mo instantly became dejected. He was totally listless and left the store with a pile of things and Ling at his side. The shop owner stood trembling at the door, saying, “Please come again.”

The expression on his face was clearly the opposite, showing a ‘Farewell forever.’

When they sat in a high-fashion clothing store, Lu Mo arrogantly said, “This is only in order to not disgrace the glory of the Lu family that this young master reluctantly brings you here. An undeserving zerg like you would have only been worthy of serving this young master on your knees, naked.”

The female in the shop came and put an iced drink on the side table. It’s ice exuded mist, making it refreshing to look at.

Lu Mo smoothly stuffed the cup into Ling’s hand, “Your reward for dipping into my light.”

The clerk looked at Lu Mo and then at Ling.

Ling blinked at him. The clerk understood and looked at him sympathetically.

[Your male seems to have that serious illness.]

Lu Mo impatiently hurried Ling to try on clothes, casually pointing to a picture and then letting him go to change into it.

Before leaving, Ling looked at him meaningfully, “It turns out that Master likes this kind of thing.”

Lu Mo: “……”

He mentally hit the system: [Which one did I just point to?]

System: [I was reading, didn’t pay attention.]

[Don’t look, it’s useless to look.] Lu Mo said hopelessly, [No one can bring me to justice anymore.]

[Don’t be discouraged.] The system reassured. [Nothing in the world is difficult for those who have set their mind on something.]

Lu Mo sighed.

He started to be a demon again: “How long has it been since he went in!! How come he’s not out yet!”

After that, he stood up and quickly walked to the fitting room, then barged in.
