"Why would I lie to you! You're my grandfather. Do you think it's good for me if you get sick from being angry?" Qiao Mei said, caught between laughter and tears.

Li Gui's clothes were different. Qiao Mei had made it herself. The style and embroidery were not available in the capital and it was very stylish! However, Qiao Mei did not make it too fashionable or else people would think that it looked weird.

Li Gui observed carefully. Many women looked at her and quite a few of them even exclaimed in surprise! Then again, they might not be saying that she was beautiful. After all, Qiao Mei was so beautiful and dazzling that she would attract a lot of attention just by standing there.

Qiao Mei was her daughter and she felt extremely proud when she heard people praising Qiao Mei. She suddenly felt confident. Since she did not embarrass her children, she would walk forward proudly and let everyone see how good her children were.

After Qian'e moved near Qiao Mei's house, she would eat at Li Gui's house every day. It was not a bad thing for the two of them to look out for each other.
