"Yes, I'm the owner of this house," Qiao Mei said in a gentle tone as she looked at the neighbor.

"A while ago, a man came to your house. He knocked down the door and hasn't come back to repair it. He said his name is... Daniel and he asked me to tell you about his visit when I see you," the man said.

"Alright, thank you." After saying that, Qiao Mei looked at the house helplessly.

He could have just repaired the door if he knocked it down, right? Why did he have to take the car? Besides, she thought she had the car key? Why did he still have a key to the car?

Just as Qiao Mei was thinking about this, Daniel stopped his car behind her and yelled out, "Why didn't you tell me you are coming back! Fortunately, I come by every day!"

If not for the fact that Xia Zhe was still in his family's hands, Qiao Mei would definitely point at Daniel's nose and scold him for being a "perverted stalker"!

"Oh right! You don't know yet! It's my sister's engagement party tomorrow. There won't be many attendees at the banquet. It's just my relatives and a few families we do business with. Do you want to attend it with me? I... I still need a female companion," Daniel looked at Qiao Mei and asked expectantly.

Qiao Mei did not hear the second half of what Daniel said at all. Her mind was only filled with the news of Jessica's engagement and she immediately asked, "Who is your elder sister getting engaged to?"

"It's that guy Mr. Fang Chen from last time. You've met him before," Daniel said. "Didn't he reject your elder sister?" Qiao Mei asked as she pretended to be surprised. "Well... he probably changed his mind. No one will be able to reject a beauty like my sister. You haven't answered me yet! Will you accompany me to the party?" Daniel said.

Qiao Mei was furious inside. After taking a few deep breaths, she smiled at Daniel and said, "But I don't know how to dance and I don't know any etiquette. I don't have a suitable gown either."

"It's alright! It's just a simple family banquet! I'll bring you shopping to buy a new gown now!" Daniel said.

"Alright then. I'm looking forward to Miss Jessica's engagement party," Qiao Mei said.

Daniel almost screamed in joy. It was obvious that Qiao Mei was not Jessica's fan. Although Qiao Mei had said that she was a fan of Jessica the previous time, it must have been an excuse!

She was completely calm when she saw Jessica and did not even ask for Jessica's autograph. Daniel had seen Jessica at a news conference before and the fans below the stage looked like they wanted to swallow her alive. Qiao Mei did not behave like those fans at all.
