Chapter 2251: Escape to the City

"Assholes, what are you waiting for! I'll do it myself!" Alan angrily pulled out the gun from his belt loop and fired six shots at Linda. She fell over in a pool of blood.

No one dared to make a sound. Alan let out a long and contented sigh. The knot in his heart seemed to have eased a little. He smiled and took out a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe the blood off the gun.

"Feed it to the dogs," Alan said and returned to the study on the third floor.

The men in the room did not move. They looked down at Linda sadly. They did not even dare to walk forward to take a look at her.

The butler slowly walked up from the first floor. He took off his coat and covered Linda with it as he said, "Go out and buy some meat and big stick bones to feed the dogs. Linda had already bought a spot for herself a long time ago next to the Old Mistress's grave. Please help me carry her there."

Alan would not care about what they fed the dogs. He just wanted Linda dead.

"Sure..." the team leader replied. He led his subordinates to do as the butler instructed.

The rest of the servants began to clean the carpet and the floor in an orderly manner. In less than an hour, the corridor on the second floor was restored to its normal state, as if nothing had happened at all.

The ring leader smacked the table angrily and said, "Control yourselves, you trash! Is a woman more important than money! Have some respect for our reputation!"

For a moment, no one spoke. The corners of Jessica's mouth twitched a few times. She wondered why a group of bandits would even need to maintain a good reputation. The men worked quickly after they were paid and Jessica arrived at the city center that night.

However, the heavens seemed to want to play a joke on her. In an instant, it started raining cats and dogs but she had nowhere to go. She had been so busy running around for the past two days that she had not had a proper meal. She was about to run into a restaurant when she saw people from Alan's family inside.

Jessica hurriedly hid in a dark corner and curled up beside the trash can in fear. The lights were dim here and she could use the trash can lid to shelter herself from the rain for the time being. The people from Alan's family would let down their guard in the wee hours of the morning and she could leave then.

The people from "Spider Rose" quickly discovered Jessica's whereabouts. Yin Yue called Xia Zhe and said, "I have a piece of interesting news. Jessica has returned to Sky City."

"What has this got to do with me?" Xia Zhe asked coldly.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. She was still your girlfriend not long ago! Is this how you treat her?" Yin Yue asked teasingly. She knew about the relationship between Qiao Mei and Xia Zhe, and also knew that Jessica was just having a one-sided crush.

Xia Zhe wanted to hang up immediately, but Yin Yue seemed to know what he wanted to do. She quickly said, "I won't tease you anymore! Jessica is avoiding Alan's pursuit. I'm not sure what's happening inside Alan's family. Anyway, my subordinates said that Jessica is in a very sorry state now."

"Coordinates," Xia Zhe said.

Yin Yue told Xia Zhe the exact location and he hung up. Yin Yue looked at the phone and said helplessly, "Why does Pu Nan like this piece of ice cube?"
