Side Story 2 (3)

The person behind her seemed to still be dissatisfied. He held onto her without letting go, smelling the fragrance of her hair, and then lowered his head to lightly kiss her hair.

At this moment, Han Ming’s untimely voice came from outside, “Xiao Su, do you need any help with carrying things?” Xie Xinglin’s actions paused slightly, and his expression darkened a bit. Su Qiuge found it amusing to see him react this way all of a sudden, so she grabbed the cold beer, stood on tiptoes, and lightly pecked his lips. He eased up a bit and walked towards the living room.

The hotpot in the living room was steaming with hot vapor. Han Ming was playing a game when he saw Xie Xinglin approaching. Suddenly, he blurted out, “I’ll invite a few people from our team, and we can play together.” Wen Mingming, being a gaming enthusiast, immediately became interested and eagerly asked, “What game? King of Glory or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds?”

Han Ming glanced at Su Qiuge, pondered for a moment, and said, “Let’s go with King of Glory. I don’t think Xiao Su is familiar with the maps in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. At least King of Glory is 2D, and she can manage to keep up. With 3D, I doubt she’ll even recognize the roads or keep up with the teammates.” Wen Mingming nodded repeatedly and chimed in, “Old Han, your analysis is spot on.”

Han Ming furrowed his brows slightly and said, “Could you stop calling me ‘Old Han’? It didn’t feel awkward when we were in the prime of our high school days, but now that I’ve become an unmarried middle-aged man, it feels increasingly uncomfortable.” Wen Mingming was taken aback but quickly found it amusing. She laughed and said, “Don’t use the excuse of being unmarried to flirt with girls everywhere, okay?”

He could flirt with many women, and almost every girl he talked to would develop a liking for him. However, there were two women present that he could never conquer in his lifetime. One was Su Qiuge, his bro’s woman. If he dared to make a move, he would probably be crushed to ashes by Xie Xinglin, ground into dust. The other was Wen Mingming, his sworn brother’s woman.

He had tried to flirt with her back in high school, but it seemed that she truly regarded him as a brother. Just when he thought that Wen Mingming was destined to be single forever, she unexpectedly fell in love with a grunge-style guy when she went to the beach. She quickly became infatuated with him. Even after that grunge-style guy dumped her before the college entrance exam, Wen Mingming still couldn’t forget him, claiming he was a handsome guy with blond hair and blue eyes.

Every time he thought about this, Han Ming couldn’t help but wonder what was going on inside Wen Mingming’s mind. How could she consider that grunge-style guy attractive when a real handsome guy was right in front of her? Was she blind or something? The more Han Ming thought about it, the angrier he became, but he maintained a smile on his face and continued, “Coincidentally, our team is playing an internal match at this time. We just need to bring you guys in to make up the numbers. Since there are fewer people in the internal match, we need outsiders to fill the gaps. We’ll just say that you’re my guests.”

Naturally, Xie Xinglin would team up with Su Qiuge. When arranging the opponents, Xie Xinglin, Su Qiuge, and Su Yuanzhou were assigned to two unfamiliar teammates. On the other side were Han Ming, Gao Jing, and three other random players. Wen Mingming decided to watch the game for now.

Su Qiuge wasn’t very skilled, so Wen Mingming helped her with instructions once they entered the game. “You can play as Yao, like last time, and treat it as support. Learn from the God of Learning and play jungle. Stick to the God of Learning.”

At this moment, Xie Xinglin leaned in and turned his phone screen sideways, showing it to her. He raised an eyebrow and asked, “Which one do you like?” Su Qiuge let out an “Ah?” and leaned over to take a look. It turned out that he wanted her to pick a hero from the assassin category. She looked at the handsome assassins displayed in rows and couldn’t help but ask him, “Can you play all of them?” Xie Xinglin nodded and said, “I can play most of them, but it’s been a while since I last played, so I might be a bit rusty.”
