[Reward Granted: Spell Creation.]
Damien heard a bang go off inside his head and knew that some sort of explosion had taken place inside his head. He finally got it, this skill for which he came to this damn forest.
"Thank you, Lord Damien," Xavier looked down at his wounds that had been treated by Damien in a matter of a few seconds.
He had to admit that this man was truly a skilled 'doctor' as he called himself. If a healer was with him, he would have taken a good fifteen minutes to heal him and that too if he was a high-ranking healer.
If he was a low-ranking one —then he would need rejuvenation time after each healing spell.
A skill where mana was not needed —it could really come in handy.
However, before he could say anything else, Damien let out a strangled yell. He reached forward and threw his arms around Xavier before saying, "No thank you! It is a blessing that you got so many injuries."
Damien had believed that he would have to save the life of Thalia's father but turned out that it was never needed. What the system wanted from him was to use more of his skills and earn more points and experience.
Fortunately, his reward had nothing to do with the life and death of Thalia's father. Not that he was not going to save him, it was just such a relief to get his hands on such a fine skill.
"What do you mean my injuries are a blessing?" Xavier asked with a stiff expression. Was this man being sarcastic? Or was he thanking him for letting him use his body to refine his skills?
Damien glanced at Dan who stiffly looked away, he knew why this reward was handed to him before he finished his mission. Dan had made an exception for him and Damien was not going to let him down.
Not only was he going to take that beast down but he was also going to rescue Samuel.
"Because now I have a way to deal with that Impert Beast Snake," replied Damien with a sly expression on his face.
Xavier's expression turned confused as he looked up at Damien inquisitively. "What plan?" He asked after a moment of hesitation.
With bated breath the two of them waited, Xavier had engrossed the Impert Snake Beast enough for her to turn her back on them.
"Let's go," Damien said to Maui when the Impert Snake Beast swung her heavy tail full of spikes at Xavier.
"Wait, lord Damien! Take this first," Maui said to him as he handed something to Damien.
It was Waterblade. The dagger that Damien had left behind as he couldn't grab hold of it.
"Where did you—"
"Find it? I saw it lying next to Master Xavier and knew that it was yours. I saw it strapped on your waist earlier," Maui said to him and Damien patted the stead on his head.
"You have helped me a lot, Maui. Once this is over I will definitely repay you."
Damien strapped the dagger on his side and then turned to Maui before saying, "Bring me as close as possible to that Impert Snake Beast."
"Are you going to fight it as well?"Maui asked worriedly as he rose to the air and helped Damien up in the air.
Damien's lips curled up in a smirk as he shook his head and replied, "No. I am going to teach this thing, a lesson my own way."
This Impert Snake Beast in her next life would now think twice before targeting another doctor again.
Maui didn't question the man, instead, he pulled Damien up in the air. His face set as Maui flew closer and closer to the Impert Snake Beast which was entangled with Xavier.
Xavier who now looked like a fiery golden orb of fire dodged and attacked the snake again and again.
And as the Impert Snake Beast was too focused on him, it didn't sense the two of them charging at her.
"Now Maui!"
