Chapter 126: The True Capabilities

Master Godric laughed at his disappointed expression. "I never thought that I would one day meet a beastman who would feel annoyed at the thought of becoming a warrior; usually, the beastmen are dying to become warriors. Don't worry, I am not asking you to become a warrior beastman. This is only a measure to make sure that you will not die in a predetermined attack."

"The more you learn, the more your chances of survival will increase."

Master Godric had already planned to change the training regime of Damien. Instead of focusing on his strength, he decided that it was better to first hone the powers that Damien had so that he could control his beast core as soon as possible. If he couldn't morph into his beast form, he was worried that Damien would be in a difficult situation in the future.

"I understand." Damien nodded before taking the things that Master Godric handed him. "I will try to process these things as soon as possible."

The sooner he infused these things in his body, the sooner he would be able to get through another breakthrough. At least that was what Damien believed.

Master Godric nodded before letting Damien know about the training regime that he had prepared for him. "For now, just keep your faith in me. I will try to find more dragon crystals for you, but they are hard to find as most of the transcendental beastmen have long gone into hiding or have just faded. No one knows where they have stored their dragon scales."

"You should also try to look for resources that would help you recover your beast core and control over your mana as soon as possible. For the first half of your training, you should focus on controlling your mana. I heard from Xavier that you can understand and talk with beasts and beastmen in their beast form? Is that correct?"

"That's correct," Damien nodded. "Is there something wrong?"

"No, but I will like it if you keep this matter to yourself. I have already told Xavier to not tell this skill of yours to others. You might not remember this, but only the heir of the throne can understand the voices of the beasts and the beastmen. Usually, only the same kind of beastmen understand what their kinsmen are saying, and when faced with others, they cannot understand a thing."

"If Emiliano finds out that you have such a skill, then he will try his best to remove you from his path; I don't think you will like it?"

"No, I won't," Damien swallowed hard.

"I knew that much," Master Godric started with a twitch of his lips. "For now, start with the Ironclaw Eagle that you rescued. Try to control it; if that baby eagle obeys your commands, then I will think of a way to make you and the beasts who vow their loyalty to you grow together."

He was carrying these medicinal ingredients; thus, it did not take long for Damein to prepare the ointment and then pour it all inside a vial.

"What are you doing?" Wistoria asked when she saw Damien pour the ointment that he had created onto his hand: Should he not use it on her?

"Amplifying the effects of the potion," Damien relayed to her as he absorbed the potion and used it to create a cooling spell.

[Cooling spell unlocked.]

[236 Fame points are rewarded.]

[Would you like to purchase the burning ointment and combine it with the cooling spell?]

Damien tapped on 'yes' without thinking twice.

[Thank you for your purchase.]

[Ointment effects are amplified by +2%]

Damien smirked before releasing the spell. Silvery fumes like glow lit up the room before those fumes wrapped Wistoria's arm completely.

"This–" Wistoria's eyes widened in surprise, as she had never seen a spell like this before.

Healers could treat burns as well, but the process was not as painless as this one—she heard that the healers used spells to destroy the burnt skin and then regenerate new ones.

It was quite a painful process, but now she didn't feel any pain at all.
