Seeing the Stall owner agree so easily, Damien felt a bit regretful. If he had known that it was going to be this easy, then he would have gone for two silver coins for the entire pile.
However, the deal was done, and there were no take backs. He paid for the stones and then left the stall. He did not even walk three steps away from the stall when he heard an old man say to the stall owner, "You are lucky, mate. It seems like you finally got your hands on a fool. He actually brought so many useless stones for two silver coins."
The stall owner hissed at the old man and asked him to stay quiet because Damien was not far from the two of them. What if he returned and asked for money?
However, Damien had no plans to return these stones. Only time would tell if these stones were useless or not. .net
The three of them returned home after Damien finished buying the stones. Once he returned home, Damien headed straight to his room. He sat down on the bed with the water stones in his hands.
Damien did not know how to absorb the mana stone in his body, so he decided to do it the old way. However, after standing in the bathtub for an entire two minutes, He knew it was not going to work.
It seemed like the mana stones were different from the dragon scale. He then stepped out of the bathtub and walked to the bedroom where he sat down on the chair and studied the mana stone.
"Dan, can you tell me what the properties of these mana stones are?"
[These mana stones are formed and created by elemental magic. Each mana stone has a thin, solid film that covers the mana inside of it. However, this thin layer can be broken if they were to infuse together with the element they are created from.]
"You mean to say that I can break this mana stone if I were to drop it in water?" Damien asked.
"That's right."
Damien looked dubious, but he still picked up a mana stone that had the smallest amount of mana inside of it and then placed it inside the glass of water.
At first, nothing happened, but then the glass of water started to move more and more. Ripples formed inside the glass of water; it went on and on for a while before it came to a stop.
He stood up from the ground and walked over to the mirror in the room. When he saw his reflection in the mirror, Damien was surprised.
It was him alright.
But much taller and buff. He raised his hand and squeezed his forearm and was stunned to find that this scholarly body had muscles.
"What a wonderful breakthrough," Damien muttered, feeling pleased with himself.
But what pleased him even more was when he sat down and opened the acupuncture records that were given to him as a reward the last time.
He looked down at the screen and was surprised to find that the information was simply flowing inside of his head; he did not need to read anything more than three or four before he understood the concept that was noted down in the records.
"This is excellent," he muttered while flipping through the information provided to him. Though it was not incredibly fast, it was still better than before. It seems like the mana stones can actually strengthen the senses of a beastman.
Damien was quite satisfied with the changes in his body and eagerly finished reading the records. By the time he was done, he realised that it was dinner time and headed down the dining room.
When he arrived, he found his family and Wistoria sitting in the dining room.
"Where were you?" Wistoria asked him as she looked at him with a frown. "We have been waiting for you for fifteen minutes."
"Sorry, I was reading an acupuncture book and ended up losing track of time," Damien replied honestly as he sat down on the chair and picked up his cutlery.
"Acupuncture?" Henry raised his head and looked at his brother mockingly. "Did you already give up on your silly dream of becoming a doctor and take another route?"
He was glad that he brought the Holy Water for his mother. If he relied on his brother, who knows what would have happened to his mother?
