One of them was a goat beastman for sure, and no, Damien didn't realise this just from all the shaking and trembling the beastman was doing. It was because of the number of goat pellets that were left behind on the trail.
"Dom, can you stop taking your furry behind?" Damien heard the woman who was walking towards them say, and he recognised her as the same woman with whom Lexiel had a quarrel the last time Damien came to the guild.
"Easy for you to say, Serena," Dom snapped harshly while nibbling his nails. "Lexiel has been looking at us from the second the team was decided. I think that he is going to come after our team."
Serena and Damien turned to look at Lexiel, and indeed the man was staring at them with a leer on his lips.
"Oh, come on," Serena rolled her eyes and turned to look at the goat boy. "There is no need for you to worry. He can't kill you."
"Yeah, but he can have me pummelled me to a bloody pulp," Dom retorted. "I cannot understand how he got the best of the best."
Damien didn't know whether Lexiel's team was best among the rest, but when he saw the tall and muscular beastmen in Lexiel's team, who looked just as mean and scary as him, he knew that Dom was not lying.
Damien tied the bandana across his forehead and turned to look at Serena and the rest of the team. He hoped that they knew what they were doing more than him.
"You have five minutes to come up with the best strategy," Lord Godric stated from the side of the training ground. "Once the fight minutes are up, the hiders will run inside the forest and hide. While the defenders will follow them. As for the seeker teams, they will have to wait for a total of ten minutes before chasing the defenders. Remember, attacking the hider is not allowed!"

No sooner, he finished speaking, a hush fell around the edge of the forest, and everyone started to think of a strategy to win the game.
"Alright, what kind of skills do you have?" Damien asked the team.
"Does it matter?" asked the lynx beastman.
BANG!
All the air in his lungs was knocked out as a large, gnarled tree attacked him.
He was sent flying and would have come crashing down if not for Samuel to catch him.
"Thanks," Damien gasped while nursing his waist.
"You are welcome," Sam said to him as he helped him down. "Pay attention to your surroundings; this is an elf forest. They do not allow beastmen to enter so easily. There will be all kinds of obstacles."
"Glad to know that," Damien commented as he got to his feet. He said to the rest, "I think it will be better if we take a look at the obstacles in front of us."
"How do we do that?" Dom asked.
Damien glanced at him before he activated his eye of observation and looked around. "I will be in charge of telling what lies in front of us, and you will be taking it down. Is it alright?"
Serena looked at his glowing eyes and nodded. "Alright."
Dom was not happy about taking the lead, but he still followed Damien as he seemed to know what he was doing. With Serena and the rest in front, Damien started walking in the middle.
"On your right, there is a tree that seems to be moving," Damien told the rest.
At the same time, he turned to look at Claw and asked him to circle the perimeter lest they remain unaware of their opponents and their movements.
"The Whipping Wisps," Serena frowned when she heard Damien say that there was a moving tree in front of them. "It's a guardian tree; there is no way we will be able to cross it without permission."
