Chapter 54- Possesive Kyle
'I can sense him....' Around eight on the clock, a certain violet-haired woman in her early twenties could be seen walking around the students' dorm with a peculiar pocket watch-like device in her hand.
She is the Professor of Potions who is given charge of first and second-year students. The youngest Professor without any prior teaching experience to be ever recruited by the Starfall Academy—Clara.
However, her position as the Professor while she is so young was frowned upon. The minimal experience as a tutor aside, the young men wouldn't be able to focus on their studies if their teacher was so young and charming—some board members said. However, in the end, their concern was dismissed as a trivial matter in comparison to the benefits which Clara could bring; not only as a Professor but as a researcher, as well.
However, since there were some objections to her recruitment, Clara needed to act accordingly and win everyone's trust. Currently, her job is hanging with a frail thread which can be cut off with the slightest of mistakes.
...yet, here she was. Wandering around the dorm area while trying to find a certain person she has been eager to meet. Clara is not given the charge of taking rounds of the Academy for security purposes at night. That role is given to those who excel in defensive and offensive-type spells. That's why her presence here wouldn't be batted off with any excuse she makes.
'Hmm...my spells haven't lost the connection nor that artifact but why is it so difficult to locate him?' Clara frowned upon finding herself wandering in a loop around some houses. Although the presence of her potions was strong around these areas, without a definite clue she couldn't knock on someone's door and ask, 'Are you my saviour?'
Clara's shoulders slumped in dejection as she decided to continue her investigation tomorrow—when suddenly, a familiar voice called out to her,
"Professor Clara? What are you doing here at this hour?" The olive green-haired Professor—Ceaser walked toward her with a deep frown marring his stern face.
Truth be told, he was the last teacher she wanted to meet, but running away was not an option any longer since she is a Professor now,
"I was wandering around while thinking about my research and before I knew I was here. Sorry to make you worry, Professor." Clara could feel that there was something off about this man—more like he gave the vibe of those people who used to see Clara just as a pretty face back in the village.
"Should I escort you back to your room?"
Clara, with her smile now slightly falling apart, politely declined, "It won't be necessary, Professor. Okay then, good night." With a slight bow, she turned on her heels and walked away.
Ceaser remained rooted in his spot as he watched Clara's retreating figure.
His head then turned toward his left where a certain young man was given to reside.
"Logan...did she come to meet him?" The possibility made Ceaser's blood boil but it cannot be refuted that Clara and Logan seemed close during the homeroom as well. And for Clara to be found around this place at this hour...
'Logan...'
The name is now etched in Ceaser's subconscious and sooner or later he would be having a very interesting interaction with the boy.

Just the opposite side of the house where Ceaser glared, a boy with silvery hair could be seen currently standing on the roof of one of the buildings.
Alatia was baffled as she turned to look at him, and mindlessly answered, "We are deskmates so...."
"--!" Now Kyle was more cautious rather than being just wary.
Canonically Logan was supposed to sit with the pink-haired girl who is also Elera's master. And Alatia was supposed to sit alone until very late in the semester.
'Did my presence create this difference....?' There was no point in pondering since Kyle knew that it was the case. The sparring round is arranged by the teachers, despite it being shown that the matchups are arranged based on a lottery system. And since Kyle had scored brilliantly in the first two rounds—which the original Kyle failed to do—that's why Kyle was positioned against a barrier master who was supposed to either defeat Kyle or at least deduct some marks from his perfect-looking scorecard.
But Kyle went beyond their expectations and because of that, the plot shifted again.
'Damnit!' As much Kyle didn't want Alatia and Logan to come in contact, because of his actions they are now deskmates.
Alatia, who found a golden chance to tease Kyle, was about to ask whether he was jealous—when suddenly Kyle leaned down and embraced her from behind. His arms possessively encircled her waist and the grip he had on her, felt like she was being caged.
His hot breath brushed against her nape as Kyle rested his face in the crook of her neck.
A shiver travelled down her spine feeling this aggressiveness so early in the morning—to the point that Alatia became totally motionless.
Amidst the growing tension, Kyle's husky voice resonated clearly in her ears, "Ala....you are my girlfriend right?"
Alatia stiffly nodded and felt her heart beating just like how it was last night when they were kissing in the kitchen.
"Then can you listen to your boyfriend and stop sitting with another guy? I really don't like it."
If he says in such a way, then forget about that boy, Alatia would spend the rest of her schooling days sitting alone.
However, naturally, she didn't say that and obediently replied, "I won't sit with him anymore."
"Good girl." Kyle kissed her cheeks softly before standing back up.
Leaving a drained Alatia behind who was still breathing heavily, Kyle went to the kitchen
to prepare breakfast for his lady~
