Volume 3 - CH 1

For a while after that, elementary students were forbidden to enter the forest. The medicinal herbs used in the healing magic practice were not gathered in the forest, but were grown in teacher Celia's medicinal herb garden.

Soon, a rumor spread that a large investigation group had entered the forest. For a few days, smoke rising from deep in the forest could be seen from the dormitory windows, and students would whisper to each other about what kind of smoke it was, or whether the teachers and seniors were fighting monsters.

A short time later, the forest entry ban was lifted. No explanations were given to the students at the elementary grades as to what the investigative group saw in the forest, how many monsters were there, or what measures had been taken.

They were simply told that the forest was now safe and that they could go in, but not too deep into the forest.

Once the forest was opened as before, the students at the elementary grades quickly returned to their normal routine.

Eldo, who was almost kidnapped by a monster, was fortunate that he had used up all his magical power and was unconscious, so he remembered almost nothing and suffered only a small mental shock. As always, he and Cicily are grateful for the advice they get from Almark.

Almark and Torque became temporarily famous for having rescued the junior student from the monster, and they were asked about the situation by various people, not to mention their classmates, but neither Almark nor Torque were injured, and neither said that they had defeated the monster or not. Since they were very tight-lipped about it, the students' interest gradually faded away.

The first time he saw Torque  , he thought he was a good person, but he was not proud of the fact that he had defeated a monster .

The ban on entering the forest was lifted, and the two of them naturally stopped speaking about that

Summer was approaching.

The topic of conversation these days is how to spend the summer vacation.

Most students spend the nearly two-month long vacation back home with their parents.

Even though they are all potential magicians, they are still children. It is natural for them to want to return home to their parents, who live in a boarding school and have been separated from them for a long time.

On the first day of vacation, everyone's parents come to pick up their kids. For children of noble families, instead of their parents, the butler would come with many servants to pick them up.

Break time. The wind coming in through the window was pleasant.

Morgen looks out the window and spoke.

Almark is not very interested in it.

It has already been several months since he entered this academy.

He still has only been allowed to do meditation

Some are voluntarily trying even more advanced spells, such as Norish's Wind Delivery spell. Toruku's magic in the Jalanon incident was also great.

While listening to Morgen's talk, Almark finds himself unconsciously making a psychological state of meditation. It's as if he is vaguely kneading the magic in his body with the fingers of his mind.

If he goes back north, it will be a year at the earliest before he comes back to school again. he don't even know where his dad is now, and he has nowhere to go."

Morgen's face brightened.

"I am going to stay in the dorm all the time,"

"It's the only option,"

He don't know why Mogen is so happy as he answered him .

"I'm not alone."

"What?"

“I thought I was the only one in our class who didn't go home for summer vacation. I was wondering what I was going to do for almost two months. But I'm glad you're staying .”

"Oh, that's what you're means “

“I have to practice every day to catch up with you guys, I can't spend that much time with you every day."

"I know that."

" But just the thought of not being alone makes me feel happy".

He does not hide his joy. Almark is surprised , but decides to ask him why he is not returning home
