C7 – Cultivation Room
The Cultivation Room is the cornerstone of any sect. Linked to the earth’s veins, it enables warriors to draw in the Spiritual Energy and elevate their realms.
Peng Gengkun, however, was unlike his fellow warriors. While others absorbed Spiritual Energy directly into their bodies, Peng Gengkun channeled it into his system. Lacking a Qi Sea, he was incapable of traditional cultivation and had to resort to consuming items imbued with Spiritual Energy to progress.
Approaching the Cultivation Room, Peng Gengkun was momentarily taken aback by the sheer size of the structure before him. The room was an assemblage of countless box-like chambers, resembling a prison more than a place of enlightenment. Despite his indifference to his surroundings while cultivating, the stark simplicity of the Cultivation Room was unexpected.
Taking a few steps forward, Peng Gengkun sensed a stir within the Leviathan-roc System.
“The records were accurate! The Cultivation Room does tap into the earth’s veins and is rich with Spiritual Energy. Even practicing on the outskirts will be advantageous,” he mused.
Observing his surroundings, Peng Gengkun noted many Outer Sect disciples clustered nearby, harnessing the Spiritual Energy radiating from the Cultivation Room.
But Peng Gengkun was distinct from these disciples.
With a sweep of his sleeve, he strode confidently toward the Cultivation Room.
His actions caught the attention of several Outer Sect disciples, who whispered among themselves.
“Isn’t he from the Outer Sect? How can he dare to enter the Cultivation Room? There are penalties for that!”
“I’ve heard he’s had a breakthrough and is now an elite disciple, entitled to use the Cultivation Room.”
One disciple looked on with envy, “We’re already reaping immense benefits just from the residual Spiritual Energy here. Imagine if we could enter the Cultivation Room like him!”
“It’s said that the Cultivation Room is categorized into four tiers. Elite disciples are restricted to the Grade D rooms, while only Inner Sect members have access to the Grade B and C rooms!”
“What about the Grade A Cultivation Room?”
“That’s me,” Peng Gengkun said, brushing off his sleeves with a serious tone. “I am Peng Gengkun!”
The disciple’s eyes lit up with recognition upon hearing Peng Gengkun’s straightforward admission. “So it is you! What a coincidence—I thought I’d have to come looking for you myself.”
Clutching his fist and looking down with a hint of disdain, the disciple declared, “I’m Wei Mingzhi. Wei Pengxing is my younger brother.”
Peng Gengkun instantly grasped the situation.
“Ah, so Wei Pengxing couldn’t beat me and went crying back to you! What rotten luck to run into you here—he’s an Inner Sect disciple, after all.”
Peng Gengkun’s face flickered with uncertainty as he weighed his options. He had bested Wei Mingzhi, but whether he could take on Wei Pengxing was another matter entirely. As just an elite disciple, he lacked the experience to confront someone from the Inner Sect.
Wei Pengxing, catching the unease on Peng Gengkun’s face, let out a mocking laugh. “As an Inner Sect disciple, I have no interest in bullying the weak. Just hand over the Space Ring, return my brother’s Spirit Stone, and kneel to apologize, and I’ll let you off. Otherwise...”
The implied threat in Wei Pengxing’s unfinished sentence hung heavily in the air.
Peng Gengkun snapped back to reality.
“The Space Ring has been consumed by the Leviathan-roc System, transforming into the Leviathan-roc Space for my personal storage. It’s impossible for me to hand it over now! Moreover, I’m not the one at fault here—it’s Wei Pengxing who provoked me into defending myself. If Wei Mingzhi wants to come at me, there’s no way I’m backing down.”
With resolve hardening in his heart, Peng Gengkun’s fists tightened.
“With my Grade Four Great Vajra Palm, I’m not necessarily doomed to defeat.”
Without a trace of doubt, Peng Gengkun responded, “I’m afraid I can’t accommodate your demands. Wei Pengxing got what he deserved, and as for the Space Ring, you can forget about it.”
At these words, Wei Mingzhi’s anger flared.
“You, an elite disciple, have the audacity to defy my commands? You must not fear death! Don’t fool yourself into thinking that the sect’s rules will protect you—I won’t hesitate to act. As an Inner Sect disciple, I can eliminate you under the guise of my status and then leverage my family’s influence to escape any consequences!”
Peng Gengkun flashed a grin and tightened his fists, retorting, “So you’re brimming with confidence, huh? Well then, let’s skip the talk. Bring it on. I’m eager to see what’s so special about Inner Sect disciples!”
