Chapter 5 - What about your wife?

They completed the lunch with small talk. Left restaurant to go to the office.

They walked side by side and entered Harley building and took the CEO designated elevator, reached the last floor.

Assistant Lilly greeted CEO to which Sky gave a nod and entered the office.

Sky directed Andy towards the sofa and went near the coffee machine and asked, "What would you like to drink? Coffee?"

Andy replied "No, Thank you" with a faint smile on his face.

Sky brought two glass of water and kept on the coffee table and sat on the couch.

Andy was looking at the huge monochrome designed spacious office and expressed admiration for the interior.

"You have a magnificent office. I thought you like bright colors and shades than black and white."

Sky looked around her office once with a vague smile, she replied word for a word, "Yeah, I liked bright colors. But I don't really like them now."

Andy deciphered the meaning of her reply and became quiet. Sky stood up to walk towards her desk to make a call through the intercom and noticed Andy Standing up.

She gestured him to sit down and made a call, "Lilly bring the requested vacancy list" and she disconnected the call.

Assistant Lilly entered the office after a knock, saw them sitting in the rest area and proceeded towards them.

She greeted and handed the list to Sky. "Ms.Sky, is there anything else I can help you with?" Sky didn't reply to her, so she stood rooted.

Sky looked through the list and handed it to Andy before saying, "See if you like any position or any position which you can do."

Assistant Lilly was shocked to see how courteous the CEO with the person.

Andy went through the list, "They are different domains from what I have studied or worked on. I think the post in the security department has no qualification constraint."

Sky took back the list from him and checked the post, it was a guard post. She was taken aback. She went through the list again to check which can be appropriate to him but found none.

Sky told Lilly, "Lilly, Ask the HR Director to reach me right now."

Assistant Lilly responded and exited the office to carry out the instruction.

Sky looked at Andy and chided him, "You are a Masters' graduate, what's wrong with you? Why did you choose the guard post?"

"After losing the job in my old company, I tried to do many jobs, security to part-time jobs. But it was not enough to feed my family. If I get at least Guard job here, I can feed my family"

Sky was horrified, after a movement of silence. With a lot of struggle, she asked, "What about your wife? isn't she working?"
