Chapter 49 - He never could repay to Sky

"I trust my little sister. Even though she is kind, she is not stupid to do the same mistake." Jai said proudly.

"But if I hear, you taking advantage of her kindness or if she faces any problem because of you, Don't even think I will let you off this time." Jai clearly threatened Andy.

Andy nodded, "Don't worry I will not let that happen."

Jai nodded and was about to get up, Andy spoke. "Can I ask you something?"

"Shoot" Jai sat down.

"Why neither you nor Loran met me after that day? It is unlikely how you guys do the things."

"That day? You mean your wedding day ?" Jai deliberately asked.

Andy lowered his head and nodded. He was ashamed to say it out too.

"Why do you think?" Jai threw the same question back to him.

"Did you guys scold Sky? and believed us?" Andy was curious why Barton brothers never scolded or beat him up for insulting Sky.

"Andy! You are very funny." Jai had a sardonic smile.

Andy stayed silent without knowing how to continue to ask and mocked himself.

"Did you try to contact her or tried to know how she was doing after your and your mom's extraordinary creation?"

Jai didn't wait for his reply or didn't give him time to think, "Hmm, I don't think so. Because you got a new girl to care about right?" Jai mocked him mercilessly.

Andy turned pale, he felt awkward even to look at Jai.

Jai clenched his fist and controlled himself.

"Fine, I tell you what happened but it's not for you to pity Sky. You should know what you lost running behind something else which was unworthy."

"She took a promise from the Barton family not to do anything to the Gill family. Mr.Harley wanted to sue you and your mom for defamation, With her real identity, you guys would have at least sentenced for 5 years and later he would have destroyed the Gills completely. But..."

Jai mobile started ringing, He checked the caller Id. He turned gentle and gestured Andy to be silent.

"Hey, Little Sister! you woke up?"

"Did you sleep well?"

"I'm nearby, I will be home soon. First, have your breakfast. Don't wait for me"

"Good! See you."

Jai hung up the call and saw Andy. His gentleness was nowhere to be seen after the call.

"Now, for your job, she blackmailed her father that she will resign. That time she threatened her father with her life just to save people like you. In return, she took over the CEO position which she never liked."

Jai sighed. "Leave Mr.Harley, Do you think we, The Bartons' couldn't ruin your family? You were a very lucky man to had my little sister as your friend."

"Indeed, Karma is a bitch, Gills are a perfect example for it. Isn't it? You and your family paid for your mistakes."
