Chapter 174 - Amie left with David

Sky had booked a cab for Andy, Since he drank a lot of beer, he was swaying a little hence Sky asked Sam to support him till he hopped the cab.

Sam, Peter, and Clark had double times the beer which Andy drank. But Sam didn't look like he was drunk. Peter seemed to be smiling and making jokes a little more than usual. Clark was knocked out.

Soon, Maxwell came with Harley's chief security guard who knew Sky. They left with Peter and Clark.

David's main security people came to pick Sky but Sam insisted on leaving her first home and then he will go. Hence Sky drove the car since he was drunk. one security car was in the front and the other one was behind her car.

"Are you looking down on me? Were two cars of guards necessary?"

Sky smiled listening to his question. His tone was gentle but he was trying to be in anger.

"You had liters of beer and still so calm. How can I look down on you?" Sky questioned back.

She concentrated on driving and didn't check on him. When she finally reached the mansion, she noticed him sleeping peacefully. She asked the butler to tidy a room in the outhouse and to help Sam.

When she entered, she saw David watching business news on television. She lay on the sofa resting her head on her father's lap. "Dad!"

David's expression turned gentle and softly stroked her hair as he signaled a maid to turn off the Television. "How come you haven't drunk?"

"Didn't you say I'm not allowed to drink except with you or Brother Jai. Even Brother Jai and Loran said the same thing." Sky replied softly and closed her eyes.

"Enjoyed today?" David started small talks with his daughter. Sky started telling about what happened after they left the office but before she could finish, she dozed off.

He looked at her as his lips titled upwards. He missed her for twenty-one years. whenever he wanted to meet her, he made sure to get busy with the work to distract himself. He knew very well that Milton's people were keeping an eye on him all the time and searching for her.

He was prepared to live alone so that he could keep his daughter safe. He was an orphan who grew up in an orphanage, He had nobody by his side when he grew up. He had to do part-time work for his daily expenses and his studies expenses were covered with the scholarships.

He started a small company, then met Amie Milton who joined his company. They fell in love with each other, Got their marriage certificate after dating two years.

When they met Amie's parents, they weren't ready to accept their relation. So Amie left with David when she heard her father say that they disowning her and removing her from the family tree.

David had hosted a beach wedding as per Amie's wedding dream. Only those three years which were spent with Amie were the happiest days in his life before Sky moved to the capital city.

He had nobody to call his own. After the disaster with Amie, the only way left for him to save his daughter was by sending her to an orphanage.
