Chapter 185 - Shot on her back

Peter and Jimmy reached the other side opposite to them and made some action towards them. Sky who was standing behind Sam notice the movements of Sam and peeked to see them making actions but didn't understand anything.

she saw Sam replying them with his actions. Even she wanted to know what they are gesturing, she knew that this wasn't the time to ask hence she didn't bother them.

Sky heard peter saying, "Stay there, Don't run. Stay...", Sky changed her line of sight from Sam's back to Peter. She saw a girl crying and running but later she clearly saw that girl shot on her back and fell on the floor in front of them.

"Ahh" Sky cried as she squatted, covered her ears by hands. Dug her face in between her legs. Even though she heard people screaming and bullets rain, she was blocked by Sam and she didn't see anybody.

When she heard Peter's voice, subconsciously she checked them and saw a girl shot live and falling on the floor. She always thought that type of scenes only comes in movie and drama. She never thought she would watch in her real life.

Sam was shocked when he heard Sky's scream, she was already squatting on the floor when he looked at her. He squatted, patted on her back and repeatedly told her to calm down.

But Sky was in no condition to hear him. She had pressed her ear very hard and was mumbling continuously. He couldn't understand what she said hence he shook her few times and managed to raise her head above. He was jolted at the sight of her.

He always has seen her as strong-headed, arrogant, lively, sad but this was his first time see her crying and terrified. Her eyes were scarlet and lightly swollen as tears were rolling down on her cheeks continuously, her nose had turned red due to crying.

He couldn't read her lips hence moved his ear to her, "I don't want to stay here.". It took him nearly a minute to understand what she was mumbling between her sobs. He stared at her cluelessly for a long time before recovering.

He didn't know what to do, how to calm a girl. He knew well if he talks about something and distracts her, she can keep up for some time. "Sky, If you sit and cry like this, are you going to celebrate your brother's birthday with your swollen eyes?"

He was successful in his attempt, She blinked twice and said, "Huh?"

"You are looking like a white and red panda. Very ugly. Stop crying. We will leave in a few minutes." He said as he helped her to wipe her tears with his jacket sleeves.

Sky looked at Sam's puzzled, worried expression, She knew she has to obedient and this was not time to cry. A small mistake from her may cause somebody's life.

She clenched her fists and nodded "Hmm" Sky hummed and wiped her cheeks and stopped crying.

Sam sighed lightly after knowing she wasn't crying. Bullets sounds were decreased, people weren't shouting like early. Sam had turned back to Peter, with some gestures they decided on something.
