Chapter 273 - You should pay extra attention

David's assistant quickly lowered his head when he subconsciously saw Sky glaring him.

"Lass, I'm not giving in this time." David was back to stubborn mode.

Sky rolled her eyes, "Can they come?" Sky pointed Sam and Clark.

David nodded. Sky asked, "Clark, you want to come?"

"Sister Sky, I... I..." Clark didn't want to go.

Sky understood from his expression and turned to Sam, "Are you coming? is your brother invited?"

Sam nodded, "Brother Dan is attending. I..." Sam looked at David who nodded in response. "I will attend."

"Great then, Dad I'm coming with you and Sam will also come. Importantly, My identity will be Sky Barton or else I will not come." She made her stance clear.

David agreed, "You will be my assistant, happy?"

Sky hummed and checked the dress code, evening gown for woman and suit for men. She had AG's gowns so no shopping required. David had many suits. "Sam, Do you want to buy a suit?"

"I have." He replied to her, "Mr.Harley, If nothing else, we will leave." Sam stood up.

David nodded at Sam.

"Ms.Sky, I will come with Brother Dan so I will see you at the venue." Sam informed Sky and left with Clark.

At Legacy Banquet hall

Guests started entering in the evening at six o'clock. Daniel and Sam entered the hall together at quarter past six. Sky and David entered at half-past six.

Sky held David's arms and entered the hall. The legacy Banquet hall was huge and decorated lavishly. It was under Sigma industries. The party was arranged and managed by Sigma industries as well since the Optimum community was hopeless.

Seeing nearly eighty people inside, Sky asked David in low voice, "Dad, Isn't it only twenty companies? Why so many are there?"

David had a faint smile as he was nodding at some people and answered Sky, "The smaller or uninvited companies will request the invited companies to take them here so that they can meet and greet others and you know about the other business talk."

Sky nodded as she understood, "Dad, did you also bring in people like that?"

David's smile grew wide, "I know my daughter will beat me up if I let other butter me up."

Sky chuckled, "Indeed!"

"Chairman Harley. It's been a long time." Somebody in the forties greeted David.

"President Stefan" David shook his hands with him.

"And the lady?" President Stefan asked looking at Sky. She gave a faint looking at him and let David answer.

"My assistant, Ms.Barton" David replied to President Stefan looking at Sky.

"Chairman Harley, You have a pretty assistant. Hello Ms.Barton" President Stefan complimented, greeted Sky and he extended his hand towards Sky.

"Hello, President Stefan. Thank you for the compliment." Sky's reply wasn't as affable as how David and Stefan spoke to each other.

Later President Stefan and David started talking about their previous meet and about their business. When Sky heard President Stefan giving his suggestion on running Harley, Sky smirked.

"President Stefan, I heard your subsidiary entertainment company artist caught doing drugs. You should be more careful next time else it will tarnish your company reputation completely." Sky said with a smile on her face.

David clenched his teeth to control his laughter. "Mmm, Ms.Barton is right. President Stefan, you should pay extra attention."

President Stefan cursed Sky in mind and excused after small talk.
