Arlo took his car inside the second-hand car showroom. Sky saw the hummer entering the showroom and puzzled. She took the right side and parked the car next to the entrance.
After five minutes, Arlo came out of the showroom.
Sky sent Clark behind Arlo. Sky glared at Peter, "You are coming with me."
She entered the showroom and looked around ignoring the manager until she spotted the hummer. "May I know the price of the car?"
Sky brushed her hand on the bonnet and spoke again, "Seems like it's parked now. Is it sold now to your showroom?"
"Ahh.." manager didn't seem to process her question.
Sky checked inside, "This is modified. isn't it?"
"Miss... Do you want to take a test drive?" The manager finally composed himself.
"Who drove this car a few minutes back?" Sky asked her another question.
"One. of our... customer wanted to buy it." Manager replied.
"Why didn't he buy? Is there a problem with the car?" Sky asked again.
The manager was just informed to consider Arlo as a customer and that car as their second-hand car. He can't say the car has the problem because the reputation of the showroom would ruin hence he took the money as the reason.
"He said he couldn't afford it." Manager lied.
"Oh!" Sky faced the manager, "So can we take the car for a day before confirming? I think the previous customer did the same."
Manager's lips twitched. 'Why is this woman so overbearing than that man?'
But he nodded, "Leave your contact information and take the car."
Peter sighed and felt pity for Arlo. "Ms.Sky, why do you want the second-hand car. Let's go. If you want, your dad will get you a new car."
"Can you give us a minute?" Sky asked the manager who left swiftly.
"Do I look like a fool?" Sky asked Peter calmly.
Then she pointed at the number plate, "People should spend a fortune for this number. I entered here because of Arlo. But I still feel something fishy with what's going on."
Peter wanted to bang his head to the wall. He wished that Sky should have been a little dumb.
Sky called David, "Dad, sorry for disturbing. Can you give me two minutes?"
"Lass, What happened?" David's worried voice heard on the other end hearing her speak too formal.
"Do you like hummer?" Sky asked.
"We will not get that car as we want Sky. Why are..." Sky cut him off.
"Dad it's a second hand, modified, fancy number plate, series of 9. Want it?" Sky didn't beat around the bush.
"Okay. Get it." David didn't think much and agreed to her.
"See you at home." Sky hung up and called the showroom manager.
The manager was relaying the information to Arlo when she called. he hung up his call and went towards Sky.
"State the price?" Sky asked directly.
The manager wasn't prepared for the question. He didn't even know the price of the car.
"I.. I..." He wanted to say 'I don't know' but he can't say that. "I will check and let you know."
"Fine, I will come with you to the office." Sky was too domineering for the manager and Peter to handle.
When Sky followed the manager, she checked the price of the hummer h2 on her mobile and kept it back in her pocket.
That manager played with his file for nearly a minute and spoke with a lot of difficulties. "Miss, it's thirty thousand dollars."
