Chapter 322 - I kidnapped her

Sky thought about her encounter with President Milton and replied: "Hmm... In Optimum!"

"What exactly happened? Did he say anything to you?" Joe's main reason to meet her was this hence he rushed to see her very next day he returned from the forest.

"Why do you sound like you don't like your father?" Sky didn't miss to notice that.

"Little sister!" Joe turned gloomy.

"Okay, I will say. After the waltz, your dad held my hand whirled me many times until I got dizzy and stopped in the center of the dance floor. I mocked him about his manners then Dad took me away."

Joe asked his next question, "What did he say that frightened you?"

"He didn't speak anything. He is scary. Especially that scar near his eyebrow." After finishing she realized she was talking bad about his father in front of him.

Even though what she said was the truth, who would like anybody talking ill about their parents?

She thought to relax the situation, "Mmm... Brother Joe! I know I shouldn't talk about your father like that. I just told what happened. Even if he wasn't your father and somebody else. I still would have reproached them."

Joe didn't feel bad for what she did. He was thinking about how to keep his father away from her. After hearing 'Brother Joe' his lips curled up and heard her convincing voice.

"Hmmm eat!" Joe didn't show any reaction to her. Sky took her wine glass and stared sipping as she tried to read his expression.

Joe was using his mobile. He noticed her looking at him when she almost finished her wine. He furrowed his brows and asked, "Why are you drinking so fast? I know your alcohol tolerance is terrible."

Sky almost choked on her wine. Her alcohol tolerance was always a sensitive topic. "Why did you order then? Hmph!"

Looking at her grim face, he thought she wants to drinks more, "Okay, you can drink more!"

Sky took her glass back instantly to stop him pouring more wine to her glass, "No! I have to go back to work."

Joe controlled his laughter and asked teasingly, "Little Sister, Can you drink more than a glass?"

Sky knew he was pulling her leg for giving work as the reason. She ignored that question and finished eating soon as they spoke.

"Brother Joe, I will use the restroom and come" Sky said after dabbing her lips with a tissue.

Joe hummed and finished his wine. After checking the time, he took her jacket and went towards the elevator to wait for her.

When Sky exited the restroom, she saw Joe holding her jacket and talking with somebody. She couldn't see another person as he was behind the wall. Joe noticed her after listening to the clacking sound of her heels.

He helped her to wear her jacket. A man's voice sounded which was known to Sky, "Joe! Your date?"

Sky flipped her long hair back after wearing jacket and saw that man. She had forgotten him after dinner with him.

"President Harley!" Kris surprised voice sounded.

"You two know each other?" Sky and Joe asked in unison.

Joe knew very fewer people know her as President Harley and she didn't really meet anybody in the business circle if it wasn't necessary.

"How do you guys know each other?" Kris asked later.

Joe held her by the shoulder, "I kidnapped her."

Sky elbowed him and spoke to Kris, "President Lan, I hope you don't address me as President in public. Ms.Sky would be appropriate. Or no need to bother about me."

Joe shook his head resignedly. She had treated him coldly too but it was far better than how she spoke to Kris.

Kris noticed their small interactions and her frosty words. "I'm sorry. "

Sky turned to Joe, "You are The Joe Milton and He is The Kris Lan . You guys are from different fields and you studied in a different country. So how?"

"We were classmates and... kind of best friends back then before I left Country A." Joe replied to her.

Sky nodded at him. Kris pursed his lips and asked Joe, "Are you dating her?"

Sky saw Kris's serious expression which reminded her about how he had laughed at her, "President Lan! How come you are near my office? Don't tell me you are here for lunch. Are you following me because there is no news about me recently?"

Kris expression changed, Sky didn't let him speak, "First time I came out for lunch after a very long time and here you are. I think you know I can sue you for that."

"No, No... I didn't follow you. I had to entertain a guest here." Kris was agitated. He wasn't ready to get negative news about him in the media.

Sky pursed her lips to control her laughter. Joe was confused initially then he understood her. "Little sister, Are you counter-attacking him?"

Sky made a cheeky expression at Joe and looked at Kris. The latter remembered how he had made her fluster last time and after hearing Joe, it confirmed him.

"I never expected I can make calm and collected President Lan to panic." Sky was surprised too.

'Little sister?'

"Sister? So you weren't bluffing when we were kids." Kris spoke to Joe ignoring the previous topic.

"Of course not! She is my cousin. My little sister." Joe proudly introduced. Then asked Sky, "Little sister! How do you know him? You don't meet random people."

Kris gritted his teeth for adding him to the random people list. Sky glanced at Kris whose face was slightly dark, she pursed her lips and briefly explained her encounter with Kris to Joe.

"We met in optimum, he is smart enough to identify me as president even though Dad introduced me as an assistant. Probably he wanted to test the waters and asked me to order a drink for him,... I ordered a glass of water."

Joe pursed his lips to control laughter as he adoringly caressed her hair listening to her.

Sky continued, "...He tortured Dad to get me for dinner and that's how He met me again for dinner with his father and I was with Dad. Oh yeah! The same day I had rejected him for dinner when he asked me but I ended up there." Sky didn't think twice before selling off Kris.

"So Kris Lan is interested in you." Joe bluntly spoke.

Kris was already annoyed, after listening to Joe, he wanted to dig a hole for himself. "Joe!"

Sky furrowed her brows. "After that, I'm seeing him here. It's been nearly a month."

Joe rolled his eyes at him, "I know she wasn't swooning over you hence you were interested. Go and entertain your clients now."

Joe led Sky towards the exit and left the restaurant leaving darkened face Kris inside.

Joe asked curiously after going out, "Little sister, Do you like him? If yes! I can help you out."
