Chapter 338 - Sacrifice for his happiness

Sky saw Jai and Loran greeting David and sitting on a single-seated couch. Seeing David and George sitting on the sofa. She went and snuck between them. "What's cooking between friends?"

George promptly answered Sky, "About your marriage."

Sky shot up from the seat and looked at George, "Dad! Not you. Please."

She saw Jai sitting oblivious of the topic and Loran smiling with an anticipation look for to hear her reasonings.

"Brother Jai is elder than me! I will think once he gets married." Sky said as she pointed at Jai.

Loran thought her reasoning was lame as always whenever the topic of dating, love, and marriage arises.

Jai looked at her in displeasing expression. Sky saw him and crossed her arms by giving him a threatening look indicating, 'Tell me about your girlfriend or else...'

Of course, Jai could understand her easily. He just raised a thumb and left for his room. George and David had started to talk about Jai's wedding too.

Sky turned to them, "If you two are bored, I will arrange something interesting than your boring wedding topic. I'm off." Sky waved and left.

Loran followed behind her, "Sister Sky, What's your plan tomorrow?".

"Sunday! I will wake up late. After that nothing. Any plans?" Sky asked as she yawned.

"I'm going to the studio. Come there when you are free. Now go to bed. Goodnight." Loran saw her tired and pushed her into her room.

"Sweet dreams." Sky replied.

Instead of going to bed, she got fresh and changed before visiting Sam and Clark in the gym. Then she headed to Jai's room.

She saw him reading a book and tiptoed holding her slippers to check if he can still guess her arrival. She had just taken four steps, Jai spoke, "Little sister! Wear your slippers."

Sky sighed and dropped the slippers on the floor and sat on the arm of the armchair and rested her hand on his shoulder. She saw the book which he was reading. "Stock market?"

Jai closed the book and raised his head lightly to see her as he twisted her ear. "Menacing look to me? Huh?"

"Ouch! Brother Jai! It hurts." She released his hand from her ear.

"Okay! okay. Don't give me that look. I will wait for you to tell." Sky sat on the bed and continued, "What will you do if I don't tell you when I get a boyfriend?"

Jai chuckled before responding, "Can you really do that? And stay without telling me?"

"Oh!" Sky thought for a while. It was true, he would be the one she calls up every time. Jai sat next to her and tapped on her shoulder.

"My Little sister! Are you planning to get a boyfriend?" Rather than making fun, he asked curiously.

Sky promptly shook her head. "I can't meet somebody a few times and decide to spend my life with them. I'm not going to leave you all for another family for sure."

Sky turned around to lean on his shoulder to watch the dark sky and stars through the french windows. Jai knew it won't be easy to change her mindset regarding dating and relationships.

After some time, she asked in a soft tone, "Brother Jai! if the girl you love wants to stay with her family, will you go and stay in their house?"

Jai smiled and laid her head on his lap. He started stroking her hair and asked, "If the man you love is willing to stay where ever you want to be, Will you marry him?"

Sky blinked a few times and replied, "But Mom said, if a girl loves her man dearly, she will be willing to sacrifice for his happiness. So what if he wants me to stay with his family and put lots of restrictions on me?"

"In a relationship, if all the sacrifices, feelings and contribution are only from one side, it isn't worth to be called a relationship. If he loves you, he may leave his other important things and be with you. Isn't it?"

Their questionnaire continued a long time till she fell asleep on Jai's lap.

Jai carried her up and went towards her room. Loran who came out with a water bottle saw them and puffed up. "You two again left me."

Jai glared at him and said in low voice, "If she wakes up, I will throw you out."

Loran rolled his eyes and went ahead to open Sky's room door. Jai laid her on the bed and tucked in. After changing room temperature, he left with Loran.

After being able to see her daily, the second day felt too long to spend even after wrapping himself in lots of works.

After pushing his day till evening, he finally called his people, His foul mood and domineering tone sounded awful in his office "Where is she?"

"Miss didn't leave the house from the morning after the jog." The man replied in a respected tone without getting affected by Arlo's mood or tone.

"Be careful!" After pausing, he spoke again. "Send me pictures when you see her." Without waiting for a reply, Arlo hung up and threw his mobile aside...

After some time he heard the beeping sound. He left the file and picked it up. It was a video from the unsaved number. After downloading it, he clicked on it to watch but paused after knowing Ryan standing behind him to see the message.

After keeping the mobile on the table, Arlo cracked the knuckles of both hands. Ryan lightly coughed and ran away picking his files from the table.

Arlo picked his mobile and played the video. Sky exited the main door with Loran holding his arm and laughing. The beads on the Sacramento green dress and her long diamond earrings sparkled under the light. But those looked dull next to her smile.

He was enchanted by her look. Then she effortlessly sat in the red Ferrari and video ended.

Arlo, who was always swift with his decisions, pondered a while and typed a message, "Send the pictures after she reaches the destination." But he deleted before clicking on the send button. He went back to work.

After a very long time he received a call from the same unsaved number, he picked it right away without hesitation. "What's wrong?" Arlo asked in doubt.

"Miss went to the restroom and three women locked the door. We have unlocked it. Should we take action on them?" Man's voice traveled from another end.
