She raised her head aside and saw Kris looking at 30. When he sensed her gaze, he looked at Sky whose hair was in a knot mismatching her outfit.

"I mean, It looks like clouds in the dark Sky . It's beautiful." Kris said as his lips slightly turned up.

Sky nodded as a response. David held her arms, "Go and rest, you can come after all the guest arrives."

Sky smiled and nodded. She hugged him and whispered, "Shall I search a step-mother for me?"

David's face turned dark and pinched her cheeks, "Wretched lass! That's not the way to compliment me."

Sam who read her lips was dumbfounded.

Sky turned to others, "Okay, Guys. get ready and enjoy the party. Andy, please look after here and Arlo, you should rest. Disperse." She saw Arlo still wearing the mask. Hence she told him to rest thinking he must have a viral cold.

Sam escorted her to her room before returning to his room but Sky went to Loran and Jai's room first. She lay on the bed resting her head on headboard looking at her brother getting ready. One was suave while the other one was hot and spunk.

"Sister Sky! Go and get ready." He wanted the trio to enter together but from the looks of it, they couldn't go together.

Jai had ordered juice for her when she entered, which arrived and he handed her before sitting next to her. "Tired?"

Sky drank her orange juice and nodded. "You two go first, I will come later."

He rubbed her head adoringly and agreed, "No problem."

But she dozed off before Jai and Loran could leave. Jai and Loran chuckled looking at her. They didn't want to wake her up but they had to wake her up.

Loran went near her ear and whispered, "Party is over. Goodnight."

Sky hummed and mumbled, "Sweet dreams"

Both Jai and Loran burst into laughter which woke her up instantly. She threw a pillow at them went to her room.

After getting fresh, she tied her long hair in a bun with few strands curled down on her shoulder. She picked the dress which Loran had brought her and matched with silver studded ankle straps and diamond hangings for the ears. Wearing the three-star bracelet on her hand and leaving the single diamond pendant on her neck, she left the room and went upstairs to the banquet hall.

She had taken stairs as it was only a floor. When she reached, Ethan exited the elevator with James and saw her back. He wasn't sure who it was hence he went ahead to look.

He was in his signature white suit looking refined but stood stunned. Sky stopped as he was blocking her path. James reached them and looked at Sky, "Princess is very beautiful."

Sky smiled at James, "And Uncle jeff is handsome as always."

James chuckled and moved towards the banquet hall. She raised her brows at stunned Ethan, "Am I looking so ugly? That you can't find a word to describe Mr.Jeff." Then she moved him aside and walked.

"Sky! Are you really wearing this gown to party?" Ethan followed her leaving space for her gown trail. and asked anxiously.

"Am I looking so bad?" Sky stopped in her tracks and looked at him.

"No. What I..."

Sky cut in, "If you can't see me, it's not my problem." And went in.

She saw David standing on the opposite side of the entrance and walked on her heels. Whoever looked at her couldn't help but look again.

Sky saw Arlo standing near the bar counter using his phone and frowned. She had told him to rest.

When David noticed her, she was under the chandelier walking gracefully with a subtle smile on her face which was directed to him.

Arlo noticed her and dazed. She was wearing a forest green colored off-shoulder dress which had a sweetheart neckline showing her delicate collarbones and flawless fair skin. Her skirt ended above her knee in the front and a foot length of cloth swept the floor. Her slender pearl legs attracted the same attention.

Under the light, a single diamond on her neck sparkled as her eyes captured all the lights in the room. As usual, her skin was free from makeup except for a pink color on her lips. Her curled hair strands contradicted on her skin catching more attention.

Ethan was following her like an abandoned puppy until they reached David. "My lovely daughter is gorgeous."

Since James and Chairman Lan was next to him, he addressed as a daughter. Sky smiled, "Of course, I have to be on par with you, Dad."

Then she greeted Chairman Lan, "Chairman Lan!"

"Good child!" Chairman Lan smiled at her and searched for his son.

She turned around to look for Jai and Loran but noticed Kris coming towards them. Sam, Clark, Peter, Maxwell raised their glass when her eyes fell on them. Sky nodded at them in response.

She excused and moved towards them to ask about Jai and Loran but was stopped by Kris.

"Ms.Sky! You said you will see me later and why are you ignoring me now?"

"Oh!" Sky remembered she said 'see you later' so that she doesn't have to halt on her way. "President Lan! I didn't know you were the one who called me. I was in a hurry. Hope you don't mind."

Kris smiled and thought to himself. 'Probably you are the only girl who could ignore me.'

"You are stunning than the Sky you created." Kris complimented.

"Thank you!" To be polite, she complimented back, "You are handsome as the public says."

He nodded in response. "I will see you later." Sky excused and went towards Sam and others.

Seeing tall four men in a cocktail outfit, she complimented, "Pulchritudinous."

"Tomboy have feminine elegance today." Sam gave his sarcastic remark.

Other four controlled their laughter, Sam continued, "Do you know why Loran said no to this dress when you wanted to wear this to alumni meet?"

Sky raised her brows not understanding it. "Because it's too long?" She pointed at the trail.

Sam shook his head resignedly before he could say anything else, Arlo came and excused them before pulling her outside.

"Arlo! What happened?" Sky thought something must have gone wrong in the rooftop party hall.

Sam and others could only smile looking at the departing figures.
