Chapter 478 - Half-naked

Initially, when Sam furrowed his brows, he thought about the skirt but hearing her laughter he imagined white dress but who was going to tell her that.

He snorted and blended into the crowd knowing she would tease again. He was so swift that Sky couldn't catch up and she didn't see anybody known around her except folks.

She looked around helplessly and decided to go out of the crowd first, Arlo reached her soon, letting her take a breath of relief. He led her out holding her hand.

Since the firelight didn't reach beyond people, she couldn't see any huts from the crowd to walk out in that direction.

Tribal people served dinner early and even slept so early that none of them were even a tiny bit of sleepy. They slept at late.

Morning it was early to dawn when somebody tried to wake her up. "I'm sleepy."

She snuggled in her sleeping bag but they tried again. Thinking she must have overslept, she opened her and let out a shriek scaring the woman who was kneeling to wake her up.

The men who were returning from their morning routine ran over and dashed one by one inside hearing Sky's voice.

Sky bit her lip not knowing what to say to that woman. She got scared looking at her so unconsciously let out a scream. Soon their hut was covered with many people. Arlo who reached first held her as helped her out of the sleeping bag, "Sky! What happened?"

Sam, Joe and the other four stood near scaring the woman. Sky quickly responded and then she wanted to bury herself in the sleeping bag. "I got scared looking at her when I opened my eyes."

That woman wasn't that scary, she just had few piercings on her face with ornaments. They were all scared thinking something happened to Sky but hearing her few burst into laughter and two silently chuckled.

Then Joe's teammate explained that woman and others that Sky was just scared and screamed. Later they explained to Sky that woman came to take her to get fresh in the river and to finish morning routines which they already finished.

Sky was red due to embarrassment and followed a group of women by taking her necessities. Sky remained at the side of the river as she was scared to go in and changed before going back to the hut. Those women communicated with her in actions.

She couldn't understand why they were looking at her every now and then while returning to hut. She checked herself many times if her clothes were correct. Sky was just wearing a simple knitted sweater with jeans and looked nothing special than the previous day.

She dashed inside the hut keeping her towel wrap around her hair to escape from their eyes. The tribal group started to decorate for the festival that they would be doing to show their culture to them.

After morning breakfast which was fruits and raw vegetables, two men handed clothes to Joe saying something. Then they looked at Sky before saying something.

Sky had a basic idea as she had seen Joe's previous projects. They gave those clothes to them for changing and joining the festival. Sky wanted to laugh but when they translated what they said, she wanted to cry.

"They are asking us to change to their traditional clothing and asking young miss to go with those ladies who will help her with the dress."

"Sh*t! Brother Joe, No way, I'm doing this." Sky replied instantly clutching her jacket tight as covering herself.

'Half-naked? No way!' Sky looked at Joe in horror.

Except for folk people, everyone understood but they didn't know what to tell for her actions. 

Arlo who had seen her in bodycon sweater dress could visualize how she would look. Even though he would love to see her in that folk women's dress, his face darkened thinking others would see if she wore such dresses.

Joe coughed lightly and asked his teammate to tell him to refuse on Sky's behalf.

Joe's teammate relayed it to them and relayed back their sentences. "Young miss don't have to wear those type of dress. They have different dresses which she can choose."

"Oh! What if they are ex...I mean similar" Sky asked.

Joe thought for a while before asking, "Little sister! How about you check once? If you aren't comfortable, you can reject it."

Sky gave it a thought and took time before nodding, "You are coming with me to check the dresses."

Joe agreed and went with her to the different big hut. There were three types of dresses in which two dress styles wouldn't cover her waist.

Even though it was common to wear such clothes, Joe knew she wears shorts or off shoulders only. So he told her to try the third one.

It was a chestnut-colored slip dress. The handiwork on that was so exquisite that Sky doubted and looked at Joe, "Brother Joe, they stay in the forest, how can they know such a heavy work and that material can't be found easily. Are they perhaps thieves?"

Joe was speechless knowing how she thinks about everything. He took the time to reply, "Little sister! They aren't, Wear it and come. We will change too."

After assuring her, he left Sky with those ladies. Sky tried a few times with her actions to send those ladies out to change her dress. Since it had laces to tie on her back instead of zipping hence she had to ask help. But they didn't leave her to go.

They put on thin multiple layers of neckpiece, Bands on her arms, few tribal style bracelets, anklet. Another woman combed her hair but Sky didn't know what she was doing as there was no mirror. Then they put on black and golden ornament headgear which matched her dress.

Sky helplessly sat as they didn't understand what she said and she didn't understand what they said. She understood their astonishment or exclamation but not the reasons.

When they tried to touch her face, Sky backed off instantly. Seeing her scared, Woman crushed red colored tiny fruit and put it on her own lips to show Sky.
