Chapter 492 - You are a Vampire(1)

It was a bombshell to Arlo's fragile heart. He glared at her. She was holding her heels and looked at him in horror.

'This dumb woman thought me as gay from day one.' Arlo thought to himself.

"Sky! Let's sit and talk. Come here." Arlo called again patiently.

Sky shook her head frantically, "I would have never allowed you in my room if I knew you are bis..."

Arlo didn't let her finish and grunted "Sky!"

Sky was vexed and saw Arlo again coming around bed near her. She climbed onto the bed.

"Why are you shouting at me? Why did you kiss me on Harley's anniversary? Because of you, I... Never mind, Question is why did you kiss me when you like Ray? Why are you cheating him?"

By the end of her question, Sky was back towards the exit of the room as Arlo had arced the bed twice. He took a deep breath and spoke each word clearly, "Sky! I don't like RAY as you think. We are just like brothers as Jai and Loran. I kissed you because... Didn't kissing you say that I'm not Gay."

He wasn't sure what he said. He saw Sky's expression changing slightly and thought she was trying to understand.

He was about to take breather but Sky spoke to which he chased after her before she could finish, "But how can that prove whether you are straight or gay or... Ahhhhhh."

Sky exited the door immediately screaming. Arlo who took a step out realized he couldn't go out and went to the bathroom for a cold shower. He cursed as much as he could under the shower as he couldn't and didn't want to do anything to Sky.

After realizing he wasn't following her, she put on her heels and went downstairs. Olivia was about to call her, She smiled awkwardly and ran out.

David and Olivia were again puzzled seeing her behaving weirdly.

'What's going on?'  Both had same question.

Sky was pacing under the star lighted tree thinking about Arlo and Ray. She didn't keep track of time. When she received a video call request, she fished out her phone from Jacket and saw ' Brother Jai ' and answered it.

Arlo who came out of the dressing room noticed Sky under the tree. He ignored Olivia and David and went out.

Sky who received the call initially spoke random things of the day and after pondering, she asked, "Brother Jai, Hmmm... if your wife thinks you as..." Sky said in normal tone till that and said rest at a fast pace, "...gay, what will you do?"

Before Jai could react, She heard Arlo's sharp tone. "Sky!"

Arlo really wanted to strangle her. Sam heard her in the Cox family now she indirectly told to Jai.

Sky again screamed and ran towards the other side dropping her phone thinking he might force him on her and she was in no state to tell anybody about it.

He grounded his teeth and picked her phone to see Jai was laughing his heart out. He already heard it from Sam hence he called to check on her if in case Arlo took it to an extreme.

Arlo's ear turned red even though he tried to maintain his cold stance. Jai controlled and spoke, "I didn't know you love my sister so much that you let her off so long. Thankfully we didn't support the wrong man for her."

Arlo didn't know what to reply and Jai hung up without giving him a hard time.

Jai knew Sky very well than herself. If she hears love or anything as such, she would reject mercilessly thinking she couldn't stay with her family.

From her behavior with Arlo, he knew her misunderstanding wasn't clear even after marriage. He thought Arlo would at least tell Sky that he love her and she would understand but that wasn't the case.

He also knew Sky liked Arlo but she always thought him as gay and kept him away as a secretary. He knew she didn't just say yes to marry him just because of Olivia's wish. She wanted to do it for him but she herself couldn't understand how could she like him.

Jai had changed the plans of Arlo. The latter wanted to live separately until Sky accepts him. But Jai was cent percent sure, she would never accept him in that way. After talking with David and Olivia, they brought Arlo to the Harley mansion.

But hiding Arlo's identity was Arlo's request.

Sky entered mansion from the back door of the kitchen and ran upstairs in her heels. Arlo steadily followed her in and again ignored David and Olivia.

He checked their room and didn't find her. When he came out, he saw Sky hiding on the third floor.

When he went there, Sky was at another end of the floor and she changed floors at other stairs. Sky was in dark and Arlo was in open which helped her to escape and time to think.

It followed for a few minutes till Arlo realized she was playing hide and seek, He went into the dark and checked where she would come out.

In the meantime, he opened the app on his mobile which tells her black pendant location. After locating she was going towards her craft room where he didn't have the access, he ran upstairs swiftly and reached before she could step inside.

"Arlo!" Sky shouted but he carried her to their room letting her protest. Sky saw a few maids turning red looking at them, she understood what they were thinking. She wanted to cry but no tears came out but she stopped protesting to avoid attention in her own home.

Seeing her become quiet and chewing her lip, Arlo didn't want her to think anything, "Sky! What are you thinking?"

Sky darted her eyes and asked gingerly, "You will not do anything to me, right?"

He knew well what she would do if he said yes. He told the truth, "No!"

Sky sighed but when he let her down in their room to close the door, she ran away and stood behind the armchair which was taller than her.

Arlo felt like he was playing cat and mouse with her. "I will not do anything. Sky, come out."

Sky didn't respond, Arlo strode towards her. He was already surprised by himself how patient he was with her just so that she shouldn't get scared or start crying.

"Stay there! What do you want to talk about? Tell me from there." Sky said suddenly after realizing she couldn't lock the balcony door from outside.

Arlo didn't stop, when he tried to go around the armchair, Sky ran towards the door. Thinking she would go out again, one leap he held and pinned her on the bed remembering how she played with Barton brothers until they made her sit forcefully.

But coincidentally their lips touched. As soon as his lips touched hers, she widened her eyes and pushed him again to stand up but was pinned down again, "I didn't do on purpose."

Arlo said as he left some space between them and he was planking so that she could be comfortable.

Hearing him Sky pursed her lips and stared at him before asking, "Oh! Was that... kiss in Legacy was also not on purpose?"
