Chapter 534 - Distracted

Sky wanted to tell her analysis to Arlo since it was past she didn't tell him anything on that night. Sky thought Jennifer would leave understanding she didn't want her to be in Harley estate but she was wrong.

Jennifer snorted, "I am his first love."

Sky sat on the bench and started laughing. "Congratulations Ms.Brown for successfully assuming such things for such a long time. If one-night-stands could be first love, there will be no meaning for the word love in this world."

Jennifer's face color changed, "I'm sure he will have the feelings after sleeping with me." She wasn't ready to lose.

"Oh!" Sky nodded in understanding and asked, "Will a drugged person remember what he did in that state?... Anyway! That means you have feelings for the person you first slept with. Was he an old man? or classmate? Don't tell me you drank and slept with a random man?"

Even though Jennifer's expression turned ugly, Sky wasn't sure which hit the nail.

"You! You...."

Sky waited for a few seconds, "Anything else? Miss. Brown"

Hearing nothing Sky left but she heard Jennifer speak provokingly. "What if you are President?"

Sky turned to her whose back was facing her. 'What if I'm a President?' It picked Sky's curiosity as her voice was serious.

"If I act coquettishly with him, I will get him back and YOU! you will lose him." Jennifer turned to Sky who was laughing after she finished.

Sky didn't notice the change in Jennifer's face when she turned around. Sky stopped abruptly as her eyes turned frosty and narrowed at Jennifer before saying, "You can flirt with my man. If he flirts back, he is yours."

She would never lose in a verbal war but Sky froze as soon as she finished. She felt somebody standing right behind her. David and Ryan would never stand so near behind her. She knew who it was but she didn't dare to look at him.

Losing interest to talk, Sky finished her last sentence, "Ms.Brown, I'm not magnanimous to keep a person like you in my estate. Leave before I ask security to throw you out."

Sky went around Arlo and left as she heard Arlo's distant voice, "If you call my grandmother again, you will face the consequences..."

When Sky entered Olivia's room, the latter apologized, "Kid! I'm really sorry. Arlo told me now that Ms.Brown could be the one who drugged him. Since I was the one who sent her to country U, I couldn't give her a cold shoulder. I'm really sorry for allowing her here."

Sky sat next to her, "Grandmother I know you well so there is nothing to apologize. I handled her. So don't worry."

Later Sky and Mia took bath and checked pictures on her mobile.

Arlo knew Sky and Mia were in the lawn. After finishing the work on his laptop, He took a file and went to the balcony. He saw Sky standing with her aloof expression as Jennifer kept her chin high up and was saying something.

He threw the file inside and exited Ryan's room. Instead of going out of the main door which was a long way, he entered Olivia's room and saw Mia and Olivia giggling.

"Grandmother, If Jennifer makes Sky upset, nobody can save her from me. Not even you." He went towards the balcony door when Olivia stopped.

"Wait! Haven't you told Sky about Ms.Brown yet?" Olivia asked suspiciously.

Arlo halted, "I have told her everything. Even though I have no evidence, I am sure Jennifer was the one who drugged me. If I had evidence, she would be in hell by now."

He finished and exited Olivia's room balcony. He heard Sky laughing and Jennifer saw him. He had just reached when he heard, 'You can flirt with my man. If he flirts back, he is yours.'

His expression couldn't be gentle. He clutched his fist to control himself from holding Sky. He understood even though she was angry at him, she never looks down on him in front of the third person.

He saw her leave after finishing what she wanted. He warned Jennifer and asked Security to throw her out despite her tears and sobs.

Instead of asking somebody to drop, they locked gates leaving her alone. Arlo knew no vehicle could enter the regency without owner or owner's permission or permitted vehicles. The cabs weren't allowed hence Jennifer would have to walk an hour on her pointed fifteen-centimeter heels to exit the regency.

Arlo returned to the room and saw Sky and Mia in the balcony before he entered the bathroom to take a bath. When he exited the dressing room even though Sky was in the room because of Mia, he stilled breathed a sigh of relief.

Even though her chuckles and words were not for him, he was content to see her in the room.

Mia who noticed Arlo called him next her to check pictures. He sat next to her and again watched pictures which he had already seen with everyone. After that Sky had to narrate a few activities to Mia as a story and she fell asleep.

Arlo who hadn't slept well from twenty-plus days soon slept. He didn't know whether it was seeing her or due to her voice or her storytelling, he slept peacefully.

Sky wanted to sleep far but Mia had clutched her sheath tightly hence she slept letting Mia sleep in her arms. She didn't take long to sleep as it was her room and she naturally felt warm.

Sky woke up to an alarm sound and changed to a tracksuit. She took sticky notes to leave them near Mia and that's when she saw Arlo's face after so many days. She stood there in a daze until she felt tear rolling down on her cheek.

She saw again when she was leaving notes. Even with dark circles, he was still captivating to the eyes. But Sky's eyes were on the dark eye bags. She almost touched but left the room soon.

'Why am I still caring for the one who hurt me?'

Sky mood wasn't on jog instead she started thinking about his dark circles due to lack of sleep. She didn't even know whether he was eating properly. She also didn't even care about his mood.

She hated herself for caring about him but she hated more for not knowing how he was doing. Seeing her distracted, Jack let her leave soon from the gym.
