Chapter 548 - You are on top

Sky and Jai video called Loran who was in a different city for his new branch. Then the duo talked about Jai's game, his plans, a few things about her college, their coming weekend plan. In the end, they talked about different things as Sky fell asleep.

Jai left her in her room before he went to bed. He had an early morning flight, he left at his time in the car which was arranged by Sky with a few guards.

Sky didn't wake up and didn't leave Arlo either. By the time both went down, it was ten in the morning. Ryan was the first to tease, "We thought, you two won't be coming out of bed."

Even though Olivia didn't really understand what he meant, David understood and laughed with Ryan. Arlo spoke after reaching the dining table, "You asked for it."

Sky waited for the maid to leave before replying, "Even if we wake up early, it isn't like they will think we will do nothing."

Arlo was amused, "So are you suggesting to us to do something?" He chuckled seeing her stuff her mouth and behave like she couldn't respond.

They spent their time in the home with all. After dinner, while sitting in the living area, Sky said their plan on the coming weekend.

"Brother Jai will be back on Friday after his finals on Thursday. He..."

Ryan cut in, "Sky! Aren't you overconfident? He has to win three matches continuously plus one more if required for him to play finals. If he loses, he will have to return."

Sky rolled her sleeves up and charged at him, "Grandmother, forget your another grandson. How dare he say 'If my brother loses'. Ray! you are dead meat today."

Sky chased him for a long time until Arlo was tired of seeing them run around and carried her back to the couch. Once Ray saw her sit, he sat back breathing heavily.

"Lass, what were you telling?" David asked after passing her water to drink.

"Brother Jai will return to town A on Friday morning. I will leave on Friday evening after work as I have to attend the reunion on Saturday because Principal tortured Brother Jai with my name. Sunday, Sister-in-law's family is visiting the Barton family and they may decide on engagement ceremony before sister-in-law leaves for her base camp. So you guys have the freedom to choose whether to come or not."

Arlo was first to react, "I will come with you."

Sky nodded and made a funny remark, "If not, I will tie you up and throw in the car trunk as Grandfather wants to see you."

Ryan burst into laughter, "I would love to see that."

Arlo rubbed her head and stayed quiet. Olivia spoke, "I will come with the Moore family on Sunday."

"I will come with grandmother." Ryan spoke and all turned to David.

David looked at Arlo and said in a grave tone, "Arlo, I hope you can appease Old master Barton. He is a tough nut and he adores and dotes on Sky more than anybody. I'm already getting goosebumps thinking about him."

Arlo had just heard about Sky had a grandfather who was George's father. He stays in his manor with a maid. He didn't like anybody visiting him other than Sky but the latter respected his privacy and the last time she met was before coming to the capital to work in the Harley.

She would only write letters to him if anything major things occur and her last letter were about Arlo marrying her in the marriage bureau because of Olivia.

"But according to what Sky said about grandfather, he is a very amiable and kind person." Arlo said not understanding why David made it sound so serious.

Smart one spoke, "Sky even says you as the kind, gentle and loving person. But everyone says Demon."

"Grandfather is really very good. Dad is exaggerating. And who everyone says Arlo as Demon except you and me? He doesn't talk much that's it." Sky defended both.

David laughed for defending grandfather, other two laughed for defending Arlo. The latter was happy hearing her defend about him.

David stopped laughing, "I will come on Sunday morning, I don't want to see your grandfather alone."

Sky laughed, "Dad! Don't worry he will not scold you. I already told him how much I torture and how you spoil me so he will be happy with that."

Sky clearly remembers how grandfather screwed David before she came to Capital. But it was only to scare him so that he looks after Sky well.

"No thanks!" David waved his hand and left for his room.

Sky asked about Samara's parents. Whatever she heard, Sky understood Samara's mother had a loose tongue and the rest were very manageable.

"I'm sorry that I asked about all these. Grandfather is a little too strict and catches lies easily. So I hope there will be no complications if he stays on Sunday but it is not confirmed yet. His visit is mainly because of Arlo."

"It's alright, child! I understand." Olivia said and got up to go to her room. Sky and Arlo helped her and Ryan went back to his room.

Ryan used to go to Olivia's room to talk daily when they were in Smith Mansion. But after coming to the Harley mansion, he loved to talk with everyone daily before going to sleep. He was very content hearing them sharing, they hear him share and all laugh together made him enjoy everyday irrespective workload.

Hearing Sky and Olivia going on with reviewing of the book they had read together, Arlo asked Olivia to sleep, "Darling! You should sleep. I'm taking my wife."

Before two could react, Arlo carried Sky out of Olivia's room. Sky heard Olivia chuckling and covered her face. "Is it fun for you to give them the wrong idea all the time?"

Arlo repeated her line in teasing tone, "Even If I let you walk, it isn't like they will think we will do nothing."

Sky tried to look calm and repeated his sentence smoothly, "Oh are you suggesting me to do something to you?"

Arlo paused and looked at her without thinking anything to know how she would react. Not understanding his expression, Sky smiled awkwardly, "I just repeated your sentence. Hehehe."

Arlo pursed his lips and pushed the door as he said, "Cool! You are on top."
