Chapter 557 - I'm very filial

Arlo had picked her a wine-colored, halter neck, A-line short dress. Arlo curled her hair when Sky colored her lips, wore her earrings and heels.

"Sky! Have you ever applied makeup? Why don't you know it?" Arlo asked as he continued to curl.

"For Prom, One of my classmates applied." Sky remembered and replied. "You know, there are many things in that and many-colored powders. It's just a headache to learn and I'm too lazy for that. Lipstick is enough."

'Lazybones!' Arlo thought to himself and completed curling. Sky wanted to put them as a messy bun but Arlo insisted to leave them free.

"But it's easier to maintain a bun than free hair."

If she ties her hair into a bun, her neck and shoulder would be exposed with her flawless back. He clearly picked a simple dress but it still looked exceptional on her.

"Why do you carry off the simplest dress so well? I don't want to send you anywhere now." Arlo voiced his thought.

Sky who was holding her hair up paused and saw his reflection in the mirror before leaving her hair down and even kept a few curled strands on her shoulder.

"Now?" Excluding her legs and hands, everything was covered.

Arlo smiled resignedly and took her downstairs. After bidding everyone she was about to leave, Old master stopped, "Doll! Why are you going alone? Take one Useless in them."

George joined in, "Right! It's a reunion. Many will bring a partner. And you don't talk much with your classmates. What will you do if your seniors come with somebody?"

Arlo who looked uninterested suddenly became all ears hearing 'Seniors'.

Georgia joined in after two men. Sky agreed but she couldn't just call one. "How about I take three?"

Jai and Loran almost laughed hearing her. Former spoke, "We two are going to the guest house to check arrangement for tomorrow. Take your Pretty faced husband."

'Pretty-faced? Can you not copy me and Grampy?' Sky thought to herself and looked at Arlo.

"Go! Get ready!" Sky finished and Arlo who was internally happy left the living hall but Sky stopped.

"Arlo! Don't wear a suit or formals." Sky said loudly. After a pause, she again spoke, "Wear semi-formals or casuals. If you don't have, we will go shopping."

Arlo pursed his lips to control his smile and left. But others burst into laughter including Old master Barton knowing she wanted Arlo to look simple.

He looked magnificent in every type of clothes. But he was irresistible in formals and groomed hair. Sky covered her face and sat silently hearing them tease.

Arlo returned wearing a cuffed white shirt, jeans and shoes. It was a very simple outfit but he still looked dashing. "Problems of having Pretty faced Husband."

It was late by the time she realized that she voiced her thoughts. But she added one more line quickly, "Brother Jai! Pick me up if anybody takes him away. See you all for dinner."

Wiping her imaginary tears in mind, Sky left with Arlo. Five members who were sitting in the living hall had one thought looking at the couple, 'They complement each other.'

After some time, Jai and Loran went to the Guesthouse to check if cleaning and other arrangements were done properly.

"I think I shouldn't take you to the reunion. Rest in the car or Shall I book a ticket for a movie? You can watch it and pick me after it. What's say?"

Without giving him time to respond, Sky spoke again, "No! Don't go alone. I will give you the address of the guesthouse, you can go there and help Brother Jai and Loran or you can rest there. What do you think?"

She attracts quite an attention. Going with Arlo would result in everyone looking at them and asking hundreds of questions. She could ignore some but she had to reply for a few. She was a cent percent sure Arlo would be the focal point of many people and she can't hide him either.

Arlo knew well about what she was thinking but he behaved like obedient grand-son-in-law and son-in-law. "Are you expecting me to cheat Grandfather, Mom, and Dad? I'm very filial."

Sky pouted and started to think of another plan. After a long time, she spoke, "Wear a mask."

Arlo pursed his lips forming a thin line. After knowing he could speak without laughing out loud, he spoke. "Sky! Don't worry, I will not let others kidnap me. And haven't you said, 'Others can only see me and you are the one who has me.'"

Sky knew that and she rolled her eyes. "All will think I got a great catch. Whereas you were the one who forc..." Sky paused and didn't continue it. "If you get out of my sight, I will... I will..."

'Forced you to marry.' Arlo completed in mind what she didn't complete. Hearing her next words, he cut in, "If YOU get out of my sight, I will kidnap you."

'Who kidnaps their own wife? Seriously?' Sky gave him thumbs up.

Soon they reached her college. It wasn't like her school, Many high profile people from different cities had studied in that college hence her Aston Martin didn't attract much attention till Arlo got down and opened the door for Sky.

Sky who surveyed outside saw many gasping when Arlo got off elegantly. She got down and walked towards the entrance of the hall with Arlo in her cold and distant mode.

"When will I get a tour around your college?" Arlo asked. His voice was gentle but he was expressionless as he walked with her.

"It's not even ten percent of your college. You will get bored." Her college was nothing in front of University S.

Arlo intertwined his hand with her. "It's your college. You studied here, So of course, I would love to checkout."

Before she could respond, she heard a female voice calling her, "Sky!" Sky turned to the source and gave a faint smile, "Senior Lara!"

Both gave a friendly hug before Lara held Sky's hands, "It's such a long time. Why didn't you attend the previous reunion and Alumni meets? Did you really went aboard to work?"

Sky smiled hearing her excited tone before responding. "No! I stay in Capital, I didn't go anywhere."

Lara introduced her husband to Sky and her few classmates greeted Sky but she didn't know their names hence she called everyone as Senior.
