Chapter 576 - President Smith washing a girl's feet

"Sky! Will you please stop calling me that?" Arlo's tone was more like pleading. 'President Smith' from Sky sounded more like a taunt than addressing him.

Sky hadn't changed her heels hence she removed and walked barefooted in the lawn. "Fine! Leave now, I don't want to talk to you."

She circled her vast lawn twice just by saying 'I don't want to talk to you' for whatever he said until she heard him say, "I will leave Sigma to Ryan."

Sky paused and turned to him, "Oh! Then when you get something more important than me, will you leave me to somebody else?"

Arlo furrowed his brows. Seeing her walk again, he held her hand and pulled her in front of him. "That will never happen."

Sky swung her hand down to release from his grip. "I know that." She pushed him away, "Leave me alone. I want peace of mind. Leave."

Arlo paused seeing her going towards lawn bench to sit. He was really scared of losing her seeing her frustrated. He wasn't sure how long he stood but he didn't move.

Jai went towards Sky who was leaving to avoid him.

Jai pulled her back to sit hearing her, "Brother Jai! Don't you know how much I detest rich? Why did you allow him? How can you keep me in the dark? Why... were you guys deceiving me?"

At last, Sky choked on her words. Jai rubbed her back, wiping her cheeks, "Shhhh..."

Jai gave a break and spoke, "Little Sister, you wouldn't have allowed him to stay by you if you knew his identity. Am I right?"

Sky pursed her lips without an answer. Jai continued, "You want somebody to stay by you for what you are but not because you are Harley. Why can't Arlo wish the same?"

Jai saw her understanding and he continued, "We wanted a man for you who could love you unconditionally. Arlo was the one. He proceeded after asking us. If he wanted he could have forced us but he didn't. So we supported him for YOU. "

She wanted him to be her secretary but she also didn't want him to leave Sigma where he had worked hard for it. But Sigma and Harley were at different ends of the city. He couldn't sit with her in Harley just because she wanted him to do so.

He joined Harley for her, now he has her. What was the point in ignoring Sigma just because she wants to see him around her like always?

Sky held her head in annoyance due to her own contradictory thoughts.

Jai who had called Arlo near reached her before leaving them alone. Sky growled at him, "When you can't be my secretary why did you tell me you will be my secretary to stay beside me? Isn't that lie a now?"

"Now you have told me about your identity, you will go back to your office. Who will cook for me? Who will eat lunch with me?"

"From tomorrow, I will see you only morning and evening just like every other couple. Great!"

"No! It's from today. Get lost now. It's your working time."

Sky turned to leave but Arlo held her back and asked in amaze. "Were you worried about these?"

"Then what? Do you think I care about your buoyant money? You are still alive because your name is still Arlo. if it was like Ray Ryan, I would have killed you by now." Sky glared at him.

Arlo's lips tilted up before he pulled her to kiss. Ryan who was worried wanted to check on them and saw Arlo pulling Sky to his arms.

'Handsome Demon, Do you think every place is your bedroom?' He immediately turned around and left.

Sky pushed Arlo before he could do anything. "Do you still know where we are standing?"

'Holy! I'm dying in frustration. Here he goes.' Sky cried inside.

He kissed her forehead and was hugging her when Sky threatened, "Let me keep this straight, you may be President Smith of your Sigma or anybody else but not at home or for me. If you try to control at home, I will chop you into pieces."

Arlo chuckled and hugged her tight. Sky who had given a lot of work to the brain started to relax in his arms hearing his heartbeats.

Olivia, David and the Barton parents who were worried saw them from Olivia's room balcony and breathed a sigh of relief.

Arlo released after knowing her raised heartbeat rates were back to normal. Instead of letting her walk barefooted, he carried her to Olivia's room through the balcony.

Sky started her questionaries from the time they left lawn. "You always have security then how come you got stuck in the mall alone?"

Arlo was always patient towards her so he answered every question. "I was tired of the conference and wanted to be alone."

"Oh! You liked me and got to know my identity. So what if I was a gold digger?"

"That would have made my work easier instead of hiding my identity." Arlo responded and entered Olivia's room where all elders were sitting.

Nobody dared to speak, Sky didn't know what to say. Arlo took her to the bathroom to wash her feet. Sky retracted her legs, "I will do it."

Arlo didn't give her chance and kneeled on the floor before washing.

"How about tomorrow's headlines as President Smith washing a girl's feet? The business circle will go frenzy."

Arlo glanced at her before taking an absorbent towel. "President Smith washing his wife's feet. Or how about 'President Smith washing his wife, President Harley's feet'?"

Sky bit her lip thinking how to tell him that she didn't want their relationship status to go public, Arlo spoke as he carried her out. "We will not go public. I know you don't want anybody to work with you because you are the wife of President Smith."

Sky nodded slightly as she sat beside Olivia. Arlo exited the room to get her home slippers. "Grandmother! You are the legendary Chairwoman Smith. Aren't you guys too good to me when your image to the public is very opposite to it?"

Olivia chuckled with others and rubbed her head dotingly. Sky turned to David and George before nestling with Georgia. "Mom! Your daughter has terrific identities."

George spoke, "Sky Barton; Best in everything she does." The identity which Sky likes and uses to all.

David continued, "Sky Harley; Heiress, CEO, and President of Harley corporation."

Olivia added, "Mrs. Arlo Smith, Madam President of Sigma industries."

At last, Georgia spoke, "You are my darling daughter."

Sky only responded to Georgia, "Cent percent. By the way who were they talking about? I don't know them." Georgia was elated while others were laughing.

All spoke for some time and had lunch. Sam left after lunch.

Sky had continued to ask her questions to Arlo which he was answering patiently. From the incident with Hummer to the villa where Jai and Samara had an engagement ceremony.

It continued even after dinner until she dozed off on Jai's lap in the living room.

"Brother Arlo! You haven't spoken to me so much in these sixteen years... 5840 plus 4 leap year days... 5844 days. It's not even five hundred days with Sky." Ryan complained after seeing Arlo responding and explaining everything to Sky.

Sky had tortured Ryan to call 'Brother Arlo' to Arlo hence he was back again addressing him properly.

Arlo carried Sky and paused at Ryan, "Sky is My wife."

What he meant was, you are not my wife. So keep your mouth shut as it won't depend on the number of days.

All chuckled silently before everyone dispersed to their bedrooms.
