Sky instinctively flung her hand as she stood up. Her hand slapped President Wright and he lost balance before falling down.
It happened so fast that nobody could react. Nobody expected President Wright who was sitting motionlessly to attack Sky.
Thanks to her fast reflexes, Sam breathed a sigh and checked her backhand which was red. He shielded her when Norvin charged towards them.
"You woman, don't you know to respect elders? He is at your fath..."
"Cut the cackle... Captain. Leave. Now." Sky commanded.
Norvin could only grind his teeth looking at cops taking his father who was yelling at top of his lungs.
Sky turned to Liam, "Thank you so much. I will take care of the rest. Visit home when Dad comes back."
Liam nodded and looked at Sam who spoke, "I will take care of her."
Fuming Norvin, the six, Sky were left in the dining hall excluding maids and others here and there.
Sky snapped her fingers to get Norvin's attention from the door to her. "Do you know why I called you a Cleaner?"
Norvin couldn't keep eye contact and moved his eyes away.
Sky furrowed her brows. "Sam, could he be an instigator and his father carried it out? He isn't daring to look me in the eye."
"Can!" Sam responded but he knew why he couldn't face her.
Norvin clenched his fists. He wanted to ask 'is there a chance to resolve without police?' but Sky got up and sat right in front of him when he sat down.
"I will take the case back..."
"Money?" Norvin smirked.
"...I want Mr.Roger's life back."
Norvin who thought Sky was the same as another woman for a second, couldn't see her in the eye again.
"If money was everything, You would be the happiest man instead drowning alcohol every night. You wouldn't be hating every woman after your first love went behind somebody else for money. If you are thinking that sleeping with your flings daily can get you happiness, you will never find one. I know to respect the elders but not the criminals. Even if my dad takes the wrong path, I have the guts to stop before he takes it instead of cleaning up in the fear of getting caught."
Sky saw him stealing glances at her instead of looking at her straight. He was giving blank expression as he was in deep thought. She furrowed her brows and continued.
"Money. Money. Money? Do I look like your dirty flings to run behind the money? Fine, how much do you have? Let's sum up. What is the price of life according to you?... How much are you willing to pay a son who lost his father at a tender age?... What about the cost of a wife's love?... Speak!"
Sky crashed the plate as she stood up. She was cold and ruthless with her words to which he had no answer.
"Try all you can. I will see how you will save your father."
Sky who turned around to leave paused and faced him again, "Let me enlighten you a simple definition of happiness. If you have even one genuine person to tell about how your day was. Trust me, you will know the meaning of Happiness when you remember your current lonely life in the crowd."
"Guess what? I have many such people who stand by me all the time. Whereas you!..."
Sky didn't continue and turned towards six men who were admiring her and she broke into a smile. Norvin didn't miss that. That smile never once came for him.
"Let's go!" Sky said and walked towards the exit.
Sam rubbed her head and walked next to her as Ryan was dying to speak. But they paused when Norvin spoke who was the silent mode the whole time.
"President Harley, I like you."
When men chuckled, Sky broke into a beautiful smile and turned to him. "What a coincidence!"
She took steps towards Norvin. Whereas five behind her was confused and one was damn curious.
"We have great taste." Sky again spoke excitedly.
Norvin had blurted out that he likes her after hearing her say about the definition of her happiness. He thought she would laugh at him and leave, Seeing her stand in front of him at quite a distance, he gingerly asked.
"Do you... like me?"
Ryan wanted to strangle him but Sam stopped. Others were confused as hell.
Sky nonchalantly replied, "No! I like myself. We have a fantabulous taste."
The six men behind her burst into laughter as Sky rolled her eyes and left. She thought he said so that she falls for him and take back the case.
Norvin took the time to understand what just happened and saw her giggling happily with others as she walked out.
He saw somebody opening the car door for her and helped her sit before they dispersed and left. He saw the full entourage through the window as they left his home.
He really wished one to be next to her but he also knew it wouldn't happen.
He knew well there was no way out for his father. Monday was court trial and he was arrested on a nonbailable warrant.
He called his advocate who just bluffed and left.
His assistant spoke about problems that started at the company. He shut him up and sent off before going to his bar in the house.
He had drowned a few glasses but broke the glass soon. He was blank. He didn't know what to do. It might be about his life or to his father.
He regretted not stopping his father. He regretted not cleaning up properly.
He had threatened successfully to keep President Tan and President Derek's mouth shut. But he never thought President Tan would keep the proof which police got to their hands.
He never attacked anyone and he never left anyone who attacked him. But his father chose the wrong person to attack who was a vengeful woman which complete business industry would be aware of soon.
He had remembered Sky numerous times every day, every night but the impression he gave to her was a person cleaning up his father's mess.
A Cleaner
She was the only person he liked after thirteen years. He hated his mother, he hated everyone around him. He was detached from the world because of his first love.
He understood Sky had basic information about him when she reprimanded.
It was true he never had a genuine person next to him.
Friends? They were with him as he always pays for their expenses.
Father? He only cared about status and money.
He never cared about relatives and had nobody close to them.
A lonely man in the crowd.
He wanted to hate Sky but he still remembered her smile before dozing off on the chair.
