Sky who was holding Arlo jacket tightly loosened her grip and pushed him lightly before running towards Jai's room saying, "Satellite calls"
Both followed her and saw her taking a book that had a bookmark in the middle. She back checked to see the trace of writing on the paper.
The duo stood behind her not knowing what she was doing checking hundreds of papers. They only reacted when she held her head in frustration. She had seen Jai writing a string of letters when he was getting a call from a long string of numbers.
"Sky!" Arlo held her but Sky shot up and ran upstairs.
Sam and Arlo followed her and saw her entering the second attic room which had the trio childhood memories. Sky stood in between and stationed. Sam gingerly asked, "Should we check here for anything?"
"No! Don't touch anything." Sky raised her hand and stopped two from touching anything.
She went near the toys filled boxes and removed one after the other box and found a picturesque card that had fallen out of the box. She handed the rain pictured card to Sam who was standing nearby.
She checked another box and found the Words Scribble box. She saw a string of letters placed on the board instead of the letters box.
Arlo saw it, "A D Y I R... What does that mean?"
Sky took them played around and got a word. Sam and Arlo said in unison, "DIARY'
Sky gave some thought and went towards an old suitcase. She quickly set the password and opened it. She found a handmade small diary that she had presented Jai. She opened the last written page.
Sam saw and spoke "X D U F L E... What does that mean?"
Sky took a deep breath and kept the book in the suitcase before locking back as she responded. "I have to the decoded format. Rain is the decrypting code."
Sam and Arlo followed Sky to her room when she ran downstairs. Sky sat down on her study chair and wrote the X D U F L E on the paper. Sam and Arlo saw her starting to scribble continuously.
Sam wasn't sure what she was doing but he started to decode in his laptop and Arlo started to decode taking few papers. Sky didn't notice them and continued her work.
Sky started filling up papers after paper as she continued. Fifteen minutes and she still continued. Sam distracted from the laptop and asked, "Sky! Are you sure? I tested fifteen methods and didn't get any proper clue."
Sky didn't respond and continued. Arlo stopped after twenty minutes and spoke, "Sky!" He found nothing either.
She didn't respond and stood up holding the paper. She was pacing when Arlo and Sam checked the decoding tree which was too complex. It confused them and couldn't trace it due to confusion and many shortcuts in it. "Sky! What..."
"SKY... Exactly Sky!" Sky patted Arlo and sat down on her chair again to decode with 'SKY'. Arlo and Sam didn't understand anything what she said and what she was scribbling.
After another ten minutes, Sky wrote Six letters. 'C A R S O L.'
Sam and Arlo spoke in unison, "The Carsol rainforest?"
Sky nodded, "We have to check there. Let's leave." Sam pulled her back. "Are you sure? Which method did you use?"
Sky remembered about the papers she decoded and burnt them faster as she responded, "Brother Jai had taught me once."
They didn't push her to ask about the technique as they understood it was a unique method. Sam and Arlo followed her but Sky stopped and turned to Arlo, "We three can't check complete forest. What to do?"
Both wanted to stop her from going to the forest but they also knew she wouldn't stay at home. Arlo calmly replied, "I will ask my team to be there with all necessity supply. Don't worry. But... Sky! Do you have to go?"
Sky knew she would die of anxiety if she didn't go. She nodded, "I will not be able to stay and wait."
Arlo knew that. He rubbed her head and the trio was exiting when Sky rooted, "Arlo, you didn't tell me about Loran."
Arlo didn't face her and lied so that she shouldn't worry about two brothers, "He is fine. Let's go."
Sky dialed Loran's number as she walked out. Sam stopped her and nodded at Arlo because he knew if Sky gets to know later, she would stop trusting whenever she gives him such work.
Arlo held her arms and spoke with lots of difficulties. By that time Sky understood there was something wrong. "Loran was in the studio when local gangsters forced his employees to service them for free. When Loran tried to stop and speak up, he... he..."
"He what?" Sky started to feel like her heartbeats were going to stop from the time she heard local gangsters, her tears started to flow without control.
"Those people beat him and sustained some injuries." Sam said trying to sound light.
"Elaborate the injuries." Her tone was icy cold and she knew it wasn't as simple as it sounded.
"He... He got stabbed on his stomach and is being operated in Sigma's subsidiary hospital." Arlo finished and held on to Sky scaring she couldn't take it.
Sky clenched her teeth hard and wiped her tears. One thing was on her mind that she shouldn't break down. She wanted to be beside Loran and also she wanted to search Jai. She couldn't leave anyone. She bit her lip hard to stop her from crying.
"Arrange a jet in City M. Let's go there first before going to City G to the forest. Ask your team to start searching before us." Her unemotional voice sounded.
Sam patted on Sky and moved aside to ask Jimmy, Clark, and Maxwell to take Harley helicopter to city M and check the status.
Sky didn't let Arlo say anything and took him out towards the car. The trio soon reached the helipad. Arlo arranged everything over a phone call as he held on to Sky's hand who looked blankly outside for a long time before calling David.
"Dad! Loran is hospitalized and I don't know when I will come. Please take care of the company."
Arlo and Sam didn't hear what David told her, they only saw Sky trying hard to control herself. "I will tell you some other time. Arlo and Sam are with me. Don't worry."
She hung up and sucked a deep breath. They alighted from the car and left towards City M. Arlo tried to make her feel at ease but it didn't help, "Stop worrying about me."
In two hours, they reached the hospital. Sky ran downstairs as she heard Arlo's people saying that the operation was a success. Loran was shifted to ICU and he was still unconscious. He would be shifted to Capital's Sigma hospital soon by air.
Sky saw Loran laying on the bed looking deathly pale connecting many wires to him. She felt suffocated looking at him like that. Tears rolled down continuously holding his cold hand. She heard Doctor blabber the same things which guard said.
"I need paper and a pen." Her voice was too feeble. Sam pulled out the medical chart and handed her flipping it back.
'Dumbo! I will be back soon. I'm sorry I can't be next to you when you wake up. Recover soon.' She wrote in her trembling hand.
