Chapter 688 - Slowly perishing(4)

Arlo raised and cupped her face after a few seconds to make her face him, "Breathe in... Breathe out... Good. Don't worry we can't do much in this car."

He purposefully paused and saw her relaxing. Before she could speak, Arlo continued,  "We will do it in an XUV. You will be comfortable in that."

Sky grounded her teeth and pinched his waist hard. "No more date. I'm going home. Hmph."

Arlo teased seeing her flush again, "Honey! We have two or three XUV in the parking garage. You don't have to wait so long to reach home and choose the car. You can pick one here."

Sky covered his playful eyes and whined, "Arlo! I didn't mean that."

Seeing him chuckle, she covered his lips by the other hand. "Alight from the car and go. I'm not coming with you anymore."

Arlo decided not to vex her. He wanted to move her to the driver seat but he didn't and wished to see her reaction when she sees what she had done parking the car in the one way.

"Okay, I'll stop." He adjusted his seat first and tidied her hair and dress quickly before opening the door.

"Let's go. There will be too much traffic." He sounded serious.

Sky got down and closed the door but shocked to see lined up cars behind their car.

She could see nearly twenty+ cars including cabs till the turn. Since Sigma guards stood behind their car, none dared to honk or create a nuisance.

'Sky! When did you become so shameless and... troublesome to the public?' Sky wept mentally.

Arlo rolled down the window controlling his smile. "My love! How long are you planning to stand there?"

She came out of her daze. She pouted looking at him and ran around the car. She snuck in and left soon before breathing a sigh of relief.

Arlo chuckled looking at her and pressed his lips hard on her cheek making her slam on the brake.

"Oh Good Lord! I can talk and drive only. I'm not invulnerable like you. I don't want to ram into anyone... Holy highness! Tell me, I did wrong fulfilling his wish."

Arlo laughed his heart out looking at her animated expression. He had missed their funny interaction too much.

Sky drove in the flushed face as one hand was on the steering wheel and another hand covering her half face to stop him from trying to kiss her...

Brian's mouth was wide open even after Sky left from Sigma premises.

He wanted to talk to her and was going towards her when her smile caused him to lose track. Her skin was bright and glowy. Her eyes formed like two crescent moon as her lips arced up attractively.

He always saw her poker face. He then saw her opening the car door which made him come out of his daze.

Arlo's back was facing him and he didn't know who she was with until Arlo sat inside and said something to Sky.

He wanted to think Sky as President Smith's driver or secretary but seeing her blush, he doubted.

All moved without halting but his eyes were still on the car when she stopped the car abruptly. He didn't move even after ten minutes and saw Sky alighting from the shotgun.

He had clearly seen her taking the driving seat, Why did she move to a different seat Where President Smith is sitting? 

Then he again saw Sky taking the driver seat and driving off. He still couldn't process anything and decided himself as she must be somebody else.

Arlo didn't continue to tease her and spoke normally. Sky drove to the largest mall in the city which was under the Sigma industries. 

"Candy floss! Shouldn't you take me to some romantic place for dinner?"

Arlo asked entering the mall. Sky grinned before explaining melodiously, "Actually, I thought to book the complete rotating restaurant for us with great music, decoration, tasty food. You in the dinner suit, I'll be in the evening gown. We would eat, drink, dance and talk a lot. Everything looked picture perfect in my imagination..."

Arlo also imagined hearing her bewitching tone and he liked it.

She continued but her tone changed and finished everything at a fast pace, "Then you kissed me in the imagination and I ended the idea."

Arlo wasn't sure whether he should laugh or not. He stopped her pulling her back to him, "You canceled it because of the Kiss? Or is it because you are unromantic?"

Sky pouted. "For your kind information, If you are calling me unromantic by thinking about yourself as romantic, I'm sorry to say, you aren't romantic. You are just a dirty shameless man."

Arlo changed the subject, "So all in all, you are missing me... inside."

Sky facepalmed herself and took him to the rooftop restaurant. Sky glared at him, "You just stand here, I'll have dinner."

Arlo looked at the arrangements. A complete roof restaurant was reserved for them. It was a romantic candlelight dinner decorated with clear tiny lights, warm light of candles, white lilies and complete white decor with a big bouquet of red roses for him.

Against the dark surroundings, it looked peaceful and serene. 

Sky turned to him standing in front of it making his heart skip a beat.

For him, nothing looked better than his wife.

Sky thought otherwise seeing his blank face, "If you don't like it, we can go somewhere else."

Sky never considered herself as romantic. She liked her craziness. Since Arlo likes it that way, she did it for him in the past and always.

Whereas Arlo considered her liking whenever he arranged so there were very few romantic dinner dates and more of spending time in nature or playing and learning new things.

Both of their intentions would be spending time with each other.

Hearing her, he went ahead and pecked on her lips. "Was the kiss present in your imagination for this place too?" 

Sky understood he liked the arrangements. She made him sit on the chair first "It was like this..." It wasn't long but Sky bit his tongue multiple times before leaving him...

Both enjoyed their dinner without anybody disturbing them as asked by Sky.

Later both were dancing for soft music as they enjoyed each other's company quietly when the first snowfall of the year started which felt like a surprise for both that gave a perfect touch to their date.

Arlo pulled her close to kiss as Sky melted in his arms faster than the snow...

His smile and gaze couldn't be more tender seeing her snuggle in his embrace feeling warm.

Since the weather temperature started decreasing due to snowfall, he was concerned, "Let's get in. You will get cold."

Sky shook her head in his embrace and pointed towards the couch which had chunky rugs. It was under the roof in front of a large screen. Arlo had seen it but he didn't think it was in her plan.

"Let's go." He carried her easily and made her sit. He covered her with a rug and sat next to her.

Sky warned before turning on the projector with a remote which was on the side table.

"You might feel cheesy watching the video. You can stop the video if it's too much or watch it. If you laugh, I'll beat you up."

Sky connected her mobile and played the video before nestling to him. Arlo was very curious to watch after hearing her. He wrapped his hands around her and watched the video which Sky had prepared for him.

"Our story! Isn't the title make it sound like we are an old couple? We still cuddle like we are newly married and I love every bit of it. So I will call it A Fairytale... Why? I will answer..."
