Chapter 691 - Slowly perishing(1)

"Okay! Faceoff your brother first. Let's see who is stronger." Loran told to Ryan.

Ryan grinned sheepishly, "Win or lose doesn't matter against him as Sky will beat me up. And if Sky strains her limbs, you three will beat me up again. In the end, I'll be at a disadvantage... Unlucky me!"

All burst into laughter hearing him. Ryan internally sighed seeing their serious faces back to normal. "Hey! Why are you all laughing at me? What I told is the fact okay!"

"Pretty Ryan, you are so cute." Sky said in her hoarse voice pinching his cheeks.

Ryan followed the same, "You are a white and red panda."

All chuckled hearing him.

Arlo brought a warm towel and wiped her face as they sat on the bed and talked...

Ryan asked his long term doubt finally, "Sky, why do you have such a huge bed when you are so tiny?"

Loran took a pillow and threw at him, "To accommodate more pillows to have a pillow fight."

In the blink of an eye, both started throwing pillow as they ran around in the room. When the pillow hit Sky, the trio attacked the duo leaving them to scream.

David and George who heard them ran over to check and saw the complete room was a mess as two screamed and the other three were laughing.

A month plus, complete home, and everyone were gloomy with faint smiles so that not to worry others. Now seeing it back to life, they didn't want anything other than seeing them safe and sound.

The older duo didn't disturb them and left for their rooms ordering maids to leave.

The trio whose aiming skills were sharp won against the duo.

Ryan and Loran collapsed on the bed, others sat down leaning on the headrest. Loran crawled up and laid his head on Sky's lap as he responded to Ryan's question.

"Sister Sky's bed is large because even if we all lay on it, it shouldn't make us feel insufficient and these colors and lots of pillows will give us cozy space."

Sky smiled as her hand played with his hair, Ryan analyzed, "So Sky's room is a complete family room."

They continued to talk as Loran and Ryan dozed off first. Arlo brought different blankets for them before laying next to Sky at the end of the bed. Jai laid down on another end under Sky's gaze.

Sky cozied up to Arlo under their blanket before falling asleep.

She used to think only Jai and Loran would be her bottom line. Eventually, two more made their spaces in her life.

--

Early morning, Arlo woke up Sky who had snuggled up to him in her sleep. Jai and Ryan woke up later and all hit the gym.

Sky took Loran and Jai to Sigma. Jai just wore his sunglasses for a disguise while entering.

When five entered, they were a sight to watch, all were dazed thinking whether they were watching a movie or their President sharing his limelight with others.

Sky was in the center in her knitted sweatshirt, ripped Jean and shoes. To her left, two were in a slim fit business suit. To her right, one was in semi-formal and the other one was spunky looking out of place like Sky.

Five were silent until they entered the elevator.

Loran who had just heard about Arlo's entry experienced it live and spoke giving thumbs up, "Brother-in-law, You surely know how to live a life making others shiver in their places."

The secretaries hadn't seen Sky for a very long time. They kind of missed the days when she was around because their President and his assistant were becoming icebergs freezing everyone around them without her.

Loran looked around in Sigma before visiting his branch.

Jai went to the sports academy to state his absence after lunch. Sky had sent them a letter saying Jai was ill after talking with his coach. Now he just has to appear and follow the further process.

Jai returned directly to the Harley mansion hence the four left Sigma on time.

Jai didn't have any match for another two months. He had missed a tournament in the meantime which was attended by a different player who had won the tournament.

From the looks, that player didn't like Jai's return. The committee would decide to choose whom to send for the next tournament after a selection process which would be a week before the tournament.

Jai's coach also reported to Sky that there were negative posts and comments on Jai saying that he had become arrogant by winning so many matches that he was doing as he wishes hence he should leave chances to other players.

Sky later asked her people and got to know the number people attacking were too less hence she decided to leave those netizens.

After dinner, Sky planned a few things with Loran and Ryan before sending them to bed. She sent Arlo to bed and went to Jai's room who was reading a book turning on the bedside lamp. She climbed on the bed and sat facing him as she covered him with a blanket.

Jai kept his book aside and heard her, "I'm sorry Brother Jai. I didn't want to ignore it for so long... Didn't you promise me that you will be safe doing your job? Why did you break it? Do you know how scared I was? I didn't even know what I would have done if I didn't get you in the forest. Who would have saved you if I didn't remember that you visited our Memories room? How could you clear all the traces by my hands? If you know my importance in your life, why can't you understand your importance to me?..."

Tears were rolling down on her face as she continued her questions. Jai kept wiping her tears as her every word made his heart tug tightly.

It was their protocol to keep their every data and information away from the general public. He knew well the passwords Sky would try hence he had added those user names instead of destructing the systems directly.

It was not only his habit but the other four would also always write down their place before leaving for those places.

But he didn't expect Sky to know it. He thought she would get to know after a very long time when she would visit the attic room to reminisce.

The last person he wanted to enter the forest was Sky which was too dangerous. The first and only person who could know his place was Sky too.

His mission was completed successfully as per the information they had. To return they had to choose a different route for not to leave traces.

While leaving, they weren't careful enough thinking they already cleared the possible threat. But he noticed the laser mark on his teammate, he leaped on him to save by pushing him down and alerted all, as a result, his shoulder got shot.

In the process of escaping from them, they started firing on each other. When others were covering him, he removed the bullet himself holding in the pain.

But he didn't get time to relax and they were attacked by another side which made their fight to save for their life.
