- So it's just us now - said Will.
He was sitting on the tall chair, by the counter, with Tihana next to him, drinking some juice. Ki'rai came to join him, as well as Celestine, who helped me clean after the rest of the people, who left.
I ended up behind the bar, pouring them the next portion of their chosen poison.
- What do you think? - he then asked my girlfriend.
- About? - she asked in response.
- Everything. You heard the whole story - he said.
Her eyes escaped to the ceiling for a moment, as she was trying to figure out what to say, or maybe thinking about what she heard.
- I... I don't know - she started. - I have some missing pieces, but... It's quite overwhelming. I never expected so much going on behind the scenes in this city. And that history about aliens who lived here before us... I need some time too. I think.
- Soo... You are going to be leaving too? - Tihana asked, looking at me, so I guessed I was the one who was supposed to answer that question.
- Yes. Definitely. But... - I sighed.
- What about me? What about...? - she looked at Celestine at that moment.
- Would you two like to go with me? I'll keep you safe - I promised.
- Yes - my daughter didn't even hesitate.
- I want my own city. I want the hunting ground for my people - said Ki'rai.
It surprised me, because not only was she calm as she said that, but also she didn't want to go with me. Her people were more important. It made me a little bit sad, but proud at the same time. She was all grown up now.
- I'm staying here. The city needs me, and I have a family on Earth - said Will.
Since all the people, except one, spoke out, it kinda became obvious that the silence which happened after was a room for Celestine to say something.
She felt the pressure we put on her, and I immediately noticed that she was torn between going and staying. She couldn't decide which option to choose. Then, for a brief moment, she closes her eyes.
- I-if I can... - she stated after she opened her eyes and focused them on me. - If I can, I would like to go with you.
Her cheeks got a little bit red. Tihana was the first one to react to those words, as she just jumped off her chair, run to her, and hugged her tightly.
- I think I have a new mom - she said all excited, with a very squeaky voice.
Then she giggled, making the brunette all happy too.
It looked like everybody spoke their mind, but if you thought like this, you were wrong.
- Bawk! - announced Tam from the table he was still standing on, and listening to everything.
- Of course, you are going with me! - I growled at him.
I facepalmed and then pulled my hand down very slowly, expressing my frustration with that damn animal. He was a part of me, but also kind of a separate entity. I guess everything that was irritating in me went to him, and that's why he was such a pain in the ass.
- Anyway! - I resumed the conversation. I guess how Will did it previously got stuck in my mind. - If we leave, there might be no time to go back to earth and communication will be hard until a proper portal will be open, so I think we should go for a family trip. I'm gonna get some crystals, we will cash on them, and for at least a fucking month, we are traveling around the world throwing money at everything we want to.
,m A giant smile appeared on Tihana's face. Her eyes got all sparkly.
- Dad, you don't even know how much I love you. You are the best parent ever - she shoved that bullshit into my face.
Anybody could tell that was just a bunch of lies.
- That sounds nice - Celestine pointed out shyly.
From what I knew she never experienced riches and had to work hard for everything in her life, so my offer sounded very tempting to her.
- What about the seeds? - asked Will.
- I will take care of the seeds when I'm back. Everybody will need time to think this whole thing through, and I bet that when they are done and agree to go, they will also want to go nuts on Earth. Who knows when they will be able to return - I pointed out.
Will slowly nodded.
- You might be right - he said, and then looked at Ki'rai. - What about you?
- Me? - she asked surprised. - I want to hunt! We couldn't hunt for so long, so now we want to hunt!
She said showing her sharp teeth in a confident grin.
The biology put into her genes by the Xuvi was speaking for itself. Xuzards had this itch then needed to be scratched, and the mission to keep an eye on Uhms made them very itchy, so now they were probably hunting a lot.
Will probably knew more about that than me.
- Soon, hopefully, you will have a whole city for just you and your people. No longer a need to share - he then added.
- And you will have a lot of space to fill with hunters after all of us is gone - she said.
Not only she pointed out an important thing, but also assumed that everybody would agree to our proposition. I wasn't as confident as she was. Some of the people, even if they wouldn't admit it, were hurt by all the secrecy.
Moreover, the decision wasn't an easy one. Who knew how much time they would need to build a proper city, and how much effort that would cost. There were also other difficulties, like whom to take on such journey. They just couldn't take random people.
I started to wonder about that, but I quickly dropped those thoughts. There was no reason for me to waste time on that. "It will be what it will be", I thought to myself.
Then I changed the topic, to more fun one, so we could drink some more and joke around to brighten the mood. Even Tam rejoined the conversation, bringing more of his ridiculousness to the table.
