Chapter 879 T.D.O.N.B: The Chopping Block

I will summarize everything that happened during the rest of the trip, no not bore you out of your mind. We continued the little vacation like everything was normal. The family had a few questions about where I went, so I said that I had to communicate with The Great One in Loistavadvaar, and then do a little favor for him.

Nobody, except Leonel, doubted that.

The agents from the local intelligence agency showed up a few days later. They wanted to question us, but they couldn't really come up with a good excuse, so after my questioning their reasons they backed down a little bit.

Of course, they couldn't mention the secret city or the death of Blue, so they tried to come up with something which was supposed to look like a routine procedure.

Again, only Leonel didn't buy it, but he also didn't ask me, despite clearly linking my disappearance with them.

This little event made my family members decide to cut the trip shorter, and a few days later we arrived back in India. From there we got straight to Arc. Will was already waiting for me inside the hall with the portal.

- I hope you had a good rest in Japan - he said with a smile to all of us.

- It was nice if not for some strange visit from the authorities - Celestine said.

- Probably just a routine control. You are hunters after all - he lied.

- That's what they said - Tihana added.

- I guess you came because you want to talk with me - I pushed my way into the conversation, cutting the crap.

- Yes. That's actually why I'm here - he admitted. - Do you mind if I steal him for a moment?

The question was directed to Celestine, and she nodded in answer.

They are shit scared, and already thinking of a way to not only find who is responsible but also deal with that person. Not to mention you gave them a few decent clues clearly. Americans are eighty percent sure it's you - he informed me.

- And you know that because? - I raised my eyebrows.

- Because they told me. I'm supposed to keep you on a leash. They don't care about our internal quarrels. They want the world to be at peace - he told me.

- So what did you tell them? - I asked out of pure curiosity.

- I didn't tell them shit - he slammed his fist into the wall, making a hole there. - I kept repeating that I don't know what they are talking about, but they didn't buy it.

- Well... In the end... Who cares? - I shrugged my shoulders again.

- Who cares? Who cares?! - he was about to snap.

- Will... You should stop thinking that we have to bow to anybody. They are not stronger than us, and if it was their problem, they would pull the same shit I did. Stop being afraid. We are a major power now. We don't need to be afraid of any country out there. They are fucking with us, so they should be prepared that we will respond. Stop running away from it, and start owning this - I told him, putting on a more serious tone.

He sighed.

- You think I don't know all that? - he asked me after a moment of silence. - I do. But my son lives there. He has a girlfriend. He is happy.

I came closer to put my hand on his shoulder.

- If they touch your son. I'll show them hell. You are not alone here, Will. Sanders is already back, and more are coming. We are at the top, time to start owning that - I said then patted him on that very shoulder.

He sighed again.

- Did you at least make sure he suffered enough? - he asked after another moment of silence.

- Yep. It was a horrible death. I also left them a message, to not fuck with us. And I brought this - I said while pulling the flash drive from my vault.

I gave it to him.

- What is this? - he asked taking it from my hand.

- Flash drive.

- That much I can see - he almost rolled his eyes. - What's on it?

- I don't know - I shrugged my shoulders. - A guy responsible for communication brought this to Blue. You should check it, maybe there will be something that interests us.

- Ok - he nodded.

- Oh, and one more thing. The fucker responsible for stealing the seed from us is Genusha Sab Ar Irati Ashemi. Yep. That very fucker - so he is the next one on the chopping block.

Will chuckled.

- I thought it could be him - he pointed out.

- Yeah - I agreed. - Me too, but we had no proof, and he was an ally... Fuck him. We don't need rats on our ship.

- I actually think The Great One will be happy if that guy dies. Even back then he was annoying to him. I believe now he is plotting to get rid of him by himself - Will pointed out.

- Maybe - I shrugged my shoulders. - I don't care. It's not like I'm going to ask him for permission anyway.

Will shook his head after sighing heavily for the third time. I passed by him on my way to the entrance, but he didn't try to stop me, nor did he say anything more, so I ended up leaving his house.

I knew I was bringing him a lot of trouble those days, but it was;t like I was going to stop. Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
