Chapter 887 T.D.O.N.B: Inside Yashasvee'mies's Palace

Name:Another Stupid Isekai Author:
All I was able to achieve through my charge, was to get a single one down. Then I got slammed by a lot of stuff, mostly the rubble, but it wasn't the end, since I managed to catch a few spells to the face too, before I evacuated, rushing at another one.

Fast forward two hours, which included two visits to Loistavadvaar, and I got rid of them. It was horrible, painful, and slow.

Compared to Ixa, I was better suited to deal with multiple weaker opponents. I could replenish my strength and was more mobile compared to her. That was probably the reason why she decided to evacuate.

At that point, I felt a bit stronger than her, at least equal, and they gave me a such hard time, so it was understandable that she decided to leave that place.

Exhausted, I spent a moment picking the crystals I was able to see, mostly to give myself a breather before approaching the massive tower. Who knew what I could encounter inside, so it was better to not only continue with the careful approach but also to try and stay on top of my game as much as it was possible, so wasting a minute or two was the correct decision.

Then I finally approached the tower. There was an entrance, and it even had a little roof over, spread between two columns. It was slightly bigger than it would be for humans, but it was understandable since the Bahumdabars were taller species.

I wasn't sure what to expect inside. I was torn between empty space, reacting to whoever was inside, like it was in Loistavadvaar, or something completely new.

It was the second. First of all, inside was more light than one could need, as the walls didn't seem to stop it from coming through.

I saw statues filling the first massive floor of that gargantuan structure. They were either made out of gold, or white marble. All seemed to be depicturing the same person. Well... the same Bahumdabar.

He was tall. A bit taller than most of the ghosts I encountered. Had a long face and big eyes. They were solid. Nobody seemed to bother sculpting the iris or the pupil. Always serious. Wearing many different robes, or armor. Weirdly noble. The glory was just oozing from the sculptures on the floor.

You could compare him to a human with the bone structure of his face. He had a flat, wide nose, and narrow mouth.

I glanced at quite a few likenesses of his, but only briefly as I still kept an open mind to a surprise attack from any direction or any time. Nothing like that happened, though, so I started looking for a way to get to the second floor.

In the middle of the space, the marble floor was replaced by pure gold. It was engraved with symbols surrounding a small round surface with a diameter of around 5 meters. Something above fifteen feet.

Not thinking too much of it, I spotted inside, just to find myself in a different place. The same massive round space, but slightly different, which made me believe it was the second floor.

It was a garden filled with alien colorful plants. Some red, some blue, some yellow, and only a few greens. A couple of them were flowers and seemed to be ever-blooming. The scent was nice, but since there was nobody around I decided to not stay there for much longer.

I stepped on the same circle in the middle, hoping to travel to the third floor, but nothing happened.

- Up? Down? - I said, looking at the ceiling, and for a second I found myself in yet another similar chamber, just to return back to the second floor. - Ok, I get it. Up.

The third floor was actually trashed. It seemed like there was some kind of room with furniture, but it all was burned, melter, or completely trashed. Surprisingly the walls didn't seem like they sustained any damage.

- Up - I said once again.

Just to see something very much similar. A devastated space, where clearly a fight transpired. There were some differences, but overall, it was all the same, and still, the walls were intact, just like the floor and the ceiling.

I repeated the same words, getting higher and higher, finding it tougher to stay on a high alert since not much was changing, and I couldn't find a living, or undead, soul around. Eventually, after a few hundred repetitions, I found myself in a space that was different.

First of all, it was bigger. Only because the ceiling was placed a few dozen meters above. There was weaponry inside. Most were mounted to the walls, but a few seemed to be kept in trashed display cases. There were also armor racks, but most of them got destroyed.

It looked like an armory.

That was not the only difference from what I saw before since in that particular chamber, there were also three creatures. Ghosts, obviously.

All were very similar wearing golden robes, with golden masks covering their faces. The first one had a massive golden rod with a red crystal on top. the second didn't seem to be armed, and the third had this short, but very wide, the massive sword resting on his shoulder.

They all were standing around a corpse. It was another Bahumdabar, but not much of him was any longer recognizable. What was left were mostly destroyed, partially burned bones inside a golden robe.

I didn't have any doubts that this was Yashasvee'mies. The former role of this massive, magnificent empire I was currently in the center of. That was the man whom The Great One chose before me. That was the one who betrayed him and refused to participate in his grand plan of fighting the army of mindless puppets.

Despite how long I'm describing this, I was able to only look for a second, maybe two, before the three individuals changed their focus toward me.
