I leave the cart with the empty crates in the rear warehouse and return to the store.

Thomas Company, the largest fruit specialist in the Mainz city, also makes many deliveries to restaurants.

The senior employees were out on a delivery, and only the owner, Mr. Thomas, and his wife were in the store.

“Edel, welcome back. Help me, the store is a little busy.”

At the wife’s request, I arrange the fruits on the table.

A regular asked for today’s recommendation, so I recommended the pears that sold well at the stall today.

“If you cool it down a little with well water before eating it, it tastes good on a hot day like today.”

Usually, when customers ask and I answer, the products don’t sell, but for some reason, they sold well today.

Really, they taste even better if you chill them in ice water before eating them.

Apples and grapes also sold well.

I just told them that they would taste better if they were cooled in well water, and yet, strangely enough, they sold well.

“It’s been a busy day. Edel did a great job. The apples and pears are sold out.”

Thomas, the owner, complimented me, which made me kind of happy.

“That reminds me, Edel, bring me the leftover fruit from the morning market. It’s probably still in the warehouse because we were so busy and I had you helping out in the store right away.”

The wife counts today’s sales and gives instructions to Edel.

“Madam, all the fruit I brought today has been sold.”

Because the wife won’t be mad when I told her the truth, be honest with her.

Afterall she sent all of us out to learn about business.

So it’s okay if it doesn’t sell.

“Here are the sales for today.”

The wife is surprised when I give her all the money.

What’s the matter?　Thomas-sama, the owner of the store, also asked.

“I met Ginjiro-san today, a mysterious man with dark eyes and dark hair, and Harry-san, a wizard in a robe, and an old lady who sold vegetables.”

I told them honestly what happened today.

They all said they didn’t understand what I meant.

I brought a lot of fruit, but even if I sold it all, I wouldn’t be able to get this amount of money.

But when she realized I wasn’t lying, she apologized several times for doubting me.

Even I couldn’t believe it, so I guess it can’t be helped.

I asked them if I could do the stall again tomorrow, and they encouraged me to do my best.

I received an allowance from Thomas-sama.

It was a large sum of money, a silver coin, and I was very happy.

I told him that I wanted to use the money to buy a pineapple for my mother, a very expensive fruit, and he gave it to me for free.

Pineapple is a luxury item that costs one silver coin to purchase, so I was very happy.

I asked Thomas-sama if I could take these pineapples tomorrow, and he was worried.

He thought it was a bad idea, but the wife encouraged me to sell it.
