Su carefully covered her little companion with her wings. When her other companion who was stronger than her, Fikar, had given her an order with his eyes, Su felt proud to finally be recognized as a member of his group. The little companion was Fikar’s companion, but also Su’s best friend. When she found Su, she would sign to Su, give Su little snacks, and, most importantly, she treated Su well. The fact that she took good care of the magnificent Su meant that she was intelligent and understood Su’s value.

Actually, Su wanted to kick out those things that were intruding on her territory, but she decided to hand the issue over to Fikar. In return, Su would do a perfect job of protecting her small companion. It was outrageous to think that this friend, who was so good at stroking Su, would be taken away by a nuisance that only consisted of a big guy and a dragon. She could’ve just burned everything with flames, but stopped herself because it seemed like Fikar wanted to get rid of them himself. Besides, Fikar was terrible to her whenever she acted even a little violent.

The biggest of the intruding humans was wielding a big piece of metal. Fikar followed it with his eyes, avoiding it when it came close. He also sometimes used his smaller piece of metal, causing sparks to scatter as the two pieces of metal collided. Su could make a bigger fire, but since it wasn’t her turn, she had to keep quiet. The two men circled around each other, the bigger one gradually slowing down. When Su muttered that she was bored, the small human stroked her chin. Su loved the feeling of a warm hand on her chin. She didn’t like having to hold her wings open like this, but the little human was warm, kind, and good at stroking her chin, so she decided the situation was acceptable. Su was a generous dragon.

While she was being stroked and feeling good, Fikar kicked his opponent a few times. Su couldn’t help but let out a low groan. Fikar was small and didn’t have fangs, but those kicks sure hurt a lot. Even a casual kick hurt, but a kick with full force? She shuddered at the thought. The larger human rolled over and Fikar stood in place. One of the humans in Fikar’s territory squealed, and the atmosphere loosened up.

The nearby human in black then walked towards Fikar, while the big human retreated from the fight. He looked like he was in pain. Su felt a little sympathetic towards him, knowing how it felt to get kicked by Fikar, but then again, this human was intruding on her territory, so she still had to intimidate him a little.

The human in black carried a wooden stick that seemed to be able to spit fire. Humans sometimes carried those sorts of things. Back when Su was by herself, there were times when such a human would confront her. Of course, Su repelled all of them, but she knew they were a hassle to deal with. As she wondered if Fikar knew about that, she looked at him and saw that he had almost been cut in half by the black one’s wind. She almost tried to go and help him, but the little companion she was sheltering in her wings yelped in surprise at Su’s movement. Ah, no good. Su is a good girl, so she should do her job and stay calm.

Or so those were her thoughts, although the black one spitting out big flames, water, and lightning didn’t sit well with her. Su would get told off for doing that, so hurry up and tell this human off! Is it because Su can only spit fire? or because she can only spit it out of her mouth?

Fikar moved around, eyeing the wooden stick in the black one’s hands. Maybe he was looking at the place where all the fire and water was spewing from.

What in the world are you waiting for?! Why don’t you just hit him already?! Like with Su?!

Su started getting louder, making her voice heard, but Fikar continued to ignore her. Maybe he would look if she got louder? But she also didn’t want to make Fikar angry since she didn’t want to get hurt.

Move faster, trample him there. Ah, he’s spitting water. If Fikar had a tail right now, he could slap the human in black. Mhm, there.

Su was a strong and proud dragon, so she wanted to help her companion rather than letting him fight alone and then look down on her. Surely that would make Fikar reconsider Su’s position. He might even praise her.

She wanted to help Fikar and for Fikar to see her as a true companion. She wanted to get rid of the nuisances as soon as possible. The feeling that Su had to sit and watch while they were having fun fighting, the feeling of remembering all the built-up resentment over Fikar doing this and that to her, the feeling that she would have been delighted to beat the invading humans and dragons to pulps…

No, no, no. Su’s job was to guard her little companion. The little fellow was smart, but a bit dense, so Su had to protect her. If she did it well, Fikar would praise her. Praise~ Surely she’d be praised for her strength~ Su is amazing! But she wanted to show them that she was even more amazing. It’d be fun to beat the intruders down and, after all she’s been through, it’d only be right that Su got her turn. Su wanted to go berserk, too, but Su had to remain calm. Human companionship is quite confining.

The human in black looked like he was getting more and more frustrating as Fikar kept dodging his attacks. That’s it, that’s it. Fikar was very light-footed. He moved in a unique way, making him hard to catch even for someone as fast as Su. Only Fikar’s little companions could catch him. They were slower, but they could catch him in an instant, so they must’ve had some great hidden powers.

The human in black spewed out a big burst of thunderbolts, approaching Fikar from all sides. Su was so surprised that she spewed her own burst of fire towards them. Su had helped him, but Fikar glared at her. She helped. But she averted her eyes. Even if she didn’t get praised for doing something good, she was a noble dragon and wouldn’t get discouraged just because of that.

At that point, it seemed like Fikar got bored, so he grabbed the black one and threw them aside. The black one tried to use a burst of wind to regain his stance, but Fikar simply kicked him down, grabbed him by the chest, and held him down. That’s gotta hurt… Su cowered as if it were her on the receiving end.

The human in black staggered to its feet as cries rang out from the humans in the area once again. It was a bit strange that Fikar never cut up or ate his opponents when he won, but the losers were being meek, so it was fine. The annoying ones circled overhead were making worried cries as they looked at their lords. Su barked “Suck it!” smugly, but she was quick to shut up when Fikar glared at her again.

The remaining human walked up to Fikar, replacing the one in black. This one’s appearance was somewhat similar to FIkar’s. Being smart and having good intuition, Su knew that this human was pretty strong.

The stronger the opponent, the more fun it is to defeat them. When she thought of how much fun FIkar would have, Su wanted to go wild as well. Although humans were small, they also used their brains to fight, so they were quite interesting to watch. But! It would be even more fun if Su could join in!

Su wagged her tail, letting out a low, gurgling growl in a good mood.
