Ming had assumed one move would settle it, but to his surprise, after whacking the Three-Eyed Freak a few times with the staff, the guy easily started dodging - proof his eye was formidable. However, hitting him was still simple; just remove his foresight, and death would come.
"That all you got?"
The Three-Eyed Freak brushed the sand off himself, eyes full of disdain. Then he stepped forcefully, electricity flashing as he shot forth, appearing before Raoul in the next instant and smashing a fist out, pounding Raoul heavily into the ground.
As he reared back to strike again, Frank charged over from the side to block, only to be sent flying by another punch.
Ming marveled - this Freak's 'flesh' was so strong, even without weapons, he was ferocious.
Euryale fired a barrage of arrows; all dodged as the Three-Eyed Freak came closer and punched her down with one hit.
[Raoul looks at you - Boss, no weakness found yet~?]
[Frank continues charging, sneaking around the back!]
[Kyomoto Jiro keeps power slamming Divine Hound, angry that this man dared lick its toes right in front of it~]
"~~" n0VεlusB.c0m
Ming glanced over at Kyomoto Jiro - through this journey's evolution, it was now 5-star Epic level. How was it taking so long against an Elite-tier junior?
Next, he inspected the Divine Hound again:
[Divine Talent: Strong Body and Mind - For a simp, vital to run around pleasing others is a sturdy body to support him and a resilient mind to happily help his goddess's affairs, paying for her rooms and supplies, ordering takeout while she's occupied, taking joy in her joy... Effect: All defenses 50 million, mental fortitude, immune to taunts.]
"This..." Ming was awed. No wonder the Three-Eyed Freak and Divine Hound could partner up; both were ruthless - one enduring, the other forbearing, a perfect match!
His gaze returned to the Three-Eyed Freak's side. Raoul, Frank, and Euryale's joint attack was fierce, coordination honed after long practice, but no hits landed.
And despite observing many rounds of combat, Ming hadn't noticed the Freak use his 'third eye' at all...
Slap!
Ming slapped his forehead. He'd been stuck on the mythic notion of three eyes when the gods were created by the rules - which never followed convention. This Freak's foresight had nothing to do with an extra eye, just a talent of some kind.
[Raoul falls, looking at you - Got a plan yet?]
[Frank rubs his chest - This pretty boy's quite strong, I like it~]
[Euryale glares at Frank - Stay serious!]
"Got it!"
From his observations so far, Ming surmised the Three-Eyed Freak's 'foresight eye' worked by seeing the initial motions of an attack and then predicting. To defeat him, obscure the setup motions and disrupt his vision.
Right!
Ming charged forward, feinting three times in succession. As expected, the Three-Eyed Freak grabbed Frank and blocked - taking all three hits directly.
[Frank looks at you - Ming, that's me~]
Ming's next move - toss out the tent to trap the Three-Eyed Freak and Frank, immediately exiting himself.
Inside, the Three-Eyed Freak clenched his fist.
[Your skill has been silenced]
"Hmph! Petty tricks!"
He smashed Frank with one punch, then began pummeling the tent.
Defense -3999
Defense -2999
"Futile!"
The Three-Eyed Freak sneered and punched out once more!
Boom! The tent shattered!
As it broke, 'darkness' fell~ Foul mud poured in from all sides, instantly coating the Three-Eyed Freak and turning him into a mud monster - unavoidable with this mud blast strategy.
Ming's command was crucial for Euryale, Raoul, Kyomoto Jiro, and Chef to hurl mud the instant the tent ruptured, not allowing the Freak to foresee it.
Of course, it wasn't over yet. Ming, now invisible, appeared behind Three-Eyed Freak, his mud-coated hands clasping the Freak's eyes. "Guess who~?" he asked, vigorously rubbing and squeezing the eyes... He'd already prepared when fighting seriously - left hand open, invisible, motions obscured.
"!!" The Three-Eyed Freak froze, then let out a miserable wail. "Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot~~~" Eyes scrunched shut, he began lashing out blindly!
"One point seven meters, three centimeters, one point seven meters, three centimeters..."
Ming took out the Divine Staff, extending and retracting it to strike.
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
Blinded for now, the Three-Eyed Freak's foresight was completely lost. He could only take the hits.
[Chef tosses over a can of chili oil, Carolina Reaper brand~]
Ming caught it and reapplied the chili oil.
"Argh!" The Three-Eyed Freak clutched his eyes in pain. Rubbing only ground the oil deeper, more agonizing! He felt his eyes gushing tears like fountains, the salt stinging the chili oil. He roared, "Despicable wretch!"
"Heh~" Ming laughed - for a toilet peeper to use that term on someone else... Still, he had to admit kids should never imitate this eye chili oil trick. Friendship and kindness among classmates is the proper path.
"Beat him up!" At Ming's order, everyone moved in, bashing the Three-Eyed Freak with their weapons, breaking his defense, and crippling him.
[Your da Vinci looks at you - Again?]
A moment later.
[Your da Vinci looks at you - He's out of stock~]
"Good."
Ming pressed the Three-Eyed Freak's forehead, attempting to bridge...
Bridge failed...
"Hmm?" Ming frowned. Was his spirit power insufficient?
Clenching and relaxing his fist...
Bridge failed...
"Tsk~" Ming couldn't believe this guy's spirit force was so strong?
Clench, relax...
Bridge failed...
"Hahaha~ You think you can control me?"
The Three-Eyed Freak laughed wildly through his tears, vision starting to recover. "You're unworthy!"
Ming stopped trying. Two possibilities - either this guy was designed to be unbridgeable, or his spirit force was extremely high. After all, someone who could squat for 48 hours must have a formidable spirit realm. Since that was the case, he could only be killed.
Ming looked at the Three-Eyed Freak. "You're fated to die. Anything you want to say? Like regretting your actions or telling me who else awaits up ahead?"
"..."
The Three-Eyed Freak's expression shifted rapidly between rage and delight as he struggled internally. Finally, he spoke, "You're delusional... I'm actually quite pitiful. Apotheosis? I'm fucking incarcerated here, enduring endless torment. Forced to stay with a bloody simp each day - I'm in agony..."
Here, he looked up, staring at Kyomoto Jiro with great longing. "Until today when I met her... I can die without regrets now... Up ahead is a bratty pyromaniac. Beat him up, and his dad will appear... Ugh...I'm dying..."
The Three-Eyed Freak turned to Kyomoto Jiro. "Before I die, can she give me a kiss...ugh..."
Ming shrugged. "If you like being kissed by a man, I don't see an issue with it~"
"A man?"
The Three-Eyed Freak looked pained and shocked.
Kyomoto Jiro lifted its skirt.
The Freak's eyes bulged. "You're all...big liars!!"
The Three-Eyed Freak, dead!
Hum~
Colorful cards are scattered on the ground. Ming collected and sorted them into his puppet space, then sat by the convenience store entrance to check the Freak's talents:
[Divine Talent: My foresight is accurate. All the stealth peeping has honed this talent - at toilets, on roads, conventions, gatherings... So, facing any target, you can perceive their next move...]
"Great talent~" Ming immediately learned it without hesitation. Though its origins were unsavory, he would make proper use of it. This talent was now rectified.
