Ding!
[You have slain "Orb Tribe Member" and gained 10,000,000 experience points!]
[You have leveled up to level 142.]
[You have leveled up to level 143.]
[+10 to all attributes and + 8 free points to allocate.]
And of course, an [Extraction] prompt appeared before him as he had effectively killed one of the orcs.
Ding!
[Select a drop.]
[Orc Cleaver (Epic)]
[Grants 1,000 Strength to anyone strong enough to wield it.]
[Orc Teeth (Rare Material)]
[Can be used as a material to sharpen a weapon.]
[Skull Necklace (Common)]
[It's just a necklace that the orcs wear to recognize each other, nothing special about it.]
In the end, he obviously decided to select the Orc Teeth, as everything else was useless.
"Thanks, dear," Alera sighed beside him, visibly injured from the fight, "Wouldn't have won that without you."
"You can thank the Undead King," Alex shrugged, "Though he probably won't bother to come out."
The only reason the Undead King was coming out was because he was kind of forced to thanks to the contract he had with Alex.
[Death Call] was something he needed to follow, otherwise his soul might get eradicated.
But thankfully, they had dealt with those orcs.
Without that help though, even Alex and all of his undead struggled, meaning he would have probably lost if it kept going.
The orc tribe was truly powerful, and do note that they aren't even close to being the strongest!
"Let's go to Alice, she probably has a healing potion," Alex helped Alera up and the two of them walked to the queen's home.
Fox girls emerged from their houses to see if everything was alright.
"The intruders are dead, no information has been revealed to the outside," Alera shouted, and everyone cheered, including Alice and Lilith.
As Alex expected, the girl had more than enough [Healing Potions] for them both, allowing them to restore their HP.
"I would watch out, though, if they detect their members died here, they could send more of them," Alera sighed again, worried about the safety of her village.
If only there was a way to keep them all safe in a good environment...
"A-And we'll tell you if the other girl wakes up," Lilith intervened in a cute voice.
"Thanks."
Arcelia had shown no sign of waking up yet, so he might as well keep going until she did.
Opening up his [World Map], he selected [Bell City], then teleported while holding Alice's hand.
...
Once they landed on solid ground, they instantly departed toward their location, which was in the opposite direction to [Bell City].
It didn't take them long to reach it, though, less than twenty minutes, in fact.
"That's it," Alice nodded, remembering perfectly when she came here the first time.
The moment Alex and Alice stepped foot in the [Crossroad Plains], the scenery shifted dramatically.
Rolling green fields stretched endlessly under the night sky, dotted with jagged rock formations and eerie, twisted trees.
The air buzzed with tension, the cries of distant monsters adding to the ominous atmosphere.
But the two of them were unfazed.
"Well," Alex smirked as he gave a good smack to Alice's butt, "Go get those elites, and make sure to get the bonus reward too!"
"Y-Yes!" she beamed.
With that, the two split up.
Alice went to the place where the most monsters appeared, while Alex simply prioritized reaching the end of the plains.
Alex cracked his knuckles, not even bothering to summon his undead army.
Instead, he just alternated between his spells, devastating the area and any monster with [Fire Meteors], [Oblivion Strike], and [Fury of Thunder].
The monsters barely had time to react, overwhelmed by his relentless assault.
By the time he reached the end of the valley, the ground was littered with the corpses of defeated monsters.
Not enough to level up, though, but he did acquire a dozen of attribute points on each stat.
Finally, after an hour or so, he crested one of the hills blocking his view, and there, in the distance, he finally saw the massive level 3 city: [Star City]!
He had reached his goal, and from here, it looked even more beautiful than he remembered it.
Without wasting a single second, he slid down the hill and began running toward the city to check it out.
He wouldn't have much time to explore soon, so he might as well do it while he could.
"Time for the next step," he murmured, gripping his staff tightly.
[Star City] was not only the biggest and most powerful city up until now, but also the most dangerous.
Even he needed to be careful of some people in there.
