Chapter 130 Double Experience Zone's First Monsters, Thunder Wolves

Alex tightened his grip on his staff as a low growl echoed through the Angel Forest.

From behind a thicket, a massive wolf emerged, its fur crackling with electric sparks.

Its glowing eyes locked onto the intruders

[Thunder Wolf, Level 410]

[HP: 27,000,000]

"That's... not as bad as I thought it would be," Alex muttered, used to fighting massive boss-like wolves now thanks to the [Cave of Oblivion].

The beast exuded a menacing aura, its fur bristling with arcs of electricity dancing across its muscular frame.

Its sharp claws gouged the ground, leaving charred marks in its wake.

"Alright, same strategy as before," Alex mumbled, summoning his undead army. "I'll take it down quickly before it calls for backup."

Alice nodded, gripping her bow tightly. "Got it. I'll slow it with [Ice Arrows] first."

Alex raised his hand, summoning his undead warriors.

[+80 Skeletons, +13 Grand Skeletons, +4 Bony Knights, +3 Spectral Wraiths]

"Go!" he commanded, and the undead charged at the wolf.

The [Thunder Wolf] reacted instantly, releasing a loud howl that sent a wave of electricity rippling outward.

Alex's undead stumbled but pressed on, surrounding the beast from all sides.

Alice nocked an arrow glowing with star energy and let it loose.

"Sparkling Star Shot!" she shouted.

The projectile struck true, embedding itself in the wolf's flank.

-7,849!

It wasn't much, but for someone of her level it was indeed fascinating, and note that this is only a normal arrow.

Alex didn't waste any time either, using some of his spells.

Crimson Cataclysm!

Spikes of blood erupted from the ground around the wolf, piercing its legs and forcing it to stagger.

14 spikes emerged and hit.

-420,000!

The wolf retaliated with a burst of lightning that arced between the spikes, shattering them and electrocuting twenty of Alex's undead

"Not bad," Alex muttered, summoning more undead to replace the fallen ones. "But you're not getting away that easily."

He activated [Fury of Thunder], sending three bolts of lightning crashing down on the wolf.

Each strike caused the beast to howl in pain, its fur singed and its movements more erratic.

[Thunder Wolf stunned!]

Alice switched her arrows, pulling out a glowing red one.

"[Blood Arrows]," she whispered, drawing back her bowstring.

The arrow flew with a massive impact, hitting the wolf's chest and causing a deep wound that began to bleed profusely.

-78,938!

[Bleed caused, dealing 10% of monster's HP.]

-2,700,000!

Angels used the [Double Experience Zone] to train as it was blessed by the [God of Light], and the [Angel Forest] as said before was only the first zone.

Meaning that there was a chance he could meet one of them in this zone if he wasn't careful, and it would be instant death if he did.

There were 4 zones in total: Angel Forest, Light Plains, Dark Lands and finally... the Abyss.

Yes, you heard that right, the tier 7-tier 8 area where one of the gods was currently resting was located there.

Though you would need to reach minimum level 800 to try, and even then, angels knew they couldn't afford to go there as any angel that went inside would never come back.

They even had a prophecy: when someone goes inside the abyss and emerges victorious, they will be crowned the savior of the angels.

As said before, the [God of the Abyss] was the only god humanity had successfully killed in Alex's previous life, though that was only because he hadn't been in the [Abyss] at that moment, which is his domain and where he is most powerful.

Basically, Alex wouldn't go there, he wasn't stupid.

After defeating the [Thunder Wolf], an extraction prompt obviously appeared before him.

Much like the [Cave of Oblivion], most monsters here could be considered the "boss" type.

Ding!

[Pick something to extract]

[Thunder Wolf Meat (Mythical Food)]

[Description: Consuming this meat temporarily grants the eater a 30% boost to agility and complete resistance to lightning-based attacks for 24 hours.]

[Thunder Wolf Fang (Legendary Material)]

[Description: A rare crafting material imbued with lightning energy. Can be used to forge high-tier weapons or accessories.]

[Thunder Core (Legendary Item)]

[Description: A concentrated core of lightning energy. Used in crafting or as a power source for certain skills and equipment.]

Alex considered his options carefully.

In the [Cave of Oblivion], he had often prioritized [Attribute Points Packs], but this time, he decided to take the [Thunder Wolf Meat].

He wanted to test the effects of food items again after so long, especially now with his new powers.

He also planned to go back to the [Cave of Oblivion] to farm the shadow dire wolves there once they respawned.

But for now, he would need to level up.

...

The following days were a blur of constant battles and grinding.

Alex and Alice moved through the [Angel Forest], systematically hunting down monsters and growing stronger with each kill.

From [Lightning Stags] to [Angelic Falcons], the monsters varied in their abilities but all provided valuable experience.

Alex relied heavily on his undead army, continuously honing his control over them while experimenting with his blood arts.

Alice, meanwhile, grew more adept with her arrows, combining her skills in creative ways to maximize damage.

[Extraction talent activated: x47 Thunder Wolf Meat, x3 Thunder Core +573 Vitality, +431 Agility, +1,193 Spirit, +783 Strength]

Until eventually, this happened:

Ding! Ding!

[You have leveled up to level 250!]

[You cannot level up anymore until completing your Tier 5 Advancement Task.]

Alex stopped in his tracks, a grin spreading across his face.

"Here we go," he said, his excitement palpable.
