Chapter 148: Handling the Curse Somehow, Foursome with the Girls

Chapter 148: Handling the Curse Somehow, Foursome with the Girls

The moment they teleported to the [Fox Tribe Village], a sudden yet small pain came rushing at Alex from within his body.

At first, he thought it was a wound from a previous battle, but when he checked his panel, he saw the real reason:

[Take care of your urges.]

A warning had appeared beforehand, but he had ignored it to participate in the public opening of Universal Descent.

It was the first time in weeks he actually let it happen, and the reason why he immediately teleported to the [Fox Tribe Village].

"..." Alex expected even more pain to arrive.

But surprisingly, none of that happened.

In fact, though he could feel that the curse was trying to hurt him from the inside, he wasn't hurt at all.

'Did I grow immunity?' it's effects were stronger than before as the Undead King had leveled up, but even then, he wasn't fazed.

Of course, it wasn't immunity or anything of the sort though.

"The Heart of Calamity," Alphox groaned as he materialized above Alex, "Remember what it said?"

"..."

[Your soul has been strengthened by the "Heart of Calamity"]

Was this it?

Normally, a curse like the Undead King's at this level should be powerful enough to shatter your souls in a few minutes if you didn't respond, causing you immense pain.

Yet now, he wasn't feeling much pain at all, in fact, he was pretty calm.

An artifact that strengthened your soul is no joke, and if people found it, they would probably torture him to get it out.

Though of course, even Alex had no idea how to do that.

"I wonder though..." he mumbled to himself, "Would that strengthening also affect soul attacks?"

Usually he would die in three soul attacks, but what if he now took much more to kill him?

It would mean that permanently killing him would be difficult, even for a high-level monster that had lots of soul attacks.

In the end, he simply decided to take care of his urges, indulging in another threesome with Alice, Lilith and Alera, who all seemed extremely pleased by his growing... hardness.

"Hah~ d-dear~ c-calm down~" Alera, whose strength was now inferior to Alex's, couldn't resist as hard as she usually would.

He lay here down on her stomach, holding her in a chokehold and pounding her from behind, unable to suppress her moans as her juices squirted everywhere.

"Hiiii~" she couldn't stop the climaxes that came one after the other, she was at his mercy.

And the strangest thing of all was that Alex wasn't into such a kind of play: Lilith and Alera were the ones who asked him to try and choke them.

'Weird kink...' he mumbled, unable to understand.

He could never imagine doing that with Alice.

[Undead Lord A-Level Advancement Task: Defeat 50000 monsters with your undead.] (29,721/50,000)

"We still got a long way to go," he shrugged.

"Damn, well I'll go back to my cultivation," the Undead King sighed before disappearing.

"You should find me some dragons too, human, I am getting tired of staying at this level!" Alphox continued.

These two beings, though they were powerful, were asking a lot from Alex.

And all he could do was wait, hoping more opportunities would present themselves.

Or at least, that was until he remembered something.

"Alphox," he mumbled, his grin widening.

"Hm?"

"There might be a few dragons you can fight inside the academy examination."

"Then let us go there, human!"

Alex couldn't remember everything, of course he couldn't, for example he didn't even remember the name of the place where the examination took place, but there was a detail he couldn't forget: there were dragons.

And as Alphox now needed to defeat dragons to level up, it meant it could boost his powers by a lot.

"Alright, doesn't matter, time to start the typical attribute points grind," Alex grinned, opening up his world map and selecting the [Cave of Oblivion - Heart of Calamity Chamber].

But of course, he couldn't teleport just like this.

"Scan," he whispered.

It was something he always did now that he unlocked his new perk.

It couldn't detect monsters, meaning that ambushes from enemies wouldn't work, but NPCs and players would be detected.

Until now, it had never scanned anybody, obviously, as no one should even be inside of the [Cave of Oblivion] at this point of the game.

But then... the unexpected happened.

[Scan complete.]

[5 powerful presences found.]

"Huh?"

There were actually some people on the other side, more precisely inside of the chamber where the [Heart of Calamity] previously was only a few weeks ago.

Normal NPCs that were roaming around? A race trying to fight monsters and level up? Or maybe...

"That would be the most obvious answer," Alex's expression turned dark.

It was probably the [Hatred Sect] itself, trying to acquire an item for their ritual.

And if they were inside of the [Cave of Oblivion], with 5 of their "powerful" members, as the scan said, then it meant... there was something inside that they really wanted.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what though: the Heart of Calamity.
