Chapter 1296: Cry Baby

"Ahh, there he is!"

While little Jia was smiling, she saw the person she had just recalled about and pointed behind them.

Ye Qian turned around and saw Su Zen who was holding Gao's hand as they made their way.

The little fellow had a smile on his lips as he talked to his father, a comparatively much better scene than what Little Jia's classmate was.

Upon turning around, the little girl waved her tiny hand at Gao, and called for him.

"Big Brother Gao!"

Noticing that someone was calling for his son, Su Zen looked around in confusion, only to realize that Ye Qian stood not much far away from him, a little girl in his arms while she seemed to be waving at him and his son.

He didn't think much since Su Ren had told him that Ye Qian's daughter was in a lower grade than Gao, but seeing the girl call for his son like this, the man couldn't help but think that they seemed to be rather much acquainted.

"Do you meet her often?"

He asked in a whisper and walked towards Ye Qian, even if he didn't particularly like, Ye Qian, he didn't hate the fellow either for just turning sideways and walking away for no reason.

And even if Ye Qian had been respectful which he thought was because the fellow wanted him to look for a job for himself, he didn't think that it would turn out to leave a good impression on the children.

"Ahh, yes, Jia and some of her friends play with us in the breaks."

"Ohh."

Su Zen nodded and saw the bright elder brotherly smile on his son's face making him recall his own childhood with his younger brother.

As the father-son duo approached them and smiled, Little Jia asked, her brows raised high in curiousness.

"Big Brother Gao, is this your dad?"

"Yes."

"Hello Uncle Su, I am Jia."

The little girl greeted, eliciting a smile on Su Zen's face.

He didn't know why, but for some reason, the little girl's smile seemed infectious and he couldn't help but smile.

'Seems like Ren wasn't lying when he seemed envious of his friend for having such a daughter.'

He couldn't help but want to chuckle, nonetheless, he held himself, not wanting to say the reason behind his unexpected laugh.

"Hello," Su Zen simply smiled back before turning to Ye Qian.

Ye Qian said, quite embarrassed, only then did he realize why Su Zen was talking so much about recession and how hard it was to find a job.

"Well, that's a good thing."

Su Zen forced a smile.

'This fellow, what would have taken him to inform me, and here I was feeling guilty for not wanting to help him before.'

"Alright, we will meet some other day."

"Bye, uncle, and you, humph, I don't know you."

The little girl waved her small hand at Su Zen before looking at Gao and narrowed her eyes before turning her head sideways.

"Hehe, bye bye cry by."

Gao showed his tongue before he felt a hand on his head messing his hair.

"Stop messing with her, kido."

"Ahh, dad."

Seeing the scene, Ye Qian could only try his best to control his laughter as his daughter would fume on him for laughing.

He could already seen the little girl sitting on his arm fuming from anger as stared dagger at the little figure that was walking away.

"You..."

"It's alright Jia, he is just teasing you."

"Humph."

The little girl harrumphed before pouting.

Unbeknownst to her, the little girl had started acting just like a little girl and not mature like how she was before.

'Not having to worry and the surrounding atmosphere has somewhat let her free her true self.'

A gentle smile appeared on Ye Qian's lips as he walked ahead.

On their way, they met Huang and her mother, who greeted Ye Qian with a bright smile.

And Ye Qian could feel that the little girl's mother seemed surprisingly better.

The small hairpin that he had given to the girl a few days ago was a simple artifact that would act as a spiritual energy magnet and it won't be wrong to see some changes in the little girl's family's bodies.
