Chapter 38: The Woman He Would Like to Marry

In Liang city, the Wayne's Group had monopolies on real estates, hotels,

entertainments and other industries. There were plenty kinds of works that were

charged by the Secretary department. It took me the whole morning to just

remember the duties of each one.

Fortunately, there was a man asked by Wayne to help me to get familiar with the

business. The man knew that I was a airborne one which means that I got the

place in the company through a back door so he was quite enthusiastic.

I almost understood my job through the whole morning's learning.

I learned languages in the university, so Wayne did not make any waste on that.

He tried his best to exploit every bit of my workforce. I was so angry that would

even like to abreact to others since I saw a heap of documents that I had to take

duty on.

When I was busy like in hell, a girl beside greeted me with smile.

"Hello, my name's Sarah Occam and I'm one of the bottom new persons, too, a

trainee. Let's add each other's Skype so we can communicate with each other

when there is something confusing!"

I looked at her carefully. She was about 27 or 28 years old and she was very

beautiful. She was in a black formal suit and she looked very elegant!

I pressed my lips. Wayne had such a good luck of seeing beautiful women. All

the female employees of Secretary department were belles. I didn't know if his

standard of hiring employees was appearance first!

"Hello, my name's Lydia Toland." I added her to my Skype.

She passed my request then chatted with me cordially," Which university did you

graduate from? I graduated from Yale and just came back to the country. I put a

lot of effort to be a trainee in the company. I hope I can stay here in three months!

How about you?"

I smiled sheepishly. Suddenly, I felt embarrassed to say anything about my

university.

" I have not graduated yet. I'm a student of Liang university and I'm going to be a

junior student next semester. “

She opened her eye widely and surprisingly staring at me," How did you get into

the company? The requirement of recruitment of the Wayne's Group was very

strict. You have to pass all the special exams. Did you get here by some back

doors?"

I nodded, “ I probably did."

" Then I know why their sights on you were strange. I used to think you are too

awesome and they were afraid of you! But in fact, that was because of this

reason..."

I looked at her curiously," Were they? Why?"

Sarah showed her white eyes to me and moved her chair to my side," Of course.

Maybe you didn't know that there is basically no employee getting the job through

the back door since the company has a strict recruitment rule. From the company

The whole company was admiring him and respecting him to a burning level.

After two days, I could do the job that belonged to me very well. Wayne was like

lost in these two days. There was no message coming from him. I won't contact

him forwardly if he did not contact me.

Afterwards, Sarah told me that Way went to a business trip in Japan with the

director of the secretary department. Suddenly, I understood. How could he

remember his buddy calls since there was a belle beside him?

Even though that was a truth, I was still out of my sorts when I realized that

Wayne was now drinking wine and tangling up with the belle.

Sometimes, I did not understand, Wayne tangled with me since I hurt his pride or

something else.

Why he did not contact with me even a little if he got feelings on me or liked me?

Perhaps, he was similar with other men, 3-minutes passion. He was only

interested with my body. When the passion was gone and there was another

woman beside him, I became an abandoned loved one.

Fortunately, the intensity of job and busy works made me forgetting Wayne

quickly.

However, there was one thing made me could not cry nor laugh. The rumors

were spreading fast in the Secretary department these days! That was because I

got absolutely no chance to join the company by my age and experiences. Even

the trainees were graduates from famous universities. But as for me, I was

definitely unqualified. Maybe I could not even pass the first trial let alone the final

trial!

People turned their attention to my appearance instantly. Even the cleaners

thought that I was here since the unspoken rule that I was slept by a high rank

powerful man of the company!

In a short two days, the rumor about that I was messing with some directors or

slept by some managers was gossiping all over the company.

I smiled and did not pay attention to it.

One day, I was just off duty and got a call from Merlin.

"Hey, Merlin."

"Lydia... Are you busy now?"

It was quiet for a long time on the other side of the phone. Then a weak soft

voice of Merlin came through. I frowned and put my ear near the phone," Merlin,

what's wrong?"
