Dream.

Two days later, Zhen Zhen was still unconscious. Yue Gu Zai didn’t care if they couldn’t keep their baby. He only wanted Zhen Zhen to wake up.

Bai Yu Tian was worried for Zhen Zhen and Yue Gu Zai. Yue Gu Zai only talked to ask about Zhen Zhen’s condition.

William Hill was worried about Zhen Zhen and Yue Gu Zai too. He would stop by their bedroom after work to see if Zhen Zhen was awake, but he didn’t disturb them.

William Hill received a phone call from Henry Charles. He quickly drove to the Charles Mansion.

‘William Hill, Helen locked herself in her room for two days,’ Henry Charles said. ‘She won’t let anyone inside. You’re my last hope.’

William Hill knocked on Helen’s bedroom door.

‘Go away,’ Helen said. ‘I said I don’t want to see anyone.’

‘Helen, it’s me,’ William Hill said.

William Hill waited for three minutes before Helen opened the door.

‘What are you doing here?’ Helen asked coldly.

Everything in Helen’s room was broken except for the bed. She kept the bedsheet he bought her a year ago.

‘You’re an expert at breaking things,’ William Hill joked.

‘If you’re here to mock me then you can leave,’ Helen said.

Helen sat on the window seat, and she looked outside the window.

William Hill sat on the bed, and he hesitated to open his mouth.

‘Helen, how long do you intend to stay angry?’ William Hill asked.

‘I don’t need your concern,’ Helen said.

‘Why are you hurting yourself and the people who love you?’ William Hill asked.

‘Love?’ Helen asked. ‘Who loves me? No one loves me. I’ve been living a lie for more than twenty years. I deluded myself that I’m living a happy life. I’m a bastard child. My biological father used me as a hostage. My life is a joke.’

‘Do you think Henry Charles love for you is fake?’ William Hill asked. ‘Yes, he hid the truth from you. Have you asked yourself why he didn’t want you to find out? Because he didn’t want you to be hurting like this. Do you think hurting him will take away your pain?’

William Hill stood, and he turned around to leave.

Helen ran to William Hill and she hugged him from behind.

‘William Hill… don’t leave me,’ Helen said softly. ‘I know what I need to do.’

William Hill loved Helen like she was his little sister. He turned around and hugged her.

‘Let yourself cry and you’ll feel better,’ William Hill said.

Helen couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and she cried.

William Hill stayed with Helen until she fell asleep.

After William Hill closed Helen’s bedroom door, he went to say bye to Henry Charles.

‘Helen is sleeping,’ William Hill said.

‘Thank you William Hill,’ Henry Charles said. ‘Helen truly loves you. If you’re with her, I don’t need to worry about her.’

‘You know I see Helen as a little sister,’ William Hill said.

‘I won’t mention it again,’ Henry Charles said. ‘Do you want to stay for dinner?’

‘I can’t stay for dinner,’ William Hill said.

William Hill returned to Ni Sheng’s headquarters to see if Zhen Zhen was awake.

In the bedroom, Yue Gu Zai held Zhen Zhen’s hand and he forced himself to stay awake.

‘How is she?’ William Hill asked.

‘Her fever is gone,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘Bai Yu Tian believes she doesn’t want to wake up.’

‘Boss, Mr Luo Fan is here,’ Cheng Yi said. ‘He’s the best oneirologist. He can help you enter your wife’s dream.’

‘Phil, do you need to do something dangerous like this?’ William Hill asked.

‘Yes,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘It’s my last chance to get Zhen Zhen to wake up.’

‘Only one person can enter Mrs Yue’s dream,’ Luo Fan said. ‘If after ten minutes that person can’t convince Mrs Yue to wake up then that person will be trapped in her dream forever.’

‘Phil, it’s too dangerous,’ William Hill said.

‘I’ll do it,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Mr Yue, when do you want to begin?’ Luo Fan asked.

‘Now,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Mr Luo Fan, what do you need us to prepare?’ Cheng Yi asked.

‘I need this room to be peaceful,’ Luo Fan said. ‘Don’t let anyone disturb me during the ten minutes Mr Yue is in Mrs Yue’s dream.’

‘I’ll stay in here and guard,’ William Hill said.

‘I’ll order the guards not to let anyone in here,’ Cheng Yi said.

Yue Gu Zai laid next to Zhen Zhen, and he held her hand.

‘Mr Yue, relax your body,’ Mr Luo Fan said.

Luo Fan injected a drug into Yue Gu Zai’s arm.

Yue Gu Zai closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he was inside Zhen Zhen’s dream. He saw an adorable chubby little girl sitting in a corner, it was Zhen Zhen.

‘Who are you?’ Zhen Zhen asked. ‘What are you doing here?’

Yue Gu Zai sat next to Zhen Zhen.

‘I’m here to find someone,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘I need you to open the door.’

‘I’m not going to open the door,’ Zhen Zhen said.

‘Why are you sitting here?’ Yue Gu Zai asked.

‘They don’t want to play with me,’ Zhen Zhen said. ‘They said that I’m a book worm. Only book worms always rank first.’

‘Who are they?’ Yue Gu Zai asked.

‘Big brother and big sister,’ Zhen Zhen said.

Yue Gu Zai didn’t know what Zhen Zhen had to go through at a young age. She was a genius little girl who was smarter than her older classmates. Her classmates must have been jealous of her, and made her an outcast.

Yue Gu Zai rubbed Zhen Zhen’s head.

‘Zhen Zhen, there is someone who loves you,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Really?’ Zhen Zhen asked.

‘Yes,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Liar,’ Zhen Zhen said. ‘Mei Tu sent you here. You want to pretend you’re my friend and get me to trust you. Then you’ll steal my experiments and tell the professors I’m a cheater. I don’t believe you.’

Yue Gu Zai hugged Zhen Zhen.

‘Zhen Zhen, even if the world lies to you, I promise I won’t lie to you,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

Zhen Zhen didn’t know if Yue Gu Zai was being honest with her. But she let him hug her, and she cried.

The door opened. Behind the door was a photo of Reynold.

‘I killed Reynold,’ Zhen Zhen said. ‘It’s my fault Reynold died.’

‘Zhen Zhen, look at me,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘It’s me, Gu Zai. Reynold is dead. It’s not your fault.’

‘I don’t want to hear Reynold died,’ Zhen Zhen said. ‘He’s alive.’

‘Zhen Zhen, Reynold saved you because he wanted you to live a happy life,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘He doesn’t want you to trap yourself. Zhen Zhen, think about your parents, our son and our baby in your stomach. Do you want to turn your back on all of us?’

‘Our son and our baby?’ Zhen Zhen asked.

‘Mr Yue, you’re running out of time,’ Luo Fan whispered in Yue Gu Zai’s ear.

‘What happens if I leave now?’ Yue Gu Zai asked.

‘Mrs Yue has a ten percent chance of waking up on her own,’ Luo Fan said.

‘I’m staying,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Gu Zai…’ Zhen Zhen called.

‘Zhen Zhen, it’s me,’ Yue Gu Zai said.

‘Gu Zai, I killed Reynold,’ Zhen Zhen said.

‘Zhen Zhen, don’t cry,’ Yue Gu Zai said. ‘We can’t bring Reynold back to life. We still have our baby to think about. We can’t let our baby die too. Zhen Zhen, let’s go outside together.’

‘Phil, wake up,’ William Hill said. ‘You can’t die.’

‘Boss, wake up,’ Cheng Yi said. ‘Ni Sheng needs you.’
