C30 – Ambition

He was just an average-looking young man, but he was the brother of the Head Master. And he had taken down the fugitive Grandmaster Pei Sheng with a single punch.

He was the Perfection Stage Grandmaster that Baldy Ji had referred to, boasting a combat value of 600,000. His prowess could rival that of the Head Master himself.

Even someone as composed as Zheng Xiaoyue was taken aback, and the others were no different.

The university principal and the rest were on their knees, pleading for mercy, their clothing drenched in sweat.

Pei Yu approached the principal with a soft look in his eyes and asked, “As the principal of Martial Arts University and a Third Grade early-stage martial arts expert, why do you fear me?”

His voice was soothing, yet it only heightened the principal’s fear. Shaking uncontrollably, the principal stuttered, “Senior, the blame is mine. I deserve death. Please, have mercy on me.”

Pei Yu’s words left the principal with nowhere to hide, the deceptive calm before a tempest.

“You’ve already admitted deserving death. If I were to let you go, wouldn’t that be defying your wishes?” Pei Yu chuckled, “As the principal, I can’t very well go against your command, can I? How else could I do right by you?”

“Today’s events are not worth my argument. You lack even the privilege to meet my gaze,” Pei Yu stated.

He then slowly drove off.

Zheng Xiaoyue and the rest were left shaken, even she felt the imposing authority of a Perfection Stage Grandmaster.

But Pei Yu chose not to hold them accountable. Otherwise, the principal might not have survived.

“You’re merely the principal of Martial Arts University. How could you dare to cross Pei Yu? As of today, you are no longer in that position.”

Zheng Xiaoyue stepped up to the principal and rebuked him sharply before they all departed.

In the aftermath, the principal lay on the ground, writhing in agony. Everyone watched him and Mr. Jiang with unsettled souls, and then collectively exhaled in relief.

They were fortunate the Grandmaster had restrained himself. If not, their lives would have been at risk.

Mr. Jiang was consumed by remorse. Had he treated Pei Yu as he had before, he might have soared to great heights.

Now, he nearly despised himself.

It was clear to all that Pei Yu, once scorned, was on the verge of a remarkable ascent.
