Chapter 210 - Guarded Her By Her Side

Sheng Yang could enter Yi Juncheng’s house easily. She found the facial recognition lock quite convenient.

Holding a tray, she just needed to open the lock with her face.

After entering, Sheng Yang saw Yi Juncheng first then she habitually glanced around, asking “Where is Gao Feng?”

It was strange. Gao Feng always stood watch over Yi Juncheng usually. Where was he today?

Yi Juncheng’s eyes suddenly became a bit dangerous. “What do you so care about him?”

“He’s usually with you, so I wondered why he isn’t here today.”

Yi Juancheng smiled. So she asked about Gao Feng because she was concerned about him.

Gao Feng was his guard. If Gao Feng wasn’t around, it might mean that he was in danger.

“Oh, he went to Africa…” Yi Juancheng kept his word and gave Gao Feng a ticket to Africa. Before Gao Feng left, he cried like a baby. “Young Master, I can’t bear to leave you. What if those people come at you again when I’m not around?”

No matter what he said, however, Yi Juancheng still sent him away.

Sheng Yang shrugged, feeling sorry for Gao Feng. Africa…

At this moment, a man came over with coffee. He was a man in his forties, looking older and more mature than Gao Feng.

“Gao Feng isn’t going to be around, so Qing Long will temporarily perform his duties,” Yi Juncheng said casually.

Sheng Yang glanced at the man, took a sip of coffee, and looked at him again.

She had to say that this man made coffee much better than Gao Feng did.

Sheng Yang suddenly thought of something and pointed to the tray on the table. “By the way, my mother asked me to bring these to you.”

Two bowls of dessert—one was bird’s nest in crystal sugar and the other was Chinese wolfberry and American ginseng soup.

Obviously, the latter was prepared for him.

Yi Juncheng picked up a bowl and took a mouthful. He looked so elegant and pleasing to the eye when he was eating. After a while, he smiled and said, “Please tell Auntie that I like this soup very much. It’s so tasty.”

Sweet in his mouth, sweeter in his heart.

“OK.” the corners of Sheng Yang’s mouth twitched. Do his taste buds work? That ginseng soup doesn’t look “tasty” at all.

“By the way, what about those chemical reagents?” Sheng Yang couldn’t wait to ask.

“Follow me.” Yi Juncheng stood up.

Qing Long had been standing silently without any expression on his wrinkled face. He watched them walking away with his old eyes.

After entering a room, Sheng Yang glanced around and couldn’t tell this was a chemical laboratory at all.

Then something occurred to her and she turned to look at Yi Juncheng. “Is this a secret room?”

Yi Juncheng folded his arms, leaned lazily on a bookshelf, and nodded with a smile.

Sheng Yang immediately became interested. “Let me tackle it.”

Yi Juncheng smiled, looked down at the watch, and timed her.

His secret room had a lot of traps. Sheng Yang studied the clues and solved many roadblocks along the way before she finally opened the secret room.

Yi Juncheng glanced at the time. “Nine minutes and fifty-one seconds. That’s already very fast.”

Sheng Yang wasn’t so happy and pouted. “I thought I could do it within eight minutes. I failed.”

Yi Juancheng’s eyes flickered and his heart did a flip. Did she only show this charming and cute side in front of him? Otherwise… he would really want to hide and keep her for himself.

They went down the secret tunnel behind the bookcase. As soon as they entered, the door closed automatically. The stairs were extremely long and the lights were very dim.

Afraid of Sheng Yang falling, Yi Juncheng didn’t hold her hand but carefully stood by her side.
