After school, Jiang Yu and Jiang Wan went back to the Jiang family villa.
They spotted a pair of men’s leather shoes at the foot of the door upon entering. “Ah, Big Brother is home!” Jiang Wan exclaimed.
She quickly changed her shoes and bounced into the house. As she ran, she called out, “Big Brother! Is it really you? Are you home?”
Jiang Wan was not looking where she was going and almost ran straight into the arms of a man.
The man was standing in the living room wearing a white shirt. His hair was neat and tidy, he exuded a steady and capable aura.
He seemed to just be unbuttoning the collar of his shirt when he hurriedly caught Jiang Wan who practically ran into his arms.
Jiang Cheng Lang held her. Although his choice of words was harsh, his tone was soft, “You’re already a big girl and yet you’re still so reckless.”
Jiang Wan stuck out her tongue at him. “I am just excited to see you’re back. You’ve been away on business for so long.”
She counted with her fingers. “It’s been two weeks. That’s fourteen days! I missed you so much. Didn’t you miss me?”
“I did,” Jiang Cheng Lang. “I bought you a gift.”
“Big Brother always treats me well!” Jiang Wan cheered. “Where is it? Is it at the same place? I can’t wait to see it!”
“Walk carefully. There’s no rush.”
Jiang Wan paid him no heed and was running towards her room in anticipation.
As expected, Jiang Wan still acted like a little child. Jiang Cheng Lang shook his head in amusement. He turned his head around and saw Jiang Yu standing nearby.
The girl had a head of long, dark hair. Her bangs covered her eyes.
She had her arms crossed and was leaning against the wall. Her face was cold and stony. She looked like one of the help, simply observing as the siblings played with each other.
Jiang Cheng Lang frowned slightly.
Before he had Jiang Yu brought back to the family home, he had looked into her of course.
According to the information he had received, this sister was an introvert and a social recluse. She did not have many friends in school, had poor grades, and did not possess any skills worth mentioning. In school, she was just a wallflower. If she was in a crowd, you might not even notice she was there.
That didn’t matter though. Even as useless as she was, with the Jiang family wealth and power, she would be able to live a carefree life without lifting a finger. She will never have to worry about food or clothes for the rest of her life.
Finding his younger sister was his mother’s greatest wish when she was alive. As the eldest son, he felt like it was his obligation to fulfill his mother’s dying wish, to find his long lost sister and bring her home to the family.

Jiang Cheng Lang spared no effort in searching for his sister for many long years. Finally, he found her. The DNA test confirmed that she was his sister.
Even though Jiang Cheng Lang was out of town at that time, he immediately arranged for someone to bring her back home. There was a lot of red tape to go through but as a member of the Jiang family, everything was resolved quickly.
He would have returned home sooner but work had delayed him.
Jiang Cheng Lang had imagined in his head over and over again, what it would be like to meet his long lost sister. He still felt a little awkward.
Other than Jiang Wan, he did not interact with any other little girls. He could only think to introduce himself. “Hello, Jiang Yu. I am Jiang Cheng Lang, your Big Brother.”
“Hello,” replied Jiang Yu.
Jiang Cheng Lang was a stranger to her. She could not call him Big Brother as easily as Jiang Wan could.
The atmosphere was awkward and tense.
Fortunately, Jiang Cheng Lang knew that she was an introvert and thus did not force it on her to be friendly on their first meeting.
“I bought you a gift too. I left it in your room. Go ahead and take a look at it. I don’t know what you like so I bought something I thought was nice. I hope you don’t mind.”
“Thank you,” Jiang Yu said politely.
Although she was an introvert, his sister was quite polite. Jiang Cheng Lang felt a little better about the situation.
Jiang Wan, who had finished opening her present, came running back cheerfully. “Wow, Big Brother! Were you feeling very generous this time around? This item must have cost you a fortune!”
