Chapter 203 God King & The Creator

The water flew back up. The dark colors filled the space and Lee Seng's mind flooded with the memories.

"Exterminate the Protocol at all costs!" The God King's voice shouted. His body was light and began to fuse with Keng's light. Lee Seng watched as the dark waters became light. The water was replaying the exact moment he and Keng had paired.

"You do not belong here." Lee Seng and Keng's fused voices spoke. Lee Seng watched as he lifted his hand a bright shot of light smashed through the black mist. The soul abyss world began to glow white with red and blue streaks.

"Exterminate the Protocol at all costs," the God King's voice echoed, again. Lee Seng looked up and noticed the silhouette of the God King standing on the lake. "Do not trust the Creator." The scene removed itself. The water dropped back down and became bright blue again. Lee Seng could feel his chest rumbling with energy.

"Just as my children have said, the Creator took one of my many children and attempted to experiment on it." The God King began. Lee Seng lifted his head up to witness Dathro swirling his cup. One of the foxes next to him pranced away. "Eshra was making his way through your Realm. It happened during the early ages of your world's transformation. Eshra was sent to figure out why the energies of your Realm were changing. Before Eshra could come back, he was captured."

The fox pranced back shifting into her humanoid form. She wore a white dress and held a pitcher in her hands. She bowed as she poured a shimmering liquid into the cup. The God King raised his hand and she stopped, bowed and walked away, again.

"When was this?" Lee Seng asked. Zixin glared at Lee Seng and then Keng.

"Time works so differently from this Realm to the other. It was about ten full cycles here." The God King answered.

"That would be about eighteen years in your time." Nabi answered. Lee Seng looked behind and nodded.

"Eighteen years ago…" Lee Seng muttered. Keng turned to face his companion.

"Anything ring about that day?" Keng asked.

"Your majesty," Lee Seng looked up. "I've heard about something happening eighteen years ago, but I'm not quite sure what happened. A project the Creator was gonna do escaped somehow and vanished without a trace."

"Exactly." The God King nodded. "When Eshra didn't come back at the allotted time, the eldest of my children requested to search for him."

"Chimera." Keng whispered.

"Mmm, it seems Keng has knowledge about his older siblings." The God King nodded. "Chimera went to the Earth Realm and found Eshra trapped in the Creator's lab. When Chimera saw this, their fury led them to get Eshra out."

"Chimera would've gotten revenge if it weren't for Eshra hushing Chimera." Zixin added.

"But Eshra's patient and forgiving nature convinced their older sibling to fall back before real damage was done." God King continued. "When Eshra came back, he told the family what had transpired. The human known as Vang Chang or the Creator, had taken some blood samples and was confused on what Eshra was. I've kept tabs on the Creator and noticed he created some sort of specific serum based on it."

"An untested Biohuman serum…?" Lee Seng whispered.

"Which I have to believe might show itself soon. I kept my children's eyes on the Creator's family, "Numbers," and workers. None showed any signs of that serum. When I met you that day, it was because one of my children had told me something was happening to you."

"What happened, Father?" Keng asked.

"Lee Seng was starting to mimic the way of the foxes within his system." Dathro announced. Lee Seng's blood felt like it was freezing. He looked at his hands.

"More specifically," Nabi spoke. Lee Seng turned to look at the elegant fox woman. She had her yellow eyes on him and pointed her beautiful finger at him. "Your body was mutating itself."

"M-m-mutating what?" Lee Seng stuttered. "W-w-what do you mean? I-I didn't have Biohuman powers then. I have some now because of th-the contract."

"I simply gave you what your body lacked." God King Dathro told the boy. "Your body mutated it into that energy you use."

"S-so yo-you think I have the se-serum in me?" Lee Seng pointed at himself. The God King nodded.

"Mutation is one of Eshra's abilities. That's why when I gave you energy and gave you Keng, your body mutated the flood of energy and turned it into a power. Eshra's mutation ability could mutate and change abilities and even give new abilities. That slim chance resulted in the powers you have now."

"What're you gonna do with him, Father?" Nabi asked. "He has one of the rarest abilities amongst the Fox spirits."

"I want you to make a decision, Lee Seng. Which side will you choose?" God King Dathro asked. Lee Seng bit his lip.

'I don't like the Creator and want to live my life, but… if I had powers already, then…' Lee Seng trailed off in his thoughts. Keng turned as Lee Seng sighed. He squatted and rubbed his hair. The heat here was scorching and he wondered how long he would be here for.

"You don't need to make a decision now, child." God King Dathro spoke. "One day, you will have to make the choice. And when you make that choice, I'll know. For now, let's leave this topic and move onto the next one."

"The… next one?" Keng and Lee Seng muttered. Dathro nodded. He motioned towards the boys and two humanoid Fox spirits moved over and handed the two of them clothes.

"These clothes will bind themselves to you even if you shapeshift. It would be good for Keng to clothe himself when he takes his humanoid appearance and the set for Lee Seng while he's here. It will keep you cool from the twin suns and while you handle the last set of tasks here." God King Dathro explained.

"What tasks?" Lee Seng asked.

"Nabi and Zixin will have to inform you on that. I must attend to some business." Dathro stood up. Lee Seng turned to look at Nabi and Zixin and realized they were bowing. Lee seng quickly started to bow. "Nabi, Zixin. Don't tease your younger brothers too much. Take them to the village and get them through their tasks so they can go home."

"Yes, God King." Nabi and Zixin both answered. They all bowed until God King Dathro left with his servants. Zixin cleared his throat and looked at his young brothers who were slowly raising their heads.

"Put those on and let's go." Zixin instructed. Lee Seng looked at the clothes. It felt like it was made of silk and reminded him of a kimono and a hanbok. He slipped on the large clothing and instantly felt cooler. He slipped on the pants and nodded in surprise.

'It is cooler with these on…' Lee Seng thought as he looked up at Keng, who was already slipping on the outfit.

"Not half bad." Nabi commented. She appeared right beside Lee Seng, checking him out with curious eyes. Her tails were white like his but had yellow streaks going through it. She moved over and began to fix Lee Seng's outfit. "You're supposed to wear it like this." She fixed the outfit and took a step back and nodded. "There, you look good now."

"Come on, you didn't get it rightt!" Zixin shouted at Keng. Keng stood awkwardly in place as Zixin furiously tried to fix it. Zixin and Nabi's outfits were similar to Lee Seng and Keng's. Zixin somehow kept the top more open than the rest of his outfit and had cut sleeves instead of the traditional sleeves.

"Zixin, you're just trying to make it like yours." Nabi wandered over to Keng.

"We have to do it like this or else nobody's gonna tell the difference between the two of them!"

"Their hair colors set them apart already." Nabi moved Zixin out of the way and adjusted Keng's outfit. "To think our youngest brothers got their shape shifting ability so early. Usually when Father calls for the newest twin-tailed, most decide against shapeshifting and focus on power." Nabi finished and nodded in satisfaction and stepped backwards to stand next to Zixin.

"Well…" Lee Seng spoke. "It's not like we had a choice, then."

"You didn't have a choice?" Nabi looked at Lee Seng and then back at Keng.

"He took too many souls and…" Keng's voice trailed off.

"Ah, that's why." Nabi nodded.

"You didn't tell him this?" Zixin snorted. "I guess we have to watch you two closer then."

"Don't taunt our brothers like that." Nabi folded her arms together. Her tails were clumped into a single tail that swayed quietly behind her. Even with Lee Seng's enhanced hearing, he couldn't hear movement from it. "Let's take them to the village. The others will want to see them."
