Chapter 278 The Rock Monster

Name:Biohuman Author:
The ground shook as Lee Seng followed Halys and the others towards the ping Group 3-3 sent out. Large boulders scattered about as trees were destroyed and scattered.

'What the hell did th–'

A boulder flew straight for them. The ground rumbled underneath them. Large stalagmites flew up from the ground as the boulder came closer. The group scattered as Halys' body flew straight through the boulder, smashing it to bits like it was nothing. Lee Seng slid to the side as he turned to stare at the large piles of rock towering in the sky.

"You gotta be kidding me." Lee Seng complained. His eyes instantly told him this was what the Conqueror curse turned into. The ground shook beneath him, he could hear people panicking as they started to move. The stalagmites flew out beneath him as he blasted himself off to the side. Lee Seng rolled as he could hear panicked voices trying to work together.

"Kid, you alright?" Vedi asked, grabbing Lee Seng and stopping the momentum of his tumble. Vedi was already looking at the huge creature.

"What's that?" Lee Seng asked as he pulled away from Vedi, standing.

"A huge golem… I haven't seen one of these in years." Vedi told him. "It's not small like the other golems. This one's…"

"Big."

"And is hurting actual people. I wonder what the curse did to this one." Vedi wondered.

"You two!" Halys shouted ,waving at them. "Come here!" Lee Seng and Vedi ran towards Halys. They moved closer to the huge rock golem. The golem turned, slightly, giving Lee Seng and the others a small glimpse of the huge purple energy pouring out of its chest.

"The curse!" Vedi pointed. "Is that it?"

"That's it." Lee Seng nodded as they both stopped near Halys, Ysa, and Victoria. The ground around them was starting to rumble again. Halys was covered in nature. The stalagmites seemingly missed them with ease as he turned to face the group.

"We need to get Lee Seng up there." Halys pointed at the golem. "Though I think that might be a huge problem. That golem is really tall and it seems like anyone who gets too close to it, meets the other rock monsters and high walls."

"So, what do we do then?" Ysa asked. Halys tapped his halo. He could hear people in the background. He cleared his throat and looked at the golem.

"Everyone, we need to work together to ensure the Savior gets to the chest of the golem!" Halys told them all. "Melee fighters, see how close you can get. I want details on what stops you from proceeding. Flyers, especially, you guys try to get close to it. Ranged combatants, take out the small fry while also trying to find an opening on the golem! Supports, help the others to make sure they're not getting hit by the stalagmites and boulders."

"Sir!" The voices poured in.

"Now, let's try this, shall we?" Halys turned and looked at the group.

"General Halys!" A white haired Fox waved from above.

"Kirin! I thought you didn't want to come!" Halys shouted.

"The others told me your troupe was coming so I tagged along!"

"Good!" Halys thumbs up. "Blast the damn golem!"

"You sure? Is it safe?!?"

"Just do it!" Halys nodded. A huge boulder flew straight for Kirin. Ysa yelped pulling Kirin's attention back to what's in front of him. A beam of condensed energy flew out of Kirin's body, disintegrating the boulder like nothing. Kirin, the eight-tailed Fox, lifted his hands and looked down at the group.

"Get ready!" Kirin shouted.

"Let's go." Halys ordered.

"Sir!" The group followed after Halys. Halys and Vedi took the front. Lee Seng followed behind them with Ysa and Victoria behind. Yellow energy flew into Lee Seng. He could feel the energy boosting his capabilities.

"This should be enough to get you up there!" Ysa shouted. Waves of water crashed into lone rock monsters as Halys forced stalagmites away from them. Shadows pulled into Vedi. His form started to flicker as he moved forward.

"I'll clear the creeps in front of us. General, you'll have to deal with the walls." vedi's distorted voice spoke.

"Go." Halys nodded. Vedi pushed forward, slashing a large arc of shadows in front of him. The shadows flew, slashing the whole field. The shadows seemingly moved past the allies with ease.

'It didn't hit any of the others.' Lee Seng noticed.

"Ready, kid?" Halys shouted.

"Y-yeah!" Lee Seng shouted. Halys leapt forward and slammed his feet to the ground, punching the air with both of his fists at the wall. The earth wall crumbled as Lee Seng jumped over Halys. He landed fifteen feet in front of Halys, bending his legs down. He could feel his muscles expanding as the energy climaxed. He leapt upwards, the ground ripping away at the sheer force of his jump.

Lee Seng upwards at an alarming rate. Panic creeped into his head as he started to doubt if it would be enough. He passed the legs with ease, climbing to the abdomen area. He skyrocketed past the purple opening. The golem began to move its arm to swing at Lee Seng. Lee Seng slowly came to a stop, arcing towards the golem's face. A beam of condensed energy shot through the golem's arm, shattering it to pieces.

"Go!" Kirin shouted. Lee Seng fell straight for the opening in its chest.

"Shit, I'm not gonna make it!" Lee Seng started to fully panic. He threw his hands towards the opening. Dark Matter flew out, latching themselves into the golem, as he fell. His screams grew loud as he continued to fall. "Dammit!" He began to curse as he fell past the waist of the golem. The strings of Dark Matter attached to the golem suddenly tightened, making Lee Seng come to a stop.

"Oh shit." Lee Seng muttered as he shot straight back up towards the chest. The golem's body shook as stalagmites started to fly out of it. Blast of different types of abilities flew out, destroying the stalagmites as Lee Seng continued to pull closer to the chest. The Dark Matter swung him straight into the chest, releasing as he dropped into the abyss.

Lee Seng listened to the quiet snap of the Dark Matter reentering the suit as he looked around.

"How does this even work?" Lee Seng asked. Purple humanoid shadows started to appear all around him. "I guess I can theorize later. I got a job to do." The golem and the shadow monsters began to scream. The shadows ran at him. Lee Seng's golden aura lit up as he began to dodge and weave the attacks.

The first couple of shadows flew past him, Lee Seng quickly throwing a fist into one of them. He pulled back, feeling the cursed energy immediately vanish as he continued to dodge the rest. Shadows swung at him, connecting. Lee Seng could feel the cursed energy seeping into his body as his golden aura immediately started to disintegrate the shadows.

"You can still inflict damage onto me?" Lee Seng jumped away from the monsters. "This is such a pain in the ass!" Dark Matter lashed off his body, tendrils turning into pointed bladed edges as he stared at the shadows. They screamed at him and rushed him. Lee Seng could feel the tendrils lashing out as he ran towards them. The Dark Matter blades flew straight into the shadows.

Gold and black energy disintegrated the weak shadows as Lee Seng redirected his attention to the huge core.

"I guess you'll take care of that while I deal with this." Lee Seng spoke to the bladed Dark Matter tendrils. He touched the core and felt the immense curse energy. He grunted as he forced his aura into it. The Dark Matter bladed tendrils grew smaller as he pushed his aura into it.

"Argh!" Lee Seng grunted as the cursed energy pushed back at him. He forced himself back onto the core. "C'mon!" Lee Seng pushed himself onto the orb. If he could get enough of his aura into it, maybe he could purify it faster. Shadows swarmed him and grabbed at him, pulling him away. The sharp bladed tendrils quickly came back, piercing the shadows as LEe Seng pushed himself back into the orb.

"Come on, dammit!" Lee Seng shouted. "Let! Me! In!" The core room grew bright as Lee Seng felt himself push the core. The light quickly died and Lee Seng found himself floating. "What the…?" Lee Seng's voice echoed as he turned around. The black-purple energy swarmed around him, whispering.

Lee Seng could feel his aura flickering in the dark space. He spun around, noticing clumps of glowing purple energy were starting to fire at him. Lee Seng threw his arms up, feeling the energy slam into him. It began to barrage him with attacks as he struggled to grow his aura. The curse seeped into him, eating at his energy as he continued to flicker.

'No…!' Lee Seng thought. 'I'm going to die and I don't even know what I did…?'
