"Let me go, Gorrum! I command you!" Jyu'so shouted. Gorrum held Jyu'so as they appeared about fifty feet from the gates of Dat'e. Jyu'so swung and Gorrum released his hold on his master as he landed on the ground.
"Elder, I'm doing this for our best interest." Gorrum defended himself. "We need to make sure that the Silver one doesn't call us an enemy of the Saviors. You know how much power they have."
"Like I care! That boy deserves to be punished, severely, for talking back to me like that! And you!" Jyu'so pointed his finger up at Gorrum. "How dare you stop me! I am ranks above you!"
"Sir, I know your condition well. You are not yourself. We should talk with Lady Vix'i before–"
A wave of shadows flew out a Gorrum forcing him backwards. Gorrum slid backwards as Jyu'so flew at him. A yellow shield flew up as Gorrum threw his arm out to protect him. Jyu'so slammed his shadowy fists into the shield, watching as it pulsed.
,m "Sir, you need to stop it now! You're not yourself!" Gorrum shouted. Jyu'so barraged the shield as Gorrum continued to slide backwards. The short Elder was going to cause a huge ruckus. The ground shook with each blast, cracking as Gorrum continued to take the attacks.
"Stop? No! I feel just fine!" Jyu'so's right hand turned into pure darkness. A large arm appeared as he swung at Gorrum's shield. The shield shattered forcing Gorrum to dodge the attack.
"Sir, I don't want to detain you! Don't make me do this for your own good!" Gorrum shouted. Jyu'so's other arm billowed in darkness, another large shadow arm appearing as Jyu'so continued in his path of destruction. The ground erupted in smoke and shards as Gorrum continued to dodge backwards.
Elder Jyu'so wasn't letting up on the attacks and Gorrum's worry slowly faded as he pulled Jyu'so away from the village.
'This is far enough.' Gorrum acknowledged. 'Nightbane to me.' The Blood Scimitars of Asura flashed into Gorrum's hands. Jyu'so instantly moved backwards, raising his hands to block the heat rushing out of Gorrum.
"You think god weapons will make a difference on me? I've won against those who've wielded god weapons!" Jyu'so spat. "I guess you've gone too long without a proper beating. I'll punish you for thinking of such a thing."
"What makes you think I'm trying to fight you with these?" Gorrum asked. "Can you feel it, Elder? Or has your senses dulled?" Jyu'so's eyes widened.
"You couldn't have…" Jyu'so shook his head. He rushed at Gorrum. Shadows pulled all around them and shot straight for Gorrum.
"God Weapon Art: Feudal Rage!" Blood spewed out of the the blades igniting around him in a flash as shadows crashed into him. The bloody flames spun rapidly around him, slashing and eating at the shadows with ease. Jyu'so shot out behind him and swung. His shadow arms grew bigger and slammed into the ground. Smoke billowed out as Jyu'so's eyes carefully watched.
"You think you can fool me, Gorrum? I'm the one who taught you that trick." Jyu'so spoke. "You'll perish if you do that! Shadow Art: Marionette Nightmare!" Shadowy figures of marionettes rushed out of the shadows and rushed at the large fist as it began to shrink.
"Enough!" Lady Vix'I's voice boomed out. A wave of cosmic energy demolished the marionettes with ease as three people landed around Gorrum. "Stop this fight now, brother."
"Sister! You dare interefere!"
"You dare defy my order, brother?" Lady Vix'I raised her eyebrow at him. "I don't want a mess."
"A mess?!? You're in my way!" Shadows launched themselves in all directions, aiming straight for Vix'I.
"Lady Vix'I!" Nabi and Zixin shouted. Lady Vix'I watched, unamused, as the shadows flew straight for her. Without a single move, the shadows dissipated. Zixin, Nabi and Gorrum could feel the immense energy oozing out of the Lady.
"Sleep, brother." Lady Vix'I commanded. Nabi, Zixin, and Gorrum's eyes grew wide. They could feel the commandment starting to put them asleep when Jyu'so fell to the ground with a loud thud. "Grab him and take him back with me." Lady Vix'I motioned at Zixin and Nabi.
"Yes, m'lady!" Nabi and Zixin saluted. They ran off as Lady Vix'I laid her eyes onto the wounded Gorrum.
"It seems even after all those years training under him, you still haven't best him, yet." Lady Vix'I shook her head.
"If I had done more, Dat'e would've exploded from my full power. I can't do that to the holy village." Gorrum pushed himself up, using his weight on Nightbane to stand.
"You did well to alert me." Lady Vix'I moved towards Gorrum and touched him. "Cosmic Art: Star of Regeneration." She watched as the cosmic sky spread across Gorrum and started to heal him. "How long has it been since he's been near the Light?"
"I don't know, Lady Vix'I. I just know it's been awhile. His behavior has been quickly changing while he's been with me and the children." Gorrum reported. Lady Vix'I nodded and pulled away. The cosmic energy faded and Gorrum released Nightbane from his grasp.
"Let's take him the top of the tower. We'll have to point the glass eye at the Light and let him bathe in it for quite awhile." Lady Vix'I ordered. Gorrum waited for Lady Vix'I to lead the way and joined her at her side.
"M'lady, I know it is my duty to make sure his darkness doesn't consume him, but I must return to the children. They have witnessed him go berserk. He wanted to kill the Silver one."
"Stay with me for now, Gorrum. Keng and Lily are together, no? They should be fine without your supervision on their training. Your duty is to make sure my brother's darkness is expelled by the Light of the Moon. Once that has happened, we can discuss Keng and Lily, understand?"
"Y-yes, m'lady…"
It didn't take them long to return to the tower. Lady Vix'I lead the way, climbing al lthe way to the top and opening an older door with intricate runes on it. Nabi and Zixin had heard about this door and seen it, but they were never allowed in.
"Zixin. Nabi." Lady Vix'I turned her head to look down at her two pupils. "Today's the day you learn about this door." She lifted her hand and touched the door. The runes began to light up and the sound of the door unlocking was heard. The door opened and she walked inside.
The room was at the top of the tower. The Crystallium top floor had nothing in it. Crystal lights lit up as Lady Vix'I stepped in and runic writing was written everywhere. The rooftop seemed to be some metal contraption. Gorrum moved to the side as Nabi and Zixin entered.
"Put him there." Lady Vix'I pointed at the middle. There was a large circle that had a opening above it. Zixin and Nabi set down the Elder and looked around. Lady Vix'I moved to the wall and started to write on it. The roof contraption shifted and started to spin.
"What is this place, m'lady?" Nabi asked, curiously.
"A room which amplies Nature energy and expels complicated matters such as the one with my brother." Lady Vix'I answered. She turned around and looked at the three very well experienced Foxes. "This was originally made in mind for my brother's… Ailment, you could call it. The reason why I told you to never comee up here is because it's only meant for the cursed."
"Cursed?" Zixin glanced at Elder Jyu'so.
"Yes." Lady Vix'I nodded. "My brother was cursed a long time ago. A burden he carries and a burden I carry. When he found Gorrum, I eventually pulled Gorrum to the side and told him about Elder Jyu'so's curse. His shadow powers weren't always as strong as you saw. Jyu'so loved to play tricks then and played the wrong trick on the wrong person. They cursed him to be consumed by his own darkness.
"It made his powers stronger but it would eventually eat at him and pull all of his sanity away from it. I'm shocked he didn't come to me right away for this… It's been… Seventy cycles?"
"Two more days would've been seventy." Gorrum nodded. Lady Vix'I nodded and made her way to the middle of the circle.
"With all the time in the world, he's learned to combat the curse and hold it off longer. Sadly it stopped him from being his usual self. His trickery nature faded for many, many years while he searched for a cure." Lady Vix'I sighed.
"And did he ever find one?" Zixin asked.
"Of course not!" Nabi smacked Zixin. "If the Elder did, do you think he would be here right now?"
"There was an interesting future reading he got over a hundred cycles ago…" Lady Vix'I chuckled. The roof contraption stopped and light began to fill the room. Zixin and Nabi looked up and moved out of the circle as Lady Vix'I kneeled down at the edge. "Two in one would save him from his curse."
"Two in one? You don't think that means…" Zixin looked at Nabi.
"Keng and Lee Seng?" Nabi finished. Gorrum chuckled drawing attention to him.
"Don't you think so, sir Gorrum?" Zixin asked.
"I've thought about it every day since I've met Keng. I'm not even sure if they're it, but from what Keng and Lily tell me, Keng and Lee Seng are… Two bodies, one soul."
