Chapter 441 Unmatched Evidence

Name:Biohuman Author:
"I think it could be some sort of monster's DNA." The Creator spoke. Lee Seng looked at the Creator, confused and shocked. Why would he say something so absurdly… correct to his face? The Creator let out a sigh and turned to go back to the computer. He began to go through with it, pulling up information and making it appear in front of Lee Seng.

"What's all this…?" Lee Seng asked. There were graphs of his DME progress. From the very beginning until now. It started at nothing and quickly skyrocketed. Overtime, it started to pan out, but then the last couple dots were lowering.

"The first graphic image is your DME levels. The second one is the abnormalities that keep on showing up within your body." The Creator told him.

"Abnormalities? Like what? This monster DNA you've mentioned?" Lee Seng looked to the Creator for an answer. His Father let out another sigh and turned, folding his arms, again.

"Not sure entirely. I've been injecting you with a variety of different Dark Matter altercations to see what your body would do to it. If I can use that as a tracker of sorts, I can pinpoint what's doing what, but this one doesn't seem to be telling me either." He flicked his finger in the air and another holographic screen appeared in front of Lee Seng. It was a list of different Dark Matter altercation tests they've been doing ever since November…

"You've been… doing this since November?" Lee Seng asked a little loudly. "You've known since November?"

"Lee, I know that's shocking but we've been doing our best to track what's happening to you. We don't know where it's going and what's—"

"You've all known this entire time?" Lee Seng asked, loudly. The Creator bit his lip and nodded. "And you didn't tell me because…?"

"Because you came out of that place looking worst for wear!" The Creator slammed his fist into the side of the counter top. Lee Seng gulped, scrolling through the list. "We've tried many different tests and each one came up with nothing! I'm trying to help you by figuring out what this is!"

"And not telling me when I was in physical and mental therapy at the time didn't pop up in your head?!?"

"You had so much other things to worry about than what was going on with your DME levels!"

"But it's my body! How the hell does that not make any sense to you? Am I a test subject for you like all the others?!?" Lee Seng shouted.

'Shit.' Lee Seng's quick realization came through. The Creator narrowed his eyes at his son.

"What do you mean by that? Like the others? You're the first case that's like this. How could you compare yourself to anyone else when you're that special?" The Creator asked softly. The Creator's softness scared Lee Seng. He had slipped up and was probably suspicious enough to the Creator now. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but you really had a million things to figure out in that time." Lee Seng simply nodded. His DME levels and the altercation tests confused him.

"Fine. I'll believe you." Lee Seng nodded. He pulled the suction cups off of him, releasing a blaring noise from the machine as he hopped off the chair and moved to his shirt and hoodie. "It's time for me to go." Lee Seng waved his phone in the air. "Ritsuka's coming for me. I need to get back." The Creator stuttered whilst trying to think of something to say to his son. Lee Seng quickly slipped his shirt on and moved the needle into his hoodie. He put on the hoodie and simultaneously slipped his phone and the needle into his pocket.

'I'm pretty sure he knows what these tests are doing to me.' Lee Seng turned, slipping his arms into his hoodie pockets.

"Are we meeting next week?" Lee Seng asked the Creator.

"Yup. We'll meet weekly until stated otherwise." The Creator replied. Lee Seng nodded and slowly moved towards the exit. "Oh, Lee Seng."

"Hm?" Lee Seng turned and stopped at the door. The Creator turned lifted the needle box up.

"I had two needles in here. Did you see where the other one went?"

"No," Lee Seng shook his head. "Was there really two in there?"

"I'm sure there was two in here. Maybe I misplaced it?" The Creator crouched down, scanning the floor as he slowly went.

"Dunno, Dad. You have been forgetful as of late. Maybe you always had one?" Lee Seng shrugged, turning to the door.

"Maybe." The Creator stood up and scratched his head. "Well, I shouldn't keep you from your friends. If you have anymore migraines that are too hard to handle, call me or see Dr. Valentin. We'll get you some help, alright?"

"Mmm, bye, Dad." Lee Seng waved at the Creator as he opened the door.

Third Year Academic Building

Lee Seng stepped out of the telepad room, hands in pockets as he casually scrolled his phone.

RY: @On 24/7 Surveillance I'm in the front with Olivia. You almost here?

LS: Walking out to the front. Be there in a min.

MV: @Bookworm and I are back home prepping stuff. (Everyone liked this message.)

A couple minutes later, Lee Seng pushed through the front doors, listening to the noise of his car idling in the front. He moved over and stepped into the very warm car, shutting the door behind him.

"Yo." Ritsuka waved.

"Hiya." Olivia turned to look at him.

"Hey. Did you wait long?" Lee Seng asked, seat-belting himself.

"Just got here not too long ago. How was the check-up?" Ritsuka answered, putting the car into drive.

"Went okay." Lee Seng answered. "He wanted to do a physical test, but I managed to get out of it." He beamed as Ritsuka and Olivia held their eye rolls in. "Oh!" Lee Seng leaned forward. "Are you guys going on a mission soon?"

"Yeah, why?" Olivia asked.

"When is it? I wanna go."

"You can't go!" Olivia spun around. "You're still on watch. Your Dad and Manny's Dad would be mad if you went out with us."

"C'mon, let me go with y'all. I'm so bored. I need something to do."

"Focus on getting better. Those migraines always inhibit you from doing things." Ritsuka glanced at the rear view mirror. "You're getting back into shape, but those migraines have been causing problems. You've been losing concentration because of it."

"Yeah, wouldn't want you to get one while we're out there." Olivia agreed.

"I'm already so bored from trying to take it easy…" Lee Seng groaned.

"You could just run some physical labor errand runs, then." Ritsuka shrugged. "The Guild has plenty of those that a lot of people don't wanna do. You could take plenty of breaks doing them too. Ask the Academy's guild for work."

"But I wanna kill stuff…" Lee Seng pouted.

"Never know~" Olivia spoke up with a sing-song voice. "I heard there's a TIIIIINY chance that you could actually run across some lone monster in the city. Might even make more money slaying it, too."

"The chances of that happening are so low."

"Just take it easy, dude." Ritsuka turned right and began to follow the last stretch of the trip back home. "Focus on getting back to one hundred percent and then you can go on all of the missions with us."

"Mmm, at least we'll be making enough money to sustain the whole group." Olivia nodded. Ritsuka turned right into their street and slowly rolled down. Lee Seng glanced out the window. The frozen view slowly turned as they entered the driveway. With a click of a button, the garage opened and Ritsuka slowly maneuvered the car into its spot.

The car turned off and the doors unlocked. Ritsuka and Olivia opened their doors and stepped out. Lee Seng lagged behind, letting out a sigh as he opened the door and stepped out.

"Oh, they're back!" Evan announced, opening the door. The doors slammed one by one as the warmth of the home escaped into the cold garage.

"Yo." Ritsuka waved.

"You guys ready?" Olivia asked. The two of them moved towards the stairs and took of their shoes. They each set it on the shoe rack as Lee Seng slowly shuffled over.

"Yeah, we're about done." Evan nodded. His eyes went over to Lee Seng and watched him pull his shoes off without much thought. "How'd your thing go, Lee?"

"Fine." Lee Seng replied. He climbed the stairs, passing Evan.

"Oh, everyone's home! Let's get started!" Liz happily cheered. "How was your project, Liv? Everything go alright?"

"It went well." Olivia nodded. Lee Seng shuffled over to the dining room and sat in one of the open spots near the right wall. "I thought I got the formula wrong, but it was actually just the steps. Had to redo it a couple of times, but I got the results. I finished writing down all of the numbers and stuff, so all's left to do is write the rest of it."

"That's good." Liz nodded. "How about you, Lee Seng? How was your check up?"

"Fine." Lee Seng replied, digging through his pocket for his phone. He pulled his phone out, knocking the syringe out onto the floor.

"Oh, did you—" Ritsuka began to reach down as Lee Seng quickly snatched it and slipped it into his hoodie pocket. "W-what was that?"

"Nothing. Just something my Dad gave me." Lee Seng lied. "Come on, let's eat. I'm starving."
